Remi was getting impatient now. At this rate, with all these random people dropping in, he might actually miss an ask. People would notice if that happened. He’d have to start locking the doors. Or God forbid, actually hire more people.
That was not going to happen if he could help it.
Besides, the longer he kept receiving visitors like this, the more undesirable visitors he’d be getting. He’d just gotten the actual manifestation of Doubt’s attention, so that was an absolute joy. It knows he exists now. It was only a matter of time until someone just popped right in that he just couldn’t handle-
His mind went blank as he saw the silhouette of a Litten in the reflection of the door, on the screen in front of him. His blood ran cold, and he held his breath. No no no. No, he had work to do. Maybe if he ignored him he’d go away.
…That was a female voice. Thank GOD. He turned in his chair, still riding the adrenaline from his earlier assumption, to see Ophelia, from dailyhoundournlitten. He made a face - the blog right now was on hiatus. Didn’t that mean that Ophelia shouldn’t be out making asks? Especially to him?
“Whaddaya do here?” she said, looking past Remi at his screens. “I heard a crow be mentioned, do you take care of crows?”
“…Good lord I am done talking about Crow,” Remi muttered under his breath. “There are other people in this community beyond that cat.”
He looked at Ophelia, suddenly realizing how tired he was. “We don’t take care of crows. You’re thinking of an aviary, Ophelia.”
