Day 24 - Fanfic Week Day 3: It's over Clayman, I have the six human souls!
While it might sound a bit 2016, I've had this idea for a Tensura/Undertale fanfic for a while. And while one might assume I'm throwing Rimuru into Undertale, and while that is part of the fic, it's really only the beginning of it. Instead, I'm throwing pre-Demon Lord Rimuru into the underground (which in this case is another world entirely) before breaking the barrier and taking monsterkind to another world (possibly taking the underground with him and linking it up with Veldora's cave) where monsters can reside beside humanity (at least in his nation).
With monsterkind freed and Asgore having abdicated in favor of the 'New Monster King' Rimuru Tempest, the monsters of the underground must adapt to the new world around them, their bodies, powers, and technically even their races having shifted to match this strange new world.
Asgore, the former Monster King, now settles down, trying to cope and live with what he has done. Even with Rimuru reviving the six fallen humans, he still feels a deep guilt for his actions.
Toriel, former queen of the underground and caretaker of the ruins finds a friendship with many of the monsters of both the underground and her new home. Gladly taking up a job as a teacher, she helps to teach the next generation alongside Shuna.
Undyne, the head of the Royal Guard, works with Benimaru and Hakurou to train up the next generation, restoring the Royal Guard in this new world, now with a newfound purpose; protect the Federation.
Alphys is gladly welcomed in as one of many of Tempest's brilliant minds in researching all types of Magitech, as well as indulges with Veldora's 'sacred texts.'
Papyrus, although initially unsure of the path to take, once more takes up arms with the Royal Guard, even if others are doubtful if he should. That being said, with the guard no longer needing to just mindlessly slaughter, with the right training he could make for a decent addition.
Sans... is skeptical, or rather doubtful. At first he believes it all might be reset once more. But soon he comes to understand the truth; this world is final. The decisions made cannot be undone. This is both reassuring and problematic. No longer would his efforts be undone in the blink of an eye, but it also meant that if he wanted a happy ending; he could not afford to stand by anymore. When push finally comes to shove, he has no promise, nor nihilism, to hold him back any longer.
