iwtv seasons one and two was like being tucked into bed and read a heartbreaking story by Louis du pointe du lac. The Vampire Lestat is like your blackout drunk uncle trying to tell you an anecdote at a family gathering

i get why people who havent read the books are irritated/confused by the crass shift in mood or atmosphere between seasons 1-2 and the vampire lestat, but as someones whos read the books i genuinely think its hilariously accurate. like. the first book was all philosophical and then in the second book lestat does literal fucking cartwheels when he finds out about his vampire powers im not even kidding.
