hey mod, I just wanted to ask if Mozart and Salieri actually are good together as a team! I'm in the NA server and I'm trying to plan out teams already with Salieri

I think that they’re ok together in general but personally, I think there’s better options for Salieri! However, it depends on the situation of the battle and what you want Salieri to be. Arts teams in general can work together by default but there are different strategies of np spamming, supporting one dps, etc, etc. Personally, I think it’s a more flexible card deck to work teams around than Buster and Quick based teams!
So you see, Mozart is more fit as a one turn buff support:
All of his skills are only in effect for one turn! He’s meant for popping off his skills and then dying immediately (via Poster Girl ce) or switching him with a different team member
Salieri on the other hand isn’t much of a one turn dps attacker to go along with Mozart. First of all, his arts card up and his def down are both “x” amount of times rather than turns. This means that he HAS to crit/attack on the turns you activate those skills on. “Well, wouldn’t Mozart’s star bomb help out with that?” If you have Mozart’s 3rd skill at 10, generally, yeah. However, Salieri has the misfortune of having shit Avenger star weight, which leads to many situations where the supports with him will hog the stars and he won’t be able to crit - so be aware that if you do have Mozart and Salieri team up, Mozart is more likely to get the goddamn stars than Salieri will.
So how would you fit Mozart and Salieri together? It depends on whether you want Salieri as your main dps or not. Salieri as your main dps? Grab Waver, Tamamo, Paracelsus, Hans, or Gao Changgong (and give Salieri a star absorb ce while you’re at it). If he’s more of your secondary dps/aoe np attacker, then I suggest getting Hokusai, Qin Shi Huang, Izou, Saberlot or any arts attacker with a star absorb will be good.
Personally, I use Salieri as either an np spammer or a secondary dps!
This is my np spam team!To make their np spam flow better, it’s best to have Tamamo’s np be the last of the np chain so she can get their np going again. It’s an extremely fun team and best used for Challenge Quests that has multiple bosses or a high number of mobs!!
The cons of this set up is whether you have Tamamo or Hokusai though.
I know what you’re thinking, why the ever loving fuck do I have 3 whole dps attackers in one team. And I’ll be honest…all of them are in my backline most of the time. It’s because I want to raise their bond exp >A<
However! They’ve saved me a whole bunch of times when frontline died off! And they actually work pretty well together as a frontline team too! For this team, Shi Huang is more of a debuffer than an attacker, and Izou is the main attacker here! It’s best if you try to pop off Salieri and Izou’s nps in the same turn and have Shi Huang tank when the enemy np gauge is maxed!
I think the cons of this team is that you have to snag either Shi Huang or Izou for you to test it out >A< Izou and Shi Huang also compete for stars after Shi Huang nps as well.I also want to bring up another np spam set up with Salieri! It’s called the “Salieri System” (サリエリシステム) in the Japanese fandom!
In general you need Salieri and Paracelsus with a 2nd support (usually Tamamo) or Salieri and double Paracelsus for the np spam basics to work! The ce that you want on Salieri is Azure Magical Girl (the Miyu ce) for it’s 40~50% np battery and a huge 25~30% np generation boost!
I think that the Salieri System set up is really doable since you can get Tamamo or a sr/ssr support via your friendlist!
A good example of Salieri System is this video! The entire team is made up of 3 stars as well! Salieri lived for a huge portion of the fight (he dies around the 10 minute mark) but it’s still a really effective team composition!
I hope that I was able to cover the basic understanding of Salieri and gave you some more ideas of what team comps he could be in! There’s also the question of whether you are willing to dish out the money to get gold servants that would essentially help support him too! Although he works fine with other silver and below servants, I’m not sure if you’ll go as far as getting other good gold supports to make him the strongest either.
