I am coping better now. It was really tough at the beginning! Swmrs was a big part of me and my family and their music helped me get through some tough times, so it did feel Bad to know that all of that was happening behind the scenes. I felt very betrayed, dumb and nauseous. We were all betrayed and lied to, and it took a lot to understand that I'm not Dumb for not knowing their true colors. Thank you so much for asking! How are you doing?

good morning! I know it’s been so totally long but I lost my password and have been unable to log in. Of course, Things Happened and I absolutely no longer support swmrs whatsoever, and you shouldn’t either!

It’s been months but I'm still absolutely horrified by what Joey did, and what the rest of the band let slide. Fuck that shit. Abusers do not belong in the music scene, performative privilege fucks don’t deserve to call themselves punk. They meant a lot to me, and it was really fucking hard moving on, but it did truly open my eyes on who I look up to and how I expressed by support for them.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and this blog! I will most likely be deleting everything or just archiving it. If you ever need someone to talk to about the situation (yes, even though it’s been months, it’s still really painful, and feels a bit like a breakup, also there’s always tea popping up that I love to discuss) or just feel like seeing what I’m up to, I’m available at @eveofdeestruction.

Again, thank you so much for everyone who’s supported me and this blog! I’ve met some amazing people through their music, and I still hold these relationships dear to my heart. For that, I’m forever grateful. Love you all xox
