Doilies and Dandelions [Danny/Marian]
Danny walked into the cafe. Although he’d seen someone step out not too long ago, he was surprised to find the cafe mostly empty, except for the one person working. The music playing through the cafe seemed amplify how empty the place was- at least, it seemed that way to him. He wasn’t a huge music fan.
He went up to the girl. “Yeah, uh, hey,” he said. “..So, do you have a special, or something like that?” he asked awkwardly, looking around for the menu. He could smell spices common for this season, and coffee. He wasn’t really sure what he wanted- he’d just come into the cafe on a whim.
Standing quickly behind the counter she looked almost nervously alert, as if caught with her hands in a cookie jar. "Oh g-good afternoon, sir!" Scurrying over, the sound of her small heels echoing uncomfortably throughout the mostly empty room she greeted him with a small curtsy.
"Oh, a menu a menu--" Nervously still she reached under the counter and slid one gently across the counter to the young man. "Please, take a seat and I..."
She took a moment to look him over and placed a hand on her hip. "Sir, your shirt is wide open and you are most certainly going to catch a chill."
