some late night ryuumiko predictions since we're nearing the end of the june bride event:
big events:
- ukihashi chara 1: chi no genbu. we still have 2, 4, 5, and 7. i personally would love to see shinsaku bcs i'm curious how he'll interact with the daybreak charas. yasutsugu would be interesting too bcs [redacted]. oshihito is also veeery interesting bcs i'd like to know how they'd do it, but very much unlikely.
- new li, probably from blazing flame world. i'm betting on either katakura kojuurou (probably chi no suzaku) or takeda shingen (definitely chi no byakko). leaning more towards shingen. not putting sen no rikyuu here bcs he's probably chi no genbu and we already got saeki.
- ukihashi chara 2: if we get shingen, then it'll most likely be chi no byakko. if not, than either chi no byakko or the role of the new hachiyou.
if it's chi no byakko, i'm personally hoping for hiiragi, though probably unlikely bcs of story and we also already have a cv mikishin chara. i didn't put 7 in the 1st ukihashi chara bcs i also very much want to see kanetsugu here. lowkey very interested to see how he'd interact with kenshin.
- anniversary event. there'd probably be a rerun banner, maybe the new year 2026 one. maybe guild feature would be released?
small events/banners in between big ones:
- saeki's birthday (6/25)
- katsura's birthday (8/11)
- masamune's birthday (9/5)
- fall/autumn banner
- tanabata? maybeee??
- new dragon palace chapter(s)
- we're still missing spring kiyomori. tbh im not entirely sure if they're still going to release him this year (since it's waaaay past spring)
[Ryuumiko] Diamond Battlefield Intro & Season 1 Info
i legit forgot whether this was mentioned in the livestream, but in the june 9th update, ryuumiko released a new trial called the diamond battlefield. unlike tryst in reverie which is a monthly thing with a different theme each month, this is a seasonal trial (probably only opens during big events with story) with high difficulty battles
and by high difficulty i mean VERY difficult it's not an exaggeration
more info below the cut. hope you find it useful!
What is Diamond Battlefield?
diamond battlefield is a new, seasonal, high difficulty content that consists of 5 stages. each stage has 3-5 battles, and each battle has goals that you can accomplish. by accomplishing said goals, you get diamonds (💎), and collecting certain amounts of diamonds grant you rewards.
sounds pretty simple, don't you think? what did i mean by high difficulty? well, here's what makes it challenging:
- unlike other trials, the enemies we're fighting are the "hachiyou" themselves. fortunately, they won't attack the miko/player so it's easier to activate divine skills, but the thing is, your attack doesn't really deal much damage to the enemy. the turn/round limit is also reduced from 10 to 8
- once used in a battle, that same card cant be used in a different battle in that stage. e.g. you already used guardian yoritomo in battle 1 stage 1. you cant use him in battle 2 stage 1, BUT you can use him again in the stage 2.
- level limit. if your cards passed the level limit, it'll be adjusted to said level. if you have a level 120 card but the limit is 100, the stats will be adjusted to level 100.
- buffs from equipments, player level, affection level, level of dragon god's protection & the facilities in the dragon palace will not take effect.
- "cover" (a card protecting other cards/miko) also won't activate.
- the only buff that will take effect is the "special effect" from the battle itself. if your card meets the criteria, then it'll be eligible for the buff. the thing is, since we're fighting against hachiyous, they can also benefit from the same buff if they meet the criteria.
- in stage 5, battles become an endless mode. the enemies will revive and you have to deal as much damage as you can within the turn limit (or you get obliterated, whichever comes first). there will be a ranking based on the total of your high scores from all 5 battles.
fortunately for all of us, we can retry each battle as long as we have the battle attempts. battle attempts will be refreshed every 2 hours, with the max limit of 5 attempts. other than from refresh, you can also use items to increase your attempt.
now, let's get into the actual battle.
this is how the ui looks like when you first enter the diamond battlefield page.
this is the first stage, which only has 3 battles. on the top right part, we can see that the level limit (カードLv制限) is level 100. this applies to all 5 stages, and also applies to the enemies' cards.
below that, it says that i still have 5 attempts (残り回数) left and that auto-recovery of the attempts isn't possible since i already have the max amount.
the 💎 on the left side shows how much diamonds i obtained for this stage. since i already cleared all the goals, there's 9 written in the corner of the box. the stuffs on the right side shows what rewards will you get when you have that amount of diamonds. you need to have 7 💎 to proceed to stage 2.

[Ryuumiko] Perm Cards - Blazing Flame & Daybreak World (2/?)
so i actually already posted this on my wordpress a few days ago and just uhhh kinda forgot i have to cross post this on tumblr. ryuumiko also just dropped a new trial and i reeeeeally want to talk about it but i feel like i have to post this one first.
as usual, card skills translation, tl's note, and usability of the cards are under the cut. hope you find it useful!
some things you might want to know before reading the cards skill:
- The card stats are HP, ATK, PDEF (physical def), SDEF (spiritual def), ACC, EVA, CRIT, and SPD. Stats differ based on the card’s level, equipment used, player level, affection level, level of dragon god’s protection, and the level of the facilities in the dragon palace.
- There are 5 types of cards: Attack, Guard, Support, Sabotage, and Heal. The skills differ depending on what type the card is.
- There are 2 types of range: close and long ranged cards. Close ranged cards attack the enemies in the front row. Long ranged cards attack the enemies in the back row.
- There are 5 elements: wood (blue), earth (yellow), water (grey), fire (red), metal (green). Not only is this lore-important, it also affects the battle heavily. Each of these elements is strong against one element and weak against another. Generally speaking, it goes like this: wood > earth > water > fire > metal > wood (with > meaning stronger).
For example, wood is strong against earth but weak against metal. When you use wood against earth enemies, you deal more damage and receive less damage. The reverse happens when you use wood against metal enemies.
- The multiplier in the divine skill might differ depending on your progression of the character’s route. If you’ve calmed the rampaging god in said route, the divine skill will be awakened and become more powerful. In this post, the one written inside the [bracket] is the awakened multiplier.

Translator’s Note
- Katsura’s Master of Schemes was originally 上目遣いの熟達者. From what I read, 上目遣い doesn’t only give a “cute” vibe, but sometimes also giving “calculating”, which is why I decided on using “schemes”.
- Skill description and multipliers are either taken from the game or from the jp fanmade wiki.
- Why is there “raise” and “increase”? Well, they use different kanji, with “raise” being 上昇 and “increase” being 増加. I’m guessing it has something to do with the damage calculation.
Thoughts About the Cards
For context, I’m an F2P player who played since release. Cards I have at Lv200 are Yoritomo’s White Wings & Guardian, Kenshin’s Bishamonten, and Katsura’s Learning. Unfortunately, I’m still missing Yoritomo’s Azuma Ichige and Saeki’s Cat Search. I have the rest of the cards but their progression varied. With that in mind, here are my thoughts about the cards:
For damage dealing purposes, my most used cards are Yoritomo’s White Wings & Guardian and Katsura’s Learning. They work well not just against enemies they’re stronger to, but also against enemies they’re neutral to. They’re also great for clearing out mobs since their skill is a multi-hit one. The downside is that the multi-hit causes the enemy’s skill gauge to charge faster.
To avoid this, single-hit attacker works wonders. Because of the PDEF ignore, Hijikata’s Leader does a really good job dealing damage, especially when critical. Theoretically, Intoxicated Saeki and Carrot-and-Stick Hijikata would work well too, but I don’t have them at a high enough level to be using/testing them. If you want to make your damage dealer do a critical hit, you can pair them with Saeki’s Cat Search for the CRIT up.
Other options for AoE attacker are Masamune’s Camaraderie & Feast. He still has the same problem as Kiyomori (random target), but he hits more enemies.
Before talking about the Guard cards, one thing you need to know about Ryuumiko’s battle is that it’s limited to 10 turns only. If you don’t finish before 10 turns, you’ll lose, or in Takamagahara’s case, the battle will conclude. Because of this, personally, I only use Guard cards to utilize the Rage status so my damage dealers don’t die. I usually stack EVA up and P/SDEF up for the equipment and well, it works so far? This strategy, however, only works when the enemy’s skill is a single target attack. One thing to note is that Hijikata’s Offense and Defense also has ignore SDEF on his normal skill, so he might be a good alternative for a damage dealer if you really don’t have any other cards.
Lastly, our one and only healer card in the perm set, Katsura’s Loyalist. With the same reason as the above, I just find it much easier to just deal as much damage as I can to end the battle faster. Offense is the best defense, and all that. The other reason is that I only have him at Lv120, so he’s really just not strong enough to be put in my daily roster. If you’re in a pinch, he’s a decent healer though.
god im sooo happy to be able to finish this before the update is live lmao. anyway! we're getting wedding cards!!! at half anniversary!!!! lowkey pretty insane, imo, other games can take a few years before wedding.
card stories, as per usual, are unlocked at ⭐5 and ⭐8. BUT! we can get the tuxedo outfit at just ⭐5!!! and you can make him wear it in the dragon palace!!!!!!!!!
card skills tl is below the cut (pspsps they're very strong w). hope you find it helpful, and happy wedding!!🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉

=================================
thoughts about the cards
let me just say one word: insane. the skills?????? though they do have a big drawback: you need to have at least 2 different cards from the set. oh, and disclaimer, this is just my personal opinion. take it with a whole load of salt, thank you.
first up is our DPS: kenshin and masamune. raw power-wise, masamune deals more damage with his higher base stats and higher vigor percentage. the thing is, he consumes all tear stack on target with his divine skill. to use him optimally, he would need to be put last in the turn order. you would also need katsura or hijikata to quickly stack tear before using masamune's divine skill again. his attack also targets random enemy, which means he might just not hit the enemy you want him to hit.
kenshin would probably have lower output than masamune, but he always targets the one with the highest ATK, which would usually be the boss. he also doesn't consume stack, so other cards can also utilize the dmg up from the tear stack at all times.
now, in order for these DPSs to stay alive, having kiyomori or saeki would help a lot. kiyomori has a STACKABLE EVA up for front row allies. and it's at 15% too, which is higher than currently equippable talismans with only 5% at gold level. to boot, his divine skill also raises EVA for all allies.
saeki, on the other hand, has STACKABLE barrier that nulls enemy attack. it's on ALL of his skill. if the enemy has tear stacked and its skill attack is a 1-2 hit single target attack that attacks a card with the highest ATK, the DPS is set for life with just saeki's normal skill lmao. on top of that, while his base stat isnt the highest (since he's a support card), his multiplier is high enough for him to deal a decent amount of damage. he's literally the perfect card for season 18 takamagahara boss
last one, but just as equally important, the tear stacker. we have yoritomo, katsura, and hijikata for this role. while yoritomo only stacks one tear with his divine skill, his passive allows him to stack tear with his normal attack. katsura and hijikata have similar skills. katsura stacks 3 tear and has 3 hit skill, which imo is suited to clear out mobs. hijikata has a 1 hit skill with a high multiplier that stacks 4 tear, which is more suited for bosses.
so, which one do i pull for?
- if you don't have any DPS: kenshin/masamune + tear stacker
- if you already have DPS but want more survivability: kiyomori/saeki + tear stacker
- but i only have enough crystals to pull for one card...
tbh, depends on what you need and want. though personally, i'd recommend anyone other than the DPS. they only hit harder than other DPSs bcs of vigor, and vigor is only really useful when you have tear stacks.
with the tear stacker, all cards (incl non wedding cards) can make use of the extra dmg up. with kiyomori and saeki, their buffs are already really good even without the tear stacks.
so, since we're going to have a rerun banner for the half anniversary, i thought it might be a good idea to translate the card skills too, just in case there might be players who pulls based on the card skills and how meta it is (also bcs im still working on the story translations hdjdjsj pls bear with me)
first up is the flower haze (heian) world. each character has three perm cards that you can pull from the normal and friend point banner. you can also get these from the exchange shop.
the translation will be below the cut. hope it's useful!
so, before i start with the card skills, some preface (might add more later in case i forgot something):
- the card stats are HP, ATK, PDEF (physical def), SDEF (spiritual def), ACC, EVA, CRIT, and SPD. stats differ based on the card's level, equipment used, player level, affection level, level of dragon god's protection, and the level of the facilities in the dragon palace.

- there are 2 types of range: close and long ranged cards. close ranged cards attack the enemies in the front row. long ranged cards attack the enemies in the back row.

- 雨降花, from my google search, refers to flowers that, according to legends, will cause rain when plucked. according to kotobank, this term refers to either spotted bellflower, weigela hortensis, or japanese bindweed depending on region. i also saw an article saying it's white clover. however, none of those matches the visual on the card.
i ended up looking 「雨降花 白い」 and i landed on 東一華, the anemone raddeana. unfortunately, i haven't found its name in english, which is why i kept azuma ichige in the translation.
- あの手この手 could be translated as "by various/every means" or "using every trick in the book". looking at it emotionally, i decided to translate it as "desperate".
- as i don't have cat search saeki, his unawakened multiplier is currently written as unknown. the rest of the stats are either taken from the game or from the jp fanmade wiki.
thoughts about the cards:
for context, i'm an f2p player who played since release. i have white wings & guardian yoritomo at lvl 200, but unfortunately still missing azuma ichige yoritomo & cat search saeki. i have the rest of the cards but their progression varied. with that in mind, here are my thoughts about the cards:
- since saeki is the newest hachiyou added (at this point of writing), his skills have some very interesting effects. not only that, his multipliers are insane. i'd definitely recommend getting & upgrading his cards. though since these are perms, don't go overboard with pulling since you might get spooked anyway in other banners.
- guardian yoritomo has a really nice SDEF debuff with his divine skill. i recommend using his divine skill at turn start so other cards can deal more damage, or you can activate it after the enemy's action so you can make use of the SDEF down for the next turn.
- from my playthrough, white wings yoritomo is my most used card because of the damage he deals, even against enemies he's neutral to. unfortunately, his 3 hit attack causes the enemy's skill gauge to charge faster.
- not really much to say about kiyomori's cards. his downside, imo, is the random target since sometimes he's just not hitting the enemies i want him to hit.
cotton rose is great for its AoE attack. probably dragon's strings too, but i only have him at lv80 so i barely use him. sea creatures' 4 hit attack is great for clearing out weaker mobs, but when you're doing lv200 takamagahara? eh, not so much. the poison is barely making a dent too, so...
hello, would you look at that, it's almost ryuumiko's half anniversary! there'll be a livestream (5/21, 8pm jst) talking about it!
seiyuus that will be in the livestream:
- toya kikunosuke (kiyomori)
- masuyama takeaki (kenshin)
- kijima ryuuichi (masamune)
- suzuki yuuto (katsura)
there will also be a countdown login bonus and a RERUN banner!
the login bonus will start from 5/21 00:00 until 5/27 23:59
and the rerun banner will start from 5/21 00:00 until 6/25 23:59. that's like more than a month???? there's no announcement of which cards will be in the rerun banner yet, but judging from the pic below, i think it's safe to assume that this set of lim SSRs would be in it
so uhh, prepare your crystals, i guess? and good luck to all of us!
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Miko of the Dragon Palace Livestream Recap (4/6)
it's still 6th april where i'm from so happy anniversary to the harukanaru toki no naka de franchise! to celebrate, ryuumiko is having the usual livestream and there are a bunch of announcements! you can watch the livestream here. the recap will be below the cut. hope you enjoy it!
today's host is suzuki yuuto (katsura's va) and miura katsuyuki (yoritomo's va). in the opening they're having some small talks, like the haruka matsuri last month and the april fools joke in ryuumiko. they also touched on yorihisa's event for a bit before suddenly the background changed and an unknown voice started talking.
after that the hosts called out to the owner of the mysterious voice and it turns out to be the watanuki ryuunosuke, the voice actor for saeki masanaga!
and as you probably already guessed, that means saeki becomes romanceable as a new hachiyou in ryuumiko! he'll become playable tomorrow (4/7) after the maintenance at 13.00 JST.
quick intro to masanaga
yuuto pointed out how onmyouji showed up pretty often in haruka, and then asked watanuki how acting as saeki was like. according to watanuki, the miko suddenly showing up being able to do the stuffs that usually only he could do became a threat to his position and also his identity. in the early parts of saeki's route, saeki was complaining and muttering to himself about it.
watanuki said he was having fun during the recording. apparently saeki's lines tends to have a lot of boke (as you can see during his entrance scene earlier in the livestream). yuuto commented on how it's a nice change in the hachiyou lineup, since it's rare that a hachiyou is introduced with a funny aspect right from the start. miura chimed in with how it'd be interesting to see the gap/switch once the miko and saeki get closer.
yuuto asked what miura thought of saeki and his appeal. miura's answer is the おもしろおじさん😂 when he first got his script and read about saeki, he thought that saeki was very gloomy, but on the other hand his loyalty for yoritomo was also really strong. he also mentioned that he likes saeki as a character.
moving on, they showed a clip of saeki & the miko's encounter (i definitely recommend watching this part bcs he's just too funny 😂 i'd probably record it too and post it here but idk). they also gave us 3 voice clips of saeki's reaction when:
- yoritomo said to the miko that he's expecting good things from her
- when the miko smiled and said yoroshiku to saeki
- when saeki saw the miko talking to hojo munetoki
in the next part, they showed us saeki's home screen line and his first chat. the hosts were commenting on how long saeki's messages are, and how it looked like he was so proud of himself for being able to send a text message
watanuki was like, i just want them to get along asap lol
there's also a clip of the 神気注入!
turned out it was also the first time the hosts saw it so obviously yuuto was fanboying lol.
announcements:
- saeki's perm ssrs
- free 10x gacha ticket (flower haze)
- login bonus, exchange shop
- new tryst in reverie theme, charas that will show up: yoritomo, kenshin, katsura, hijikata
- follow & retweet campaign
- saeki's merch
- haruka matsuri 2026 blu ray
- ryuumiko gratte
next section is a new corner where they talk about ryuumiko's gameplay. this time they're explaining how to set up teams for battles (lowkey needed bcs all this time i've always used auto lmao).
the last section is them reading fans' messages. two of the messages (that miura read lmao) talked about how they wanted to hear yoritomo do a rap bcs of tryst in reverie's theme in march. yuuto also added to the fire by asking (paraphrased) "does that mean yoritomo's character song will have rap in it?"😂 miura ended up just saying "that depends on the adults (staff)"
So, Ryuumiko has this thing where Tamaki will make a post on the かわら版 to celebrate that day. Since today is March 14th in Japan, that means today is White Day! Here's today's post:
Tamaki: Today is "White Day"! It's a day where you can return the presents from "Valentine's Day".
Brother Urchin: R-really?! I got a gift from my sister but I haven't prepared anything...😭
Sister Urchin: Brother, I'd love the hair ornament that's been popular lately in the general store🩷
Katsura: Hmm, so hair ornaments are popular. I'll go look for one that suits the Miko🙆
Masamune: I already prepared mine. Looks like I'm going to be the first one to give her a present.
Yoritomo: I saw Master Hijikata and Takosuke talking not too long ago... I wonder if they're also talking about presents?
Hijikata: I was just making small talks with that octopus. Not everything I talk about has to be about the Miko, no?
Kenshin: You and a spirit having a small talk... I find that somewhat difficult to believe.
Kiyomori: Oh my, what a predicament to have such worthy rivals. Well, I'll be off and look for our beautiful lady.
.
.
.
and that's it! idk about you but i find yoritomo & kenshin ganging up against hijikata very funny 😂
so hinoe's update is live and i just hdhsjskskknd cryingggggg 😭😭😭😭😭 hinoe isnt even that high on my list but seeing him move and talk in the year 2026?????? just makes me emotional 😭😭 AND THE MUSICCCCC THEYRE USING HARUKA3 BGM IM SOBBING 😭😭😭😭😭
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Miko of the Dragon Palace Livestream Recap (2025/1/19)
im back with news!!! tldr: hinoe from haruka3 will be released in ryuumiko tomorrow (1/20)! full recap will be under the cut, and here's the link to the stream archive on youtube.
im still working on the translations! hoping i can put out the new year event story up soon. after that it'd probably be the dragon palace main story.
if you notice i also changed the translated title from my previous posts 👀
without further ado, here's the recap! hope you enjoy it!
- hinoe's event, "the floating bridge of spacetime" will run from 1/20 until 2/2. this title is also a nod to the haruka 1,2, & 3 collab game, 夢の浮橋 (the floating bridge of dreams)
- the event mechanism is probably similar to the new year event, minus the raid. you fight battles in the event map, clear missions, get the event currency and exchange it in the event shop.
- hinoe's ssr card story takes place after the 恋愛 ending in haruka3
- this is the preview of hinoe's card art, drawn by mizuno tohko
- fire element, attack type, close range
- this is the limited items you can get from the event. if it's the same as the new year event, there are going to be gacha tickets and mats too
- you can use the title, icon, and stickers on your profile like this
things you can get from login bonus:
- hinoe's sr card
- spacetime bond (時空の絆) and spacetime crystals (時空の結晶) for hinoe, which i assume are mats for uprading his sr card
- awakening ore (覚醒の鉱石) used for leveling up equipments
- pickup gacha tickets
- if you have hinoe's sr and/or ssr, you can set him on the home screen even after the event ends
- setting-wise, he's meeting up with nozomi (haruka3 mc) in the dream's path (夢の通い路) (edit: if you see the one before this, i'm so sorry turns out i just cant read LMAO)
you can use his cards for:
- task/duty: requests, weapon production, talisman production
- battles: other worlds (chara routes), trials of the trench (挑魔の海溝, tentative tl by me), takamagahara (daily mats dungeon), and others
- a new trial where (i assume) you can sometimes go on a date after? called the "tryst in reverie" (tentative tl by me). in jp it's 夢現の逢瀬, but the 夢現 is read むげん and not the usual ゆめうつつ, which imo is interesting bcs むげん(無限) can also mean infinite. im guessing the battle will be more like takamagahara where you can do 3 battles a day everyday instead of a one time thing?
ryuumiko is up for pre-download! koei also updated their contents guidelines, and while it specifically stated for videos/streams, i'd still like to follow the rules (you know, just in case).
koei prohibited video/image sharing for chara story beyond chapter 36 and card stories beyond chapter 2. written thoughts/reviews are fine beyond those chapters as long as it doesn't include images/videos. there's no mention of the main story (the one that takes place in the dragon palace), so i'm guessing that's okay to share?
on another note: there's more than 36 chapters for the character story (i'm assuming they mean route)??? can i be hopeful that the romance here will be as good/fleshed out as the mainline games???????????
next im either going to do a recap of the pre-release stream (maybe just the important bits bcs its uhh sort of impossible for me to do it in less than a day w) or the compatibility quiz
okay, so, while waiting for the agf stage to start, i might as well write my thoughts about the ryuumiko charas. (EDIT: watched the stream, nothing new other than preview for 神気注入 and 添い寝 feature. there will be another livestream at 11/25)
writing this as someone who completed 2-7 and played a bit of 1. feel free to write what you thought about the game/charas/series too, i'd love to have more people talk about it gdhdjsjsksk
next post would probably the intro for world(s?) and system?
thoughts under the cut!
maybe i should start from the character?
- yoritomo: i have so much thought about him idk where to start dhjsjsjsks
as someone who already played haruka3, the image of yoritomo is already so ingrained in my brain i cant really imagine a "softer" one. though imo he does look, read, and feel like a ten no seiryuu. probably the more reserved ones, like yorihisa/yoritada. compared to the other 平安末期 otomege (genroh & birushana), he leans more towards the latter, though i think not as kuu as that. also wondered what would happen to masako. would she just not be there?
- kiyomori: poster boy! rare, but happened before for chi no seiryuu (kurou from haruka3). i don't really have that much thought about him tbh, but i did get him in the 相性診断 so maybe ill end up liking him? somewhat flirty, so maybe a mix between asvin, ryouma, and darius?
- kenshin: ALSO LOTS OF THOUGHTS bcs he does not (to me, at least) read or feel like a ten no seiryuu. or just a seiryuu in general. he's giving genbu, leaning more towards chi than ten. maybe a little bit chi no byakko? not too familiar with sengoku era so idk much about him BUT ID LOVE TO BE PROVEN WRONGGGG very excited for his route!!
(the 診断 result is correct in that i *do* very much want to know the real him lol)
- IF we ever get to romance other hachiyou in the heian world, i'd lowkey love another yoshitsune (hoping as chi no genbu bcs i love me some tragic man HAHAH). maybe kagetoki too? and kiso yoshinaka. since kiyomori is still young, tomomori and shigehira would probably be out of the question.
- masamune: definitely ten no suzaku. he's practically sazaki 2.0. hoping for some angst too since sazaki have some (those 2 bad endings live rent free in my head), but also because his va said he (paraphrased) 闇を抱えて and would only show his weak side to the miko
- katsura: so initially i wasnt too interested in him since happy go lucky, kawaii type charas arent exactly my type BUT yesterday my twt feed was going crazy over him bcs of the newly announced acrylic merch
LOOK AT HIM????? HIS EXPRESSION?????? his va was also said that he has more than just his cute side to him and im just?? ok bet lets goooooooo. chi no byakko is also more varied personality wise, so like, he's not that out of the box. i mean, we have ouchi and kagetoki too, so.
- hijikata: okay he's hijikata, he's tragic, he's chi no genbu. though i have to say, the purple color palette is an odd choice for chi no genbu, they're usually more on the (dark) green side. will they switch the color palette with ten?
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Priestess of the Dragon Palace Character Intro
finally! proper intro! tomorrow is animate girls festival (agf) and there's a segment for ryuumiko so obviously i have to stop procrastinating 😂
as per usual, disclaimer: english & japanese aren't my native language. translator's note will be at the very end of the post. if you find a mistake, feel free to point it out! hope you enjoy it!

And that's the end of the intro! Below here is translator's note, feel free to read/skip it. I'll write a different post for my general thoughts of the hachiyou (and maybe another post for agf recap?)
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
i know, there's too much tl's note. some of these probably don't even need tl's note. but let's just go over them one by one, shall we?
1. 苦労性: from what i looked up it points to someone who worries about the smallest detail, hence worrywart. maybe there's a word that's more fitting, but i couldnt think of anything else atm
2: 桜霞の世界: 桜 is sakura, 霞 is mist/haze. using mist made it sound like a perfume in my head, so haze. sakura haze didn't really sound good either, so flower haze.
3. from what i often see, 海月 is usually read kurage (jellyfish), but i also saw kaigetsu and midzuki on google, so i'm not entirely sure which reading they're using.
4. 腹の底が見えにくく: when it's hard to see what someone's actually thinking/feeling. saw some synonyms on weblio and one of them was 本心を見せない。highlighting the 見せない part, which to me feel intentional, hence secretiveness.
5. creative liberty. og line was: その身を委ねておいで. i was trying to make kiyomori sounds less uptight than yoritomo
6. i just cannot, for the life of me, wrap my head around the concept of 残酷な気分. like, how does that even feel???? from what i've seen 残酷, depending on context, can be cruel, brutal, ruthless, etc. but i thought writing "feeling cruel/ruthless" just doesnt translate well in english? then i tried to show it through action, so uhh hopefully you can feel his ruthlessness?
8. what i heard was 今後は私も、あなたと不思議な縁を感じながら、芋を食べるのかもしれません. but i felt like i couldnt quite hear what he was saying, especially at the 芋を食べる part. and then i remembered how kanetsugu (haruka7, counselor? of the uesugi clan) had a thing for like rice? and its production?? so i went on google and looked up 「上杉謙信 芋」 😂 found some articles that said ramie fibers (青苧) might be his source of income, but apparently that still haven't been proven yet? and that wasnt really related to what i was looking up, so 😅
also looked up 「上杉謙信 じゃがいも」and 「上杉謙信 さつまいも」jic (bcs いも just wasnt clear enough) and found out he held a feast before battles to pray for victory? one of the dish is called 串芋 and it used taro? so maybe he *was* just talking about eating taro??
9-10. creative liberties.
11. if i didn't mishear anything, he's saying: 神子さん、受け入れがたい条件かもしれないが、一つ言っておく。命と正面から向き合うな。潰れるぞ. am a bit unsure about the 命と向き合う part
12. there's a lot of thought behind this choice, so bear with me for a sec. original word is 朝幕, and google search showed that it refers to imperial-shogunal relationship. doesn't really sound nice for a world name. if we break down the word, 朝 (asa/chou) means morning, and 幕 (tobari/maku,baku) means curtain. according to a yahoo answer, "tobari" is usually used to depict something that you use to cover something else so you can no longer see what's behind it, so it's more synonymous with night. searching up 朝のとばり led me to fgo's oberon noble phantasm, which didn't really help lol.
"maku" can mean acts (in a play) or end of said act. i was going to use the 2nd meaning (since bakumatsu was also the end of the tokugawa shogunate), but i just couldn't think of a word. end of morning would be noon, which is just ???? for a name. but curtains can also raise, which would show the beginning of something. and what's the word that shows the start of a morning? dawn, daybreak, etc. i just happened to really like the word daybreak lol
13 & 14. creative liberty. i'm trying to make him sound like a military man, but i uhhhh may or may not have made him sound more aggressive than he actually is??? but he does sound cold/gruff in his lines so??
15. og line: ちょっとした戯れだ。上官の腕を振りほどくなんて真似はするなよ。just a guess, i think theyre on a mission which required akari to be holding his hand/arm (like a couple)???? and hes probably flirting with her?? and she's flustered??? idk man. BUTTT he said it in a much lighter tone than the first two lines so it's all in good spirit?? hopefully???????????
16. strange, but not in a bad way? more in the 不思議, unknown kinda vibe?
17. they're using a more archaic? version of "you", 汝. not fluent in shakespearean english so i'm just using the usual "you" here.
18. 炎を操る: controlling/manipulating flame, hence pyrokinetic. could be pyromancer too tbh. was going to use "flame-manipulating invader" bcs i saw a yugioh card called flame manipulator lmao, but it felt too mouthful to say.
recap under the cut! you can also watch the livestream archive on koei's youtube
so, recap! we have suzuki yuuto (katsura's va), kijima ryuuichi (date's va) as host and takahashi naozumi (va in 1-5) as special guest. i personally love having suzuki yuuto as part of the seiyuu cast/host bcs i knew he was a neoroma fan and you can tell how excited he was talking about ryuumiko. naochan is always welcomed in my book, and while this was my first time seeing/hearing about kijima, he looked like a pretty fun guy.
but anyway. let's go back to the livestream. it was 1 hour long, and this was what they talked about
- ryuumiko game intro
- new info about ryuumiko
- ryuumiko playthrough
- comment pick up corner (where they read ppl's comment abt ryuumiko on twt)
- message for the priestess (same thing as 愛のメッセージ they do during live events)
ryuumiko game intro
mc: yuikawa akari cv. seto asami
(proper intro will be in a different post)
mc is a college student. on her way to dan-no-ura, she encountered a storm where suddenly mosters started to show up. the one who saved her was taira no kiyomori. he then brought her to the dragon palace (located beneath the sea) where the dragon god was. chosen as the miko, the mc went on a journey to save the spacetime along with the hachiyous (famous heroes from history.
usually in haruka, mc got summoned to a different world. this time, both the mc and the hachiyous got summoned to the dragon palace instead. from there, they'll go on a trip together to different worlds. each world (that resembles certain era from jp history) has their own hachiyous.
- in the dragon palace, the conversations changes depending on the time & season.
- there's a main story section called "the story of the dragon palace"
- there are 3 worlds/eras that the mc & hachiyous can go to: heian, sengoku, bakumatsu.
- this is where the romance is happening. if you're not up for romance, there's also a friendship end for the character.
- the cg on the right is yoritomo's cg where he's attending to mc's wound
we currently have 6 lis:
(proper intro will be in a different post)
heian era (桜霞の世界):
- minamoto no yoritomo: ten no seiryuu, cv miura katsuyuki
- taira no kiyomori: chi no seiryuu, cv toya kikunosuke
sengoku era (燎炎の世界):
- uesugi kenshin: ten no seiryuu, cv masuyama takeaki
- date masamune: ten no suzaku, cv kijima ryuuichi
bakumatsu era (朝幕の世界):
- katsura kogorou: chi no byakko, cv. suzuki yuuto
- hijikata toshizou: chi no genbu, cv. suzuki ryouta
even though some charas have the same name as the ones in the mainline games, the ones in ryuumiko came from a DIFFERENT world. they ARE NOT THE SAME characters as the one in the mainline games. think of them as counterparts from a parallel world.
- battle system will be card battles, where you have to think about the card's element and placement in the team
- but there's also auto (for team comp & battle) & skip feature to make your life easier
- you can also use the card's skill with deadly attacks and pretty cg
- when you leave the game, the lis will do tasks and give you mats/equipments
- interactive feature! in the dragon palace, you can talk with the lis
- sometimes they'll even invite you out on a date!
- the higher your affection, the more you can do with the lis (it said より深い交流, i'll leave it up to your imagination 😂). they did mention 添い寝(sleeping together) function and 神気注入 (giving the lis spiritual powers?) through touch actions.
ryuumiko new info
this is when they introduced naochan. as you can see, that has something to do with the new info
- theyll put the mainline game charas in limited time events. the first chara is hinoe from haruka3. if you log in during the event, you'll get hinoe's sr card for free.
- to match ryuumiko's aesthetics, they're currently working on hinoe's sprite
for the ssr card of the mainline charas (i assume gacha)
- story: epilogue with the miko (in hinoe's case nozomi)
- newly recorded voice
- cg drawn by mizuno tooko
other announcements are interview with 4gamer and ryuumiko showing up in animate's girl festival (agf). the rest are pre-register campaign, haruka 5-7 merchs, and switch games sale.
ryuumiko playthrough
this is ryuumiko's main menu ft. katsura.
imo the screen setup is looking a bit too old?
on katsura's left side, from top to bottom:
- menu
- mail
- story (this is where you read past stories/stories you've read)
- notification
- tasks/work
on the right side:
- event
- charge (maybe for currency top up?)
- general store
- mission
on the bottom of the screen:
- (gold cirle) to his world
- (question mark) talk to him
- home
- dragon palace
- other worlds
- allies
- training
- summon
this is the dragon palace menu. there are li's icons on the right side, if you click it you'll go straight to where the li is.
this is katsura's interaction page. you can talk to him and gift him stuffs. after you talk to him, his affection will increase. increasing his affection will also increase his hp & atk.
.
this is other worlds menu, date's chapter. from the livestream we can see that it's fully voiced, except for mc. the buttons on the screen are:
- story
- chapter list
- setting
- (gold circle) move forward (will probably bring you to the latest chapter)
and that's it for the playthrough (& recap)! unfortunately they didn't show the battle, which is one of the thing im interested in. but it's nice to know we actually have romance routes!!!! if you're interested in the 愛のメッセージ i can add it later in a different post. next post would probably be intros?
