Leliana is not that much of a threat to Solas – she COULD have been, if she had actually been paying attention, but she wasn’t. He banked on her not paying attention, made himself seem nondescript as possible, and then deliberately avoided being anything other than 100% nondescript and 100% completely helpful to her efforts to avoid attracting her attention.

I don’t think people give Solas enough credit for how clever he is. They kind of make it seem like he just tripped along, only narrowly avoiding detection by absolutely everyone when that’s not the case.

Bull and Vivienne knew he was hiding things, but there was no way they could have ever guessed at everything, and Solas was fine with them knowing he was different – he just let them think it was because of his past, that maybe he had been involved more with the city Elves and rebellions than he let on.

He could afford to be relaxed and show a bit of his true nature precisely because no one in the Inquisition could have EVER guessed what he really was.

Except Lavellan who had acquired more knowledge of the ancient Elves, perhaps.

Its interesting to note that individually, they all had pieces to a jigsaw, they just never combined said pieces to get a more distinct picture. 

Even Cullen ffs catches onto Solas being too much ‘like them thar demons’ 

Perhaps we can blame it on the fact that too much was happening for Leliana, others or inqy to catch on enough at the time

I think it’s so poetic that in the scene where Tim is led to Mewtwo, he’s guided by a group of Bulbasaur - the very first Pokemon in the National Pokedex.
