"To me?" he asked, shocked, looking over at her quickly, “Daisy I hardly remember anything- you know that," he said softly and turned to face her fully, “If anything you’re the one suffering. I can tell, Daisy," he blurted. Well, he couldn’t take it back now. He hugged her and put her face in his shoulder, “If anything I wish that I was born first so that you didn’t have to go through what you did," he closed his eyes and wiped a tear before it fell.

"You’re so sensitive. You don’t deserve this," he muttered and started to shake with the attempt to hold back his tears, "I’m sorry." No, he couldn’t cry. Not in front of the person who supported him his whole life. It was his turn to wipe her tears.

She knows that, of course she does. He was only four, and her – seven when it happened. She was there through the funeral, she was there when the autopsy results got delivered to the Lab. She was there when her grandfather collapsed under the weight of his own heart breaking, enclosed within the flurry of concerned aides that rushed to his side, sat him down. Get the professor a glass of water! Daisy, sweetie.. I'm sorry. They said. She remembered. 

"It's alright, Green." she murmurs, the gleam of the silent tear that fell from his eyes catching her attention. "It wasn't anyone's fault.." Lifting her hands to his face, the brunette attempts to brush away the tears that had pooled behind his eyelids, understanding that he was much too proud to cry in front of anyone; not even her. And yet, sometimes all it takes was a good cry to release so much tension and pent-up guilt. 

"It's alright.. to cry sometimes, Green." she says, patting his back soothingly as their mother did before. "It's only human to let it out.. even I do it when I miss them and I feel better after.."

"I’m glad I got Bree," he said. He didn’t remember this trip to the amusement park at all. He didn’t remember the Pikachu costume or the balloon. It was all so strange to him.

He flipped to his first birthday and there was just a picture of him and his grandfather, Oak holding him and smiling while Green reached for his hair. The next picture was him tugging and Oak trying not to yell. Green laughed and there were pictures of him alone with each of them. Daisy was wiping his dirty mouth with her bare hand and he had to laugh again, “You cared so much."

His father was making a silly face at him, and Green’s arms were up in the air, excited for the game. Then there was their mother. Eyes gentle, smile soft, looking directly into the camera. Green stared for a moment and his chest tightened. He had to place his hand over his heart in an attempt to steady it, "…Why her?" he voiced.

"You cared so much,"

A small laugh escapes at her brother's words, a rush of feelings reaching her as he hovered over the pictures. She did care, taking on the role of absent parents after their untimely demise; she dressed the skinned knees, she tutored his work, she read him books, held him when he was ill, sat by him until the nightmares blew over. Nobody ever did that for her, though the appreciation she had got out of the brunet was more than enough to overwrite all the loneliness she had suffered growing up. Daisy smiles to herself while he busied himself with the other pages, carefully sweeping his hair away from his eyes and pressing a small kiss on the side of his temples. 

Oh Green, I would have done anything to allowed you the good things in life.

Daisy keeps her lips to his face, though the sudden stiffening male underneath her causes her to pull back in surprise, the question making her straighten up as well. Quickly, her eyes study the photograph that had made the question rise so painfully and quickly, and in that moment of locking eyes with the content of the album, she understood. 

Allowing her finger to roam over the page, she rested against her brother's back, the question desperate and ringing in her ears. Why her? Would it have been better if only one of them perished? Would things have been easier to cope if they had just a consolation prize? It was a bad accident, they both died on the spot – or so her grandfather had said. But what if, just what if.. they had managed to retrieve one, even if she was left in a vegetative state; would some form of closure sufficed in place of the large gaping hole in their childhood and lives now? She catches her tears, just before they dampen the pages beneath her; the arm around Green tightening into a backward hug. 

"I'm sorry, Green.." she murmured into the nape of his neck, her tears still rogue from the sudden slap of reality. "I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry that this happened to you. I'm sorry.."

Bill’s pulse took off like a race car as she began to approach her. Though, the small smile on her lips was comforting. He gave a small smile as well, wanting to stay hopeful. Or try to. When she stopped so close to him, he waited, looking at her, re-memorizing the face that was so familiar to him.

The waves were the only sound, and Bill felt as if he was playing catch with a land mine. Anytime it would blow up in his face. But at the moment, it wasn’t. he wondered how long it would stay like this. Would they be able to go back to the way things used to be at all? He hoped so….

She leaned in, and Bill froze, his cheeks burning with a deep blush as her lips caressed his cheek. He closed his eyes, savoring that fleeting sensation before it was gone.

"…Alright."

A gentle, geuine smile found his face and he nodded, moving to open the door for her to enter the little cottage. “Sorry for the untidiness." He apologized. The cottage wasn’t I shambles, but it was a tad messy. “Haven’t gotten the chance to clean today. Um…" He paused, lookingher over again before giving her a small smile and moving towards the kitchen “I’ll make the tea."

As she stepped into the cottage, Daisy was pained at the sight that somehow seemed so foreign to her even though she'd been here countless times. Jamais Vu – it should have been familiar to her, but the experience was nothing but a stranger. It was sad, really; but she kept it to herself. 

"It's alright.." She glanced around, somehow smiling that that large pokéfusion machine was still around, and the countless eggs and Eevee horde that were eating in the kitchen. He always was a sucker for rare pokémon, and breeding and raising them just so they wouldn't become endangered was a point she had noted on Bill's selflessness. Sitting in the awkward-psyduck of an apartment, and noticing the walls pinned with blueprints and boxes of bits and pieces, it wasn't difficult to remember the person she fell in love with in the first place. 

It wasn't him though, it was her. The little experiences that have pulled their carefully stitched-together steams and ripped them apart with such vicious fault it left tears in both of them. Daisy sighed as he disappeared to make the tea, of which she bet he remembered the way she liked it exactly, while it felt like she recalled nothing of him save for his work and Eevee.

Taking a provisional step and getting up from the couch, she allowed herself to hover near his small mantle; a wall pinned with numerous reminders and thank you notes from the various trainers that came through, and some others from the other PC developers like Bill and Celio and Bebe. One particular one caught her attention though, "Happy Birthday, Darling." and signed neatly at the bottom of the page in cursive, "Loving you always, Daisy." A wistful sigh escapes, her hand unintentionally outstretched toward the note, but furled and hovering just over it as though it would pain her to do so. 

She turns away now, willing herself to focus on the few unfamiliar Eevee that had come by to take a sniff at her, their furry tails swishing undecidedly on the woman's unusually off-quiet demeanor with concern. 

"I'm fine, don't worry." Daisy smiles, reaching down to pat each of the creatures on their heads. "I'll give you a massage later if you'd like to, though?"

The taller brunette watched as Daisy petted Eevee, the normal type cooing and nuzzling with appreciation. As the girl picked the Pokemon up and hugged it, the Eevee let out a “Vee!" Of happiness, licking Daisy’s cheek as she turned to face him.

Her smile comforted him, and he returned one as she repeated his greeting. Seemed she wasn’t sure of what to say either. But that was okay. That part didn’t matter yet.

"I’ve been…alright. I’ve been good."

Her answer wasn’t reassuring. Bill had a suspicion something was up. But he didn’t push it. Didn’t want to scare her away. A million thoughts raced through his mind

Why are you returning the Pokemon I gave you? Why are you lieing? Why did you never call? Why did you never visit? Why did you want to forget me?

"Good…" He managed to say through everything. He pushed all the questions to the back of his mind. She was right in front of him, and he needed to focus on that. “I’m glad t’ hear you’ve been well…" He paused, “Would you…Do you want…" He needed to calm down. Too much excitement. Too many emotions. He took a deep breath, then said, almost begged, “Please come in for a drink. Or food…or something…"

The begging in his voice was so prominent a stranger would have sensed the desperation that laced between the two. As much as her mind screamed for her to run, she had already dug her own grave when she turned around, said she was fine. Don't lie to the ones you love.

"Or.. something." 

ˆTentatively, a smile tugs at the corner of her lips as she approached the man, the pokémon in her embrace contented but eagerly peeking its head toward the expert as she neared him; her steps hesitating, unsure if she should wait for him or allow herself into the house. Still, Daisy opted to wait, the pair facing each other just a few metres away from the quaint cottage, the gentle lapping of waves against the cape a melody to their otherwise silent meet. Words were sometimes secondary, and this was one of those times – a worded apology would never suffice, months and years of fabricated lies and bias that would inadvertently surface later when someone would ask "why?"

Why did it end, why did you run? Why did you lie, why did you come? 

The brunette leans in, lips merely brushing his cheek and hovering for a moment before she pulled away; eyes dark and somehow pained and lack-luster.

Bill took a few steps towards her, but as he saw her hand go to her Pokeball he stopped. He felt like he was approaching a timid Deerling. He didn’t want to scare her off, and would let her go if that was what she wanted.

But she stayed, her hands balling into fists and he ventured a few more steps towards her. His Eevee was already ahead of him, bounding towards daisy and running around her legs, greeting the friend that had been away for so long.

The PC expert stopped with a few feet between them, close enough to comfort him, and hopefully enough for her. She watched her back, watched her shoulders rise and fall with her breaths, traced the hair that he wanted so badly to run his fingers through. To play with. To brush. He wanted to massage those shaky shoulders like he used to when she was feeling sad.

"You’ve got…"

He didn’t realize that he was holding his breath until he had to breathe. Was she going to leave? It seemed that way. What was he doing? She’d dropped the Pokemon he’d given her off. Without a word. That should have been a clear enough message…But he didn’t want to see her go again, and something told him that wasn’t what she wanted either.

"… Hello, Bill.."

His name on her lips hit him hard, and he was unable to speak for a moment. Finally, he managed. “Howdy, Daisy. How…How have you been?"

The appearance of the evolution pokémon pushed her on the brink of tears, its eyes wide with innocence and happiness in their chanced meeting. Gingerly, she allows her hand to roam over its fuzzy brown head, appreciative nuzzles in return for scratches behind the creature's ears. Fingers lace with the long-haired collar, hesitantly but eventually pulling it into a tight hug.

Oh, how innocence disappears as things age. It was still too naive to understand, too young to have been touched by the human concepts of time and space and compliances. 

She stayed close to the ground, his greeting shattering the last of her want to flee. Daisy looks up to the figure standing off-wardly, a small, but more genuine smile in return for that silly greeting he always had. "Howdy..," she parrots, getting up now with the Eevee in tow, a free hand pushing her messed-up locks behind her ears. Somehow, it felt like she was meeting him for the first time again, the same Butterfree in her tummy, the electric-shock of palpitations in her chest at the sight of the taller brunet. 

"I've been..." it's a lie, and she knows. She wants to tell him how it's been not alright, how things at the lab have been slowing down because of the professor's health. She wants to tell him how her brother has been shirking responsibility at the Gym, and she wants to tell him how indignated she felt in his absence. How in the beginning she felt like it was stupid of her to end their relationship so abruptly, and how much it healed eventually, like a scar never to be picked. A wound scabbed over and forgotten if only for the scars. 

"..alright. I've been good."

I just wanted to return Vulpix to someone who could love it to the most that she deserves. I've been selfish, I wanted to forget you.

He watched her rummage around and wondered what it was going to be. She always found the smallest things intriguing, so he wondered how much of a big deal this was actually going to be.

It turned out to be a pretty big deal. He scooted over toward their nightstand to set the tea down and not ruin the book, and gingerly ran his fingers over the lettering. Greatness and mastery. Were those words really what he would use to describe himself? Briefly thinking he was a failure, he pushed that thought aside for later when he was alone and trying to sleep, and focused on the pictures.

The first page was the day he was born. Daisy sitting her father’s lap and the Professor sitting next to him in the waiting room. Daisy didn’t seem to be too happy about being dragged somewhere she didn’t know this late at night, but their father was grinning like an idiot while the professor had just noticed the camera. The caption read ‘Waiting for baby.’ "You’re so little, look at your pigtails," he said, pointing them out. The next picture was of him, just kind of lying there, being a baby. Face scrunched and eyes closed, the caption read ‘4.5 kgs, already screaming and kicking around.’ "Nice to know I was always a bother," he said passively.

Following as her brother escaped to the nightstand, Daisy was careful to retrieve her tea that was set haphazardly on the ground, another quick sip as she snuck into the space behind the chair and watched over his shoulder. Of course she had already flipped through that album several times that day, but to see her brother see it for the first time; to have the focus solely on him, she thought it magical. 

She laughs at his teasing, her eyes glazed over as she studied the mirror of her childhood enclosed in the grayed out photograph. It's been so many years, and she was glad she grew out of the pigtails that looked so silly; though in hindsight, it was always her mother who tied her hair up that way for her, the Professor never had the time to do such frivolous things. 

"You're not a bother, Green." she comforts, setting a hand on his shoulder for a moment as she flipped to the next page, depicting a family photo outside a theme park that came to the region every few years. Within the small frame, the family stood with the giant pikachu mascot, young Green squirming in father's grasp as if trying to reach out to the giant yellow balloon while Daisy stood with her mother, one hand in the other but looking away from the camera. 

She laughs, noting how her hair was still in those silly pigtails, though messed up from the wind and rides of the day. "We were distracted kids, huh. Do you remember pika-land? Pikachu used to be your favourite, until you got Eevee a few years later, that is." she laughs, thinking of how attached he is to his Umbreon now, and subsequently, how ironic that his best friend was the one who got the Pikachu in the end.

He shook his head with a smile as she talked about them getting married and he looked down, unable to help the small blush. Getting married, wow, he can’t even hold a girlfriend for a month much less get married. She was cut off and he stood to follow her, but she said something about upstairs before hurrying off. He got his own cup and took a sip of it in its purest form, sticking his tongue out and wincing before pouring all kinds of sugar and milk in it to dilute it. Every time he had tea, he genuinely wished he enjoyed the taste, he just never could make himself like it. But, he would do anything to make Daisy happy.

He followed her upstairs, meeting her in their room like she had requested. It was always so much smaller than he remembered it.

Quickly pouring a second cup of tea into her mug, she stepped tentatively up the narrow stairs, taking heed not to upset the contents or hit her head on the low landing. Her eyes lit up at the nostalgic sight, the beds small and child-sized. Daisy takes another sip of her tea, reveling in how pure and bitter it was, and how much it invigorated her and relaxed her as well. 

Of course, most people would consider this a large attic over a secondary floor, but she really didn't care about terminology. This was where she had some of her fondest memories, and, yeah.. she supposed he deserved to remember some of the warmth she had gleamed back from discovering the treasures stashed in here from many years ago. Seating her brother down, she hands him her cup of tea (already half-empty from the constant sipping) and disappears to a small corner to retrieve a small dusty drawer compartment. Daisy pulls the cardboard storage over to where the brunette leader waited, eager like a child on christmas day to show him what she had found earlier in the morning. Photo albums from their childhood, not many, but enough to keep them going for a while. 

She smiles, gingerly pressing a leather-bound album into his hand, jerking her head ever-slightly as if asking him to open it. 

For our beloved second-child, Green Oak. Of which greatness and mastery is conceived for.

He was glad that she was at least acting cheerful. Coping. His smile faltered only slightly. She was so sensitive, she was the last person who should have to go through what she has. He often wished that he was the older one, so that he could have taken the emotional stress from her. He laughed at her assumption regarding his girlfriend, “It wasn’t, ah, anyone specific," he said and shrugged, “I just thought maybe it would be nice to settle down a little bit," the first half was a blatant lie, but it was harmless. He didn’t want to admit that anyone captivated him like that.

"Unova was a good time, though," he agreed with a nod, “I’ve also been thinking of getting you a Pokemon from there next time I go. They have some cute ones and they all remind me of you," he said with a chuckle.

His laugh was a welcome change, melodious in comparison to the stark lack of sound within the walls of the house. "Settle down?" she giggled lightly, glancing around the apartment before allowing her eyes to rest on her brother again. "You, Green Oak, infamous for breaking hearts.. and looking to settle down? You're aiming to take ownership of this place aren't you, you are aware that grandpa is using this as an incentive to get us married, aren't you?" 

The cheeky teasing quickly died down though, the wide grin dispersing into an eager smile instead. "Really? That would be lovely, Green. Thank you. Ah Green, I.." she figured her request would have to wait, hearing the whistle from the kettle pierce through their conversation like a bullet. Stepping into the kitchen once again, Daisy managed to feel significantly better now, even humming a small tune as she set the leaves into the smaller brewing pot, the hot water poured in and creating a wonderful aroma that forced her into yet another smile. 

"Tea is ready," she called out, though more-so out of habit than intention. She paused for a moment, then added on in haste, "You know what, I'll just meet you upstairs, in our old bedrooms, there's something I wanted to ask you, alright!"

"Yeah," he chuckled, “I’ve been well. Thinking about getting a girlfriend- an actual one, not just a friend with benefits," he smiled at her, knowing she would be interested in the information, then continued, “Got second in another World Tournament. It was such a close battle. Those Unova kids have me stumped." he shook his head, “Probably just dumb luck, though."

He gazed over her expression and cracked another smile for her. Her and the professor were the only family he had. He had to do what he could for them. He hated to be pessimistic, but their grandfather was getting older, and it was hard for Green to fully grasp that concept. He swallowed, pushing the thought away before he continued, “How have you been?"

She surprised at his sudden change in attitude, resisting the urge to do a double-take to check if it was the same reckless heartbreaker brother she had. "Really, Green? Must've been some girl then." she commented lightly as he continued on about the World Championships in Unova. Dumb luck? Yeah, that sounds about right for something Green would say. And that cheeky grin.. it made her feel a little warmer inside. 

"I've been.. coping." Daisy pondered, tapping at her chin lightly as if it was the most interesting question she had heard all day. Struggling to keep with her brother's somewhat-normal update, it was difficult to figure out what would be a good place to begin since their last catch-up. She inadvertently thinks of Bill, the lab, her grandfather.. but her worries don't surface – not yet at least. 

"Was Unova fun? I would have loved to go, and this girlfriend you're referring to.. was she from Unova?"

He could call. Finding an excuse for it would be easy. And he’d get to talk to her again. Just talk. That was all he needed…wasn’t it?

The stress of it all had caused her to end the relationship. He understood. He really did. But, that didn’t mean that he liked it. But he respected her. If she thought that ending their relationship was best for them, then that was it. Still, he missed her.

The day was pretty, but he didn’t feel like doing work today. Instead, he sat looking out the window at the sky and thinking. His eevee was at the back door, watching the garden. He stood, “Come on Eevee let’s go into town." He said.

Suddenly, his Eevee was scratching at the back door, calling him and desperately wanting to get out.

"Eevee?" He asked, going to the door and opening it. Eevee ran out and Bill followed much slower. Eevee stopped at the Pokeball, which Bill piched up, before darting away again, further into the garden. The Pokeball was familiar. The one of the vulpix…that…he’d…

"Daisy?" He called, seeing the figure in the distance that Eevee had made her way to. He recognized that back. Her hair had gotten longer it seemed. “Daisy. Wait." He said, going to her. He had no idea what he’d say or do, but seeing her was better than hearing her voice.

She froze, the voice that she had longed so hard to forget reaching her ears. Her steps halt, a hand grasping her Pidgeot's pokéball and ready to flee if the occasion proved for it; regardless, she had forgotten how her name had sounded in his tongue, the reminder of hundreds of fleeting kisses every time they left each other. 

Don't turn back. 

Wait, he had said. Her hands curled up into tight fists, her breaths already struggling to keep up with even pace. The brunette wants to run, ignore him, tell him he's got the wrong person, anything.. anything but to run back into the safest place on earth, the most comfortable crevice where his neck met his shoulders; the one place she needed to be at but didn't want to. 

"You've got.." she bit her tongue, he always knew when she was lying, and Grandpa always said not to deceive anyone. "Bill.." And especially not the ones you love most. Daisy resented the fact of how weak she was, how her original intention to diffuse out of his life quietly disrupted by one moment of folly, one careless move of lingering thought. 

"... Hello, Bill.."

He stared up at the sky and thought, as he always did, of how his sister must have felt. She was older and able to remember so much more than him. She had so much more time with them than he did. She was in much more pain than him. He remembered hardly anything about them- sure a few memories surfaced when he thought hard enough, but really, what are memories?

She offered to make him tea and the smallest smile tugged on his lips. Always with her tea. He looked over at her and nodded, “That sounds good," he said quietly, letting her continue. When she was finished, he stood and followed her inside.

She smiles, patting the plowed ground one last time as she bade her goodbye to the earth. It took her a while to brush off the dirt that lined the bottom of her apron, the rubber gloves smacking against each other as she pried them off her slightly sweaty-palms. In her experience, she knows her brother wasn't a huge fan of tea, but agreed to her whims whenever she asked for it; he was faithful that way, she thought, looping her hands through his as if she was the high queen of Unova, tired steps as they entered the apartment block. 

Just entering it had already sent a floodgate of emotions, the faint shadow of their childhood seemingly to run around the scene like deja vu and Daisy shakes her head of the reflection of the past; the dirty shovels placed neatly back in the storeroom. It's empty, she noted to herself, just like it has been for many years; just a simple dining table, a sofa.. two beds upstairs that had belonged to them as children. A wistful sigh escapes as she retrieves teacups from the pantry dresser, the clinging of the kettle and the 'click' from the gas stove boiling water. 

Gingerly, she wanders the house for her sibling, and when she catches him, the same questions always rolls off her lips until she's sure he's defaulted them by now. 

"How have you been, Green? Good? Been eating well, I hope?"

It was a hot day, Green remembered. He remembered coming inside, sweat dripping from the line of his thick hair, and he was grinning. They were staying at their grandfather’s house while their parents were away. But when he came inside, Daisy was crying. He distinctly remembered thinking ‘did she scrape her knee?’

It was weird, detailed things about the day that Green vividly remembered. His grandfather struggling to tell him that his parents wouldn’t be coming home. Then it was the funeral, and then Green never saw them again.

He came up to the house every year. And every year she was already there. He came to sit next to her, watching her diligently work on her gardening, "… Hey," he said finally and looked over at her. It was weird, how they hadn’t seen each other in so long, and it was their parents’ death that brought them together again.

She doesn't look up, her gloved hands stained with muddy soil. The ground is usually hard and dry in the afternoon sun, but she watered them the whole morning to get them soft and loamy; somehow Daisy figures a part of the dampness is from her tears, but she pays it no mind. 

"Green." she assures, stopping her digging for just a moment to acknowledge the brunette male's presence before continuing once again. "Away from work today?" It's almost like a ritual, she knows the answers, and how he would always shirk responsibility from the League as much as he could and come home and fuss over newest technology instead of paperwork. And she knew how they would spend the remainder of the day in mostly silence, and sometimes she would sit in the empty apartment and cry, or she would stare listlessly out the window at the manifestation of her sadness while her brother carried on in his unusually quiet demeanor.

Goodbye was always the hardest – she knew that very well. The Ninetails squirmed in her grasp, unwilling to re-enter her pokéball because she knew what was coming. Daisy knew as well, the empty holster in one hand as she tried to coax the fire-type out from underneath the couch, her patience wearing thin and desperate at how quickly she wanted to remove the creature from her sight. 

"We're going to see Bill, okay?" 

At the mention of the familiar name, the pokémon let out a jubilant yelp and leapt into her trainer's hands, sloppy tongue demonstrating how excited it was to meet the man once again; the other she had considered to be family, friend, master's other half.. The brunette allowed a wan smile as a flash of red enveloped the creature, a small kiss planted atop the loved-out pokéball in her custody. 

It doesn't take long to reach the familiar apartment, and somehow she wonders if the decision to put their relationship on hold was a good one. With a flying pokémon, it would take an half, or at an hour to reach each other's houses, but in-between work and life and juggling expectations and over-time and failed research on both sides, the end was imminent. With the pokéball still in her hand, she lays one final peck on the red-and-white exterior before gingerly placing it within the tiny fenced-up compound (also known as Bill's garden). 

Daisy lingers for a moment, the urge to turn-back to retrieve her abandoned companion suddenly becoming so overbearing she has to stop to take a breather. Don't turn back, she tells herself, lest you turn into a pillar in your own moment of weakness.

"I'm going to Celadon to buy some tea." 

It's an empty lie, and she figures everyone knows it. It's been so many years since her parents' death, and faithfully the brunette returns to her childhood home on its anniversaries, potted flowers and spade in tow to the door place they had once been happy and complete.

People rarely spoke of that incident, dropping to hushed tones whenever she passed by the neat row of houses in the city. It wasn't a big town, and they never sold the house, figuring that if Green or her ever got married they could take it. Sometimes she admits it's a good thing that it's still technically their place, and no one questions why some girl always has a potful of daisies and toiling in that otherwise empty apartment. The meticulously even grass, trimmed hedges, and rolling fields of flowers. It was her own way of coping, her own way of keeping some form of memory alive. 

She was simply, in a way, pushing daisies.

There isn’t really much to know about Daisy. Being affiliated to the Okido household has its perks — her brother, Green and grandfather both being prominent figues in the Pokemon World. 

As a child, Daisy spend much time in her grandfather’s lab after her parents’ untimely demise. As such, the Professor took both the Okido children in to Pallet from their home in Celadon, raising them and trying his best to balance work and family life (but failing) This resulted in some bitter feelings between her brother and the Professor, however, Daisy has never blamed the man for anything. Because of her past, she is matured beyond her years and is also the homemaker in the household. 

Up to her teenage years, Daisy has aspired to be a Pokemon Co-ordinator, winning numerous awards for herself as a Spring Festival Competitor. However, due to her brother’s refusal to take over the research lab, Daisy gave up on her career and decided to leave the travelling life of a Co-ord to stay in Kanto and take care of the aging Professor’s health. 

She runs a Pokemon Massage in her house as a part-time job.

Gentle: It is said that Daisy has the ability to soothe the angriest Pokemon due to her easy-going aura. She is very calm and collected, never raising her voice for anything. Daisy is a pacifist, never resorting to battles or violence to solve problems, which is the opposite of her brother, Green. 

Rational: Although Daisy can be rather emotional, she usually puts on a cool-front when confronted with problems and will usually take time to sit down and contemplate the issue before taking any action. If an agreement cannot be made, she is likely to give-in.

Humble: Despite being well-known (and largely wealthy), Daisy remains humble and modest, not boasting of the fame that her household has created for themselves. She doesn’t dress in designer labels, but prefers sensible clothing and simple accessories over the lavish goods. The only thing she spends on is tea. 

Manic Reclusive: Due to traumatic pasts and the imminent feeling of being caged-up by her circumstances, Daisy has become some sort of manic reclusive, preferring to be mostly by herself. She can't help but feel people pity her, or to have too much expectation pinned on her. "You're so perfect, your grandfather must be so proud." It's always expected perfection, and it's getting hard to keep up sometimes. 

Neurotic Perfectionist: As such, Daisy can be a little bit of a perfectionist, never settling for second best if perfection can be managed. This, in turn has created a rather neurotic woman, whose house is always neat and tidy. Daisy believes in routine, though it doesn’t need to be that way. Her controlling tendencies only appear around her brother and grandfather. Daisy would rather try things herself than to ask for help.

Team:

 Chansey: Her first Pokemon that is also her Pokemon Contest Partner. Chansey helps out around the house and also co-runs the massage parlour. It is her closest confidant and friend, often using its softboiled eggs to cheer Daisy up.

 Vulpix: (From Bill) A young Pokemon that Daisy has been given as an egg to hatch. It is still a pup, preferring to play than battle — usually attention-seeking and somewhat curious. Grown up to be a Ninetails.

 Pidgeot: Borrowed from her grandfather and is her main transport across regions. A very matured Pokemon that was a Pidgey alongside the siblings during their childhood. Fiercely protective of Daisy.
