The noise that escaped Green's mouth was almost primal, and his hand balled into a first. Arabella, the Ace Trainer closest to Barry, breathed uneasily for a moment before letting out a fair warning, "Uh, kid, you might wanna, you know, shut up."
Green let out the breath he was holding and looked back at the kid, "I'm surprised you're literate," he mocked, "I didn't know Sinnoh was capable of producing such an intelligent young man."
The twin Ace Trainers looked at each other. Oh no, Green was getting mean. He narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms, "I know what you're playing at, kid. I am a grown ass man and will not fall prey to your instigating. Your claims of strength mean nothing to me until you have Kanto's badges, I don't know how to make it any clearer. And, kid, your Pokemon being from Sinnoh is the last thing you should be proud of."
Green was proud of where he was from, that much was obvious, "Recounting my past losses proves nothing. I'm a gym leader now. A gym leader that requires the boulder, cascade, thunder, rainbow, soul, marsh, and volcano badges in order to battle."
