“Yeah…that’s what I thought,” Nathan joked in return, raising a brow though as he watched the feline, he was positive that he was rather harmless right now and couldn’t help but chuckle along at the way he seemed completely unfazed. “I can imagine. It’s gotta be tedious staying in with all that fur while everyone else is enjoying their time outside,” he added, smiling faintly when he got to pet the cat for a moment though he remained alert enough to pull back just in case. “Honestly? I just never really thought about it but I never really had the chance either. My parents never wanted an animal in the house when I was a kid and when I moved out, I didn’t think about it too much but maybe that’s because I don’t know it any other way,” he pondered, now scratching behind the cat’s ear. “How long have you had him?”
Dakota nodded. “My mom’s allergic to like, basically anything that walks on four legs. Kinda sucked, but this little guy is making up for all that lost time.” She watched the man as he knelt down to give the small animal attention. Mowgli leaned into it willingly, arching his spine and letting out a noise of satisfaction. “Not too long, he’s still technically a baby.” She gestured down, “If you’ve got the time now, you should totally look into adopting a cat. They’re super easy."
