Full Moon
A few nights ago we went snowmobiling up Brohm Ridge in Squamish during the full moon to try to get some sweet photos. Unfortunately, the clouds came in a little bit and it wasn’t as good as we were hoping, but I still managed to get a few cool shots. In the distance, you can see a few towns on Vancouver Island and the lights from Vancouver itself reflecting in the clouds.

We woke up to some colder temps this morning, frost on the ground and a bit of snow in the air. I like seeing snow in the forest on the ferns, and sticking to the rock on The Chief. We are supposed to get some more snow this week (hopefully).

The clouds broke
I went for a walk yesterday and the clouds broke unexpectedly, and I finally found an unobstructed view of the Howe Sound! Obviously i wasn’t the first person there as there was a bench, and ropes to help climb up the rocks, but it was a first for me haha.

Squamish Waterfront
Just walking around on the waterfront with Roger the other day. This whole area will be changed pretty soon, with a big development coming in with condos and shops and parks and who knows what else. I guess they are changing the name from Nexen Beach to Newport Beach! I thought I’d try to preserve a bit of ‘real’ Squamish before it is gone.

The Festival was a little different this year, as Monster scaled back a bit to see what the organizers would do without their money. Apparently they didn’t do much! Stoneham, QC Boarderstyle
The second stop of the Boarderstyle tour was this weekend in Stoneham, QC. The weather was looking pretty gloomy until the finals were underway and the sun came out. It was a shock going from shorts and t-shirt weather in Squamish to -6 in Quebec, but at least there was still snow! Charles Reid won again, now he just has to win the 3rd stop in Whistler next week and he gets $10,000!

I wasn’t expecting this month to be very busy, but I ended up shooting lots! After Deep Winter, I had a park shoot on Blackcomb, a snowmobile shoot in Clearwater, BC, and a road trip to Nelson, BC for a week. All in all a good month :)
