“Marcille, look. I found a thistle. Have it.” he held out a thistle, accidentally pricking himself with it several times.

“Why?” He did not seem to have noticed that he had pricked himself, despite the fact that he was already absently picking at the little cuts.

"You hurt yourself, look," Marcille reached out to gently grab onto his wrist, with her free hand so she could look over the little cuts he gained from the plant, "You should be a little more careful when you're out picking plants." She said, already getting started with healing up the cuts, "They can get infected, and i dont want you getting sick anytime soon."

He allowed her to take his wrist, hand limp as he stared down at the little cuts on his palms, watching as they began to seal up with her magic.

“…Oh. I don’t need to healing. I don’t mind getting sick, so it doesn’t matter.” he paused, “I found lots of thistles. I put them in my pockets.” as if on cue, a thistle head fell out of Thistle’s pocket of thistles.

"I mind you getting sick though, i worry about your health." Marcille points out as she looked over his hand before turning her attention to his other hand to look for anymore little wounds, "Sounds like you had fun exploring though."

"Where did you find them?" She asked, looking right towards his pocket, "I can come with you next time you want to go find some more of these." It wouldn't hurt to get some fresh air too.

“Why do you care? I killed you.” he stated bluntly, before abruptly pulling his half-healed hand away and walking off as though he’d had enough of her—before he suddenly stopped, turning to stare at her blankly.

He stumbled away again, slowly leading her to a patch of thistles. He peered down at them. Crouching, he pulled the remaining thistles from his pockets and dumped them on top of the cluster, angering two bees.

Marcille began to think for a moment before giving a small shrug, "Do i need a reason?" She asked before he yanked his arm away from her. At least he's got enough strength to yank his arm from her, and that he's walking around. But she was getting ready to head back to the library when he turned to stare at her.

Okay, time for another adventure.

"...Oh wow there's a bunch here." Marcille said, following him to the patch of thistles he'd found. Crouching on the ground with him as he added to the cluster... And of course he upset a couple of bees, "hey- we should go before either of us get stung." She said as she reached to start tugginf him away.

"But if they dont have anything, i believe i can look into if there are any spells that can be of use!"

He was nice enough to give her the extras, so she will be giving this a try!! It'd be rude to turn down something that someone gave her :3.

If i have to be honest — i never knew such thing can be possible, but i don't really have the desire to question it.

But she kept that thought to herself, he did make it for her, and others, to try. Soon locating a conveniently placed fork so she could dig in.

And yet she chewed, blankly staring at nothing in particular as it sank in what she was eating. Gripping the fork far too tightly as she shoved another forkful of the stuff into her mouth. Too sweet?? And pepperminty??? And-.... Banana-y??? Not to mention the texture of that, elf cake, noodles and vanilla pudding. But she had no urge to protest right now, only bringing herself to eat it.

It did not occur to Thistle that having a dragon search for Delgal had very much destabilised the ecosystem. Once upon a time, he’d have laughed at the thought of doing something as stupid as having a dragon on the wrong level, but his skills had slipped with his sanity.
