Seth had always preferred the sun and the way the little clumps of dust teasingly twirled around in the sunbeams as they made their way to the ground. But after his first appeal to dark magic to try and bring his mother back to life, Seth had found himself more and more drawn to the darkness and the sense of abandonment it cast over Mystic Falls. The gloominess easily exposing the bright colors of the magic that was being thrown around.

“Are you fucking stupid?” Seth snarled, his hair flying in all directions after the young warlocks’ - who had very stupidly just declined his offer to join his and Raymond’s ‘pack of dark warlocks’ in the making - spell hit him straight in the stomach. Seth hadn’t been acquainted with the spell warlock had just thrown in his direction, nor did he know how to block it. But where Seth lacked experience, the dark magic made up with power. Its vigour quickly coursing through his veins as Seth conjured up his own little ball of energy, his free hand gripping at the other male’s throat and pushing him against the wall. 

“Give me one reason not to kill you right now.” Seth hissed, pushing the ball of energy a little closer to the warlock’s body, the flares licking dangerously at the fabric of his very expensive looking sweater.

Damara was one to go with the flow and not rush into things - but when she felt the dark magic, she rushed to its source. She was nervous, though not scared. She knew the limits to her power, which was why she would always fight smart, not strong. She learned countless runes before she even learned to ride a bike; more spells than stories; three languages to cast with; knew how to perform more rituals than she knew children's games. From her experience, you could either tip the scale of being powerful or knowledgeable; but if you wanted both, there would always be stronger and smarter.

For he Leventis witch, personally, she easily chose knowledge. As far as magic, went, elemental control was her forte, able to call them forth without a casting circle or incantation - of course, using either or both of those things would increase the power exponentially, but in the midst of battle, it was hard to cast a circle. It was followed by healing. Finding Seth with a ball of energy in hand, her jaw clenched - fists in balls to her sides as she stood there. "Enough!" It was as if her voice carried the gust of wind that crashed into Seth with the force of a giant fist. “What reason could you possibly have to harm this warlock?”

White candles, in the formation of a pentagram, had been placed thoughtfully, glowing brightly. A full moon meant opportunity to heal, and for Bonnie, she felt like she needed something. Standing at the top point of the pentagram, emerald eyes fell closed as she began to chant softly. She was at Steven’s Quarry alone tonight. There had been selfish intent behind her reasoning for coming here, but she spent all of her time taking care of the people around her that she didn’t feel any blame or shame in being here as she cast a circle. A full moon meant that werewolves that had triggered their curse would transform tonight, too. At the thought, the candles’ flames danced wildly, and as Bonnie regained focus on the task at hand, they became steady again. Stepping into the center of the pentagram, smudge stick in hand, she turned towards each corner–North, East, South and West–to call on the guidance from past Bennett witches. The smell of sage and smoke clung heavily in the air, and when she was finished, she walked over to stand at the top of the pentagram again as she bowed her head with one thought in her mind and in her heart–Grams.

Damara was never afraid of being out durng full moons, as she knew her magic was more than enough to protect herself. To top the full moon off, however, there was a fire - just like the flood a couple months ago. The dark coven couldn't get into the falls, but someone had to be behind it. Setting out into the evening, she had a random thought to check a few places out in the woods for Bonnie. It had been a while since they had spoken, and the town could use a powerful witch at the moment. Although magic didn't seem to work on the flames, they could focus on helping people. The older witch wasn't shocked to find her friend out here, or to see what she was doing. She knew better than to interrupt the ritual, however, so quietly, she sat on a fallen tree and watched.

The look Damara’s face had her brow furrowing, looking down at their joined hands with confusion, wondering just why she was looking like that. Her questions were answered a moment later, and Lydia found herself letting out a little breath. ‘’Apparently we’re in short supply.’’ She spoke dryly, though in all honesty, she could be working next to a banshee and she probably wouldn’t know how to spot it. Vampires and werewolves had easier tells, they were easier to identify, but she didn’t have the powers that the witch in front of her had and she was almost envious. It was almost frustrating that she dipped down to see the baby in the stroller, but she knew she wasn’t in any position to hurry her along. ‘’That’s Riley.’’ Leaning down to see her son, she gave him a smile, heart always warming to see his gummy little grin as he babbled to himself. ‘’Say hello, buddy.’’ 

Straightening up, she looked around a little more, pleasantly surprised to see how nice the shop was. She’d almost expected to see odd little ingredients, like animal ears or teeth, occupying jars on the walls, but those expectations came from bad movies. ‘’I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but uh… this is very homely. I like it.’’ Lydia gave a small, sincere smile, a hand running over one of the tables and touching at one of the objects before turning her attention to Damara. It made her eyes widen a little to hear that the witch might be able to help, and she nodded almost immediately, gesturing for Damara to lead her through. ‘’Lead the way.’

"I'm not sure if it's short supply, or your kind is merely secretive. I'm sure you've enough to deal with, without getting mixed up with a bunch of other supernaturals." The witch smiled when the child was introduced and she gave him a small wave. "Hello, Riley. Aren't you just a handsome man." Damara made her way over to the front counter, which had shelves lined with large, glass, containers. Procurring a smaller container, she filled it with two different types of herbs and made sure it was well mixed. She made her way behind the counter, and went through a binder, pulling out a specific dose card for infants. "Here." Smiling, and still in no rush, Damara handed the glass container that held about a cup of mixed herbs in it, to the red head. "It's chamomile and rosehip. That card will tell you how to prepare it and the dose to use - little Riley looks about the age that he could start teething soon. That will help."

Despite being use to the compliments that all used the same few words, she was always grateful when she received one. "Thank-you, Lydia. I do have a lot of pride in this place." Leading the way into the back, she put a kettle on the small stove back there, preparing a finished wooden tray for tea. "Have you ever noticed that you're not bound by mountain ash?" The witch motioned for Lydia to have a seat on one of the couches, and placed the tray on the coffee table to await the water. "Banshee's are more of.. a window to the supernatural, than a door, I suppose. Why don't you tell me what you already know about banshee's, and I can fill in what I know. What I don't, I have access to find out. Does that sound like a plan?"

Damara Leventis was born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine. The line of Leventis witches dates back further than any of the family can truly remember. All that is known for sure was that the family has their roots somewhere in Greece and for generations - as tradition - they always kept their last name. Along with the last name, their first name given was also of Greek origins. It became this way so that every generation would remember where they came from. Damara’s family was very different from a lot of families or even covens out there. Following her family tree, there were times when a member of her family was an Alpha and times when her family didn’t lead the coven. This was due to a very odd tradition they upheld: at the age of eighteen, every child born as a Leventis was to leave their coven and explore the world as an Omega. They were to find themselves, their true values and possibly even another coven. To gain knowledge from a growing source and pass it on to the generation that follows. Knowledge was always power. As Damara grew up, she knew she was lucky to not have a heavy weight of following in the footsteps of her parents to become what was expected of her; because what was expected of her was to always find her own way and to pass the knowledge forth onto her own children and those she met.

On her eighteenth birthday, Damara was both excited and nervous to head out from her birth coven - though she was lucky, as her birth coven happened to be one with strong ties to her family, dating back generations. For the next five years, she would learn what she could from other witches and own experiences. In five years time, she would either return to her birth coven and swear loyalty, or continue paving her own path. Damara never had ambitions to be an Alpha, though she did have them for helping other witches. At the age of twenty six, she heard of a Bennett witch in Mystic Falls and decided to settle down there for a time. Despite Bonnie’s young age, Damara felt that she could learn a lot from a Bennett witch and even the town of Mystic Falls itself. It didn’t take her long to fall in love with the place and decide to stay - so she opened up a magic shop called The Magic Box, hoping to be able to help witches of every status and share her knowledge on the craft. Recently, Bonnie had earned herself an Alpha status and Damara has seriously been considering giving up her chosen life as an Omega to be part of her coven, specifically. However, as a Leventis, joining a coven is a life term commitment and it’s unthinkable to leave one. Needless to say, Damara is curious as to what kind of Alpha Bonnie will be and if she’ll be a worthy Alpha to follow for the rest of her life.

Bonnie Bennett

Bonnie was only twenty when Damara came to Mystic Falls looking for her. Damara introduced herself right away after finding the Bennett witch, and was patient in gaining her trust. Throughout the years, Damara has played somewhat of a guidance role to the younger witch if it was ever needed; mostly, she was just a close friend.

Emma Hargrove

Emma had come to Damara about working at the magic shop and though the girl had no experience, Damara was convinced to hire her and she hasn’t regretted it. She’s decided to personally take Emma under her wing to teach her all she knows of magic - particularly her strength in healing. She has a feeling Emma will take to it well and has the motivation and passion to learn about that kind of magic.

Sadie Ainsworth

Damara is very much aware of the dark magic that Sadie practices, but still opened up her shop, home and a listening ear to the girl if it was ever wanted. She has seen her share of dark magic through travels and heard about it through the experience of her own family’s history. She fully believes that Sadie is just lost and just needs someone who won’t judge her for her choices, in order to get back on the right track.

Alexia Branson

Since Lexi is still lacking a daylight ring, getting closer to Damara might come in handy since the woman is a witch. For centuries, Lexi had to go through life without a daylight ring and she still has to stick to the shadows now, but Damara spelling a daylight ring for her could change all of that. The question just is, is the witch willing to help her with that?

Raymond Thurman

Damara instantly knows that Raymond is only the bad parts of a warlock and she wants to do whatever she can to stop and also save him. She feels it’s her duty to make sure the young warlock makes it through this alive rather than letting the dark magic he’s using consume him. She’ll take him down if she has to, but Ray isn’t one to back down from a fight and he’s not about to let Damara set any rules for him.

Seth Adler

The fact that there’s a dark warlock roaming around town’s definitely not lost on Damara. But is Seth planning on letting her stop him? No. There’s no way. He’s had a taste of dark magic now and he’s not giving that up for anyone - not even a fellow witch. But is Damara planning on letting him destroy the town she now calls him? No. There’s no way. Looks like these two will go head to head, so who will come out the winner here?

The sound of the wind chime was almost cheerful, a juxtaposition to the nerves she felt and she could only hope she didn’t get hexed or spelled or whatever it was a witch could to do her. She’d admit; she wasn’t entirely sure the extent of their power, just as she wasn’t sure of her own. It was endlessly frustrating, especially for a woman who prided herself on her smarts and intelligence. She could spend hours talking about hox genes or bacterial resistance, but she was at a loss when it came to herself. That had to change. For Riley’s sake, if nothing else. There was no doubt he would inherit his fathers werewolf powers, but on the off chance he had inherited some of her power, she wanted to be able to help. 

Riley babbled to himself in the stroller as the woman introduced herself, and she forced a smile, reaching out to shake her hand. If she’d of been able to get a babysitter, she would have come alone but alas, as a mother to a young baby, she tended to be a package deal. ‘’I’m Lydia. Lydia Martin. I uh… I’m looking for information, more than anything. I’m not a witch. I’m a banshee. And I’m rather bad at it if past events are any indication.’’ She pulled a face at the thought, hating the guilt that wrapped around her heart whenever she considered her shortcomings. It wasn’t as if she was werewolf, with so much history behind her, her powers were new. ‘’I guess I was hoping you might have a book of some kind. Or a guide. ‘Banshees for Dummies’ would be really helpful right about now.’’

Damara's face fell into shock when she took hold of Lydia's hand - it was something she had never felt before. Even if she had been a werepanther, the witch could of figured it out. But this feeling was something new; something extraordinary to the witch. Without realizing it, she held on to the woman's hand a little longer than normal, finally realising it when the mother spoke up. "If I believed in a diety, I would curse their name at the moment." Thee brunette was in awe of this woman; rather, her species. "Forgive me, I've just never had the blessing of meeting a banshee before." Chuckling softly, she crouched by the stroller and made a playful face at the little one. "And who is this very handsome boy?" The witch had a way of doing things - if she were in the story about the tortoise and the hare, she would be the hare.

Looking up at the red head, she smiled. "Not every 'magic shop' you go in, will be run by a witch. This place is something even humans enjoy." Her shop was very 'homey' with wooden shelves and a neutral colour of wood walls. Organic and authentic were words she heard often. Standing back up, she tucked a piece of stray hair behind her ear. "If a witch greets you, they will know you're supernatural by the touch of your hand. Luckily for you, I'm a witch that can definitely help. Would you care to step into the lounge room in back with me?"It was behind the counter and down the hall - it was a mix between the homey feel out front and a modern twist. She spent most of her days, every day here - and her employees were here long hours, as well, at times. So it had been important to Damara to be able to have a place to relax or get something to eat.

Sucking in a breath, Lydia swallowed her nerves and pushed open the door to The Magic Box. She’d debated for weeks about going in, about whether it was even worth bothering to do so. It was for witches, not banshees, she knew, but she felt desperate and it seemed a logical place to turn. It wasn’t as if she could go to the local library and take out a book on wailing women, could she? The kind of help she needed didn’t seem to exist in conventional stores, and even the internet didn’t give much help than the basic folklore and mythology. There were no instruction guides or manuals that could help her harness her power, and she felt utterly useless. She hadn’t been able to help Elena, she hadn’t been able to help Vicki and for all the smarts she had, she feared she wouldn’t be able to protect her child if anything ever happened. That fuelled her fire, and she moved further into the shop, pushing Riley in his stroller.

Damara was sitting behind the counter, half petting the black cat that lay beside what she was writing in, and half writing her encounter with the fear demon in the book. When the wind chimes went, signalling a customer, the witch looked up and smiled brightly at a woman she hadn't seen before. "Good morning to you both." She stood and made her way onto the main floor of the shop, waving down at the little boy in the stroller before holding out her hand to the mother. "I'm Damara - owner of The Magic Box. What can I do for you?" Always - any time there was a new customer, she always shook their hand. It helped her clarify between the humans and the supernatural.

If only she could drown out the sound, block everything so that she didn’t have to feel so broken. “You really think he’s gonna promise you that? Don’t be stupid.” she heard that voice again, not knowing if that one was telling the truth or if it was the other Nate. It was so damn confusing and it only angered Malia because she didn’t know how to make it stop and go away. Things were so overwhelming that the hybrid didn’t even notice that Nate - the other Nate, had now moved them to the clock tower and when she finally did pick up on her surroundings, Malia wondered if this was the real Nate. The real one would know about this spot, right? He’d know that this was their little sanctuary? And the other one surely wouldn’t? Unknowingly, the brunette was clutching his shirt with her hand, holding a fistful of fabric, which she hadn’t even noticed. As his voice filled the room, her head leaned back, casting a glance up towards him and it didn’t take long for her to realize that it was gone. The other Nate wasn’t here, she was alone with this one now. Maybe that was because they were somewhere else and the other one hadn’t followed, but she was still scared that this wasn’t real and that she was imagining the whole thing. “Are you real?”

Nathan smiled as he sung to her, one of his hands gently placing itself over the smaller one that clutched his shirt. When asked the question, however, he was surprised - why woulnd't he be real? But then it all fell in place, because whatever that beast had done, it probably made some fake version of him. That only made him angrier, knowing Malia saw something horrible in him because of that thing. Instead of answering with words, however, he leaned forwad and kissed her lips; soft and sweet.

"One day, you're going to have a ring on your finger that will reassure all your doubts every time you look down. But until then, I'll remind you how real I am.. and how much I love you, 'Lia." He kissed her again, thumb caressing over her ring finger - and then he smiled. "Even when you- even then, I'll remind you. Assure you that I'll always come back for you. You're my heart, remember?"

           she lifts up her head at the sound of another voice,  davina taking a moment to realize that  –  NO  !!  she indeed was not the only person in the library.  she pushes the waves of hair away from her voice,  wary of who was coming up,  but there still a friendly look on her face.

            “   even if so  –  i’d still like to experience one for myself,  yanno  ??  so i can make up my mind on my own opinion,   ”   she starts,  leaning back against the back of her chair.    “   i’m  …  tracing back the  STORIES  of my ancestry while books still exist,  and before everything is on the internet,   ”   davina continues,  there only a slight hesitance in her voice.  blue eyes flicker to the other’s brown;  she  can  hold her ground.    “   i’m curious to see if history is  …  repeating  itself.   ”

"That's fair enough - a lot of what someone learns happens to be though experience that they, themselves, go through." The witch did smile at the others' explanation, eyes examining the books before the other once more. "I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for, then - after all, what is a library, if not filled with stories written by humans?" The witch normally had more tact, but considering what was going on outside the library, she pushed a little. Standing up, she walked over to the side of the table the young woman sat at and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, confirming an assumption she had.

"There are those in this town that have fallen victim to darkness, my dear. Not that you warranted my advice, but if I were you, I would keep those grimoires out of public sight - lest they be taken from under your nose." Offering a friendly smile, she sat in a chair beside the other and held out he hand. "I'm Damara - I own The Magic Box here in town. You won't find anything worth learning or studying here in this library; most libraries, actually. Let me walk you home?"

Caroline felt like her head would explode at that point. Another demon? But this one hadn’t possessed anyone that she knew, right? Because the last time there was a demon in town, it had possessed Nathan and that hadn’t been pretty, so the blonde definitely didn’t want that to happen again. “Is it anyone we know?” she had to ask that. If Damara had seen the demon, surely she also knew if it was a familiar face or not? The vampire was just hoping that it wasn’t someone she cared about. Though when the witch offered her wrist for Caroline to feed from, she was a bit surprised. Taken aback, even. “I can’t. You know I can’t.” Caroline took a step back for Damara’s own safety, afraid that if she did go there, if she did have a taste of human blood, she’d lose control for real. She might not be able to stop and that wasn’t a risk that Caroline wanted to take. “If I drink from you or from anyone else that’s human… there’s no going back.”

There was shock on Damara's face that quickly turned into realization. "You've never had human blood before.." That was certainly a lot to wrap her head around, as she had never met a vampire like that before. The witch withdrew her wrist and put he sweater back on, respecting Caroline's wishes. "You have my word that if I see you lose control out there, I'll stop you. If that puts you at ease any." The witch wasn't sure if that's what Caoline even wanted to hear, but she would be true to her word. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry for putting you in that position. And for making the assumption you consumed human blood."

               BLUEBELLE EYES FLUTTER OPEN AS SHE’S AWOKEN  from a long night in the library.  in front of her are piles of books,  scattered open to mythology  –  along with her family grimoires that’d she taken under her arms,  the night she was abandoned   (  davina  HAD  to take some of her history and family knowledge with her,  even if she was given up   ).   it’d been a long couple nights,  searching for  ANY  sort of creature that would have this sort of effect on mortals and  …  other plausible creatures alike.  a groan escapes her pink petals,  she putting her forehead to the table and shaking her head.    “   i’m literally only  EIGHTEEN  and i’m already overworked.  what happened to college being fun,  flirty,  and a lot of parties  ??   ”   and wooh,  it was a good thing marcel wasn’t here  !!  she has a feeling he’d be giving her his  BEST  judgemental look at the latter comment. 

Damara hadn't been at the library for research - she had been there to send anyone still there home. It wasn't anywhere near safe for those to be out and about at the moment. It wasn't anything too new in this town, but some people had rose coloured glasses. She wasn't judging those, but she did want to urge them to be home.

"College parties are overrated if you ask me, Sweetheart." Damara chuckled slightly at the young girl who had complained. Her eyes then darted over some of the books laid out before her, and it took her interest. "That's a lot of heavy reading you have in front of you. Why this choice material, if I may ask?" The older witch took a seat across from the girl, wondering if she was in over he head, or if she may of been a witch, herself.

The last thing that Caroline wanted to do right now was to let her blood lust control her and give into it. These people needed help, not another thing that would harm them. She had to fight her way through her urges and desires and focus on keeping the people in Mystic Falls safe. And now that Damara was here, she felt a little bit better. She felt like they could help more people together and if they’d stumble across the thing that was causing mayhem and chaos, they had each other and they could fight together. “Do you know what’s going on? I see people running and screaming, but I don’t know what they’re running from.”

"Who." Damara spoke as she continued to look around, before looking back at the vampire. "Technically, yes, a what - but not a beast, exactly. He's a demon. As for what kind of demon, I could name you at least a dozen possible suspects; and that's just off the top of my head. All with different weaknesses and abilities. Until I hear about what it is he can do, I'm not much help on that front." Calmly, the witch took her bag off her shoulder, then removed her sweater, before holding her wrist out towards the other woman. "It can't be easy helping humans with beating hearts, especially if they're bleeding, themselves. If it will help you in any way, please - I trust you not to take too much."

Caroline had no idea what was going on, but something was definitely up. There was just something in the air that the blonde couldn’t put her finger to, but this weird feeling needed to go away. The only way to do that was to go out there to see what was different. It was no longer uncommon for things to happen in Mystic Falls, but Caroline didn’t think she’d ever grown used to it. Making her way out of her clothing store, the blonde could see a group of people running right by her, prompting her to turn around to look after them with flustered eyes. 

“What the hell is happening?”

Caroline was one of the first people Damara wanted to find - along with Malia - because she noticed their habits of rushing in to help fight off whatever was terrorizing the town. "That's a very good question." Damara spoke out, offering a friendly smile to Caroline, even if it didn't last. "I'm glad I found you, though. I've noticed first hand how your heart tends to get you out helping people in times of need." Perhaps she should of found Malia first, seeing as how the other woman was more prone to fight what the demons, opposed to Caroline helping the others from the demon. "I came to offer you my help in any way I can. I've come packing medicinal herbs, though just now remembering your blood probably does more good than they do."

Seth couldn’t help the smirk that started pulling around the corners of his lips. He had seen the brunette before - Damara - she was the owner of the Magic Box and she seemed to be coming right at him. He wondered if she had heard about him yet.

“No, please, go ahead. Take a seat.” Seth said, smiling as he gestured at the chair in front of him.

"Did you know that fifty-five percent of all communication is perceived through body language?" Damara asked with a friendly smile as she took a seat. "That smirk of yours is very telling, Seth." The witch had put up a barrier spell, but in order to cast out the dark coven, there had to be sacrifices - she couldn' cast out all dark magic and upset the balance of things. The compromise was keeping a few dark witches inside the barrier. Seth, unfortunately, had been one of them. "Would you tell me why you began to practice dark magic if I asked?"

“I just had a business meeting and I figured I could get some more work done after the others left.” Caroline admitted, gesturing for Damara to sit down. As hard as dealing with her blood lust issue was, she didn’t want to be rude and tell the witch that she couldn’t sit here with her - especially since this was the only vacant seat left. “Yeah, it’s in my bedroom, actually. I figured it was appropriate since I do most of my dreaming there. And business is good. I’m going to Milan soon for my new line, so that’s exciting. It’s good to get a break every once in a while. How are you? How’s your magic shop?”

"And how did that go? If I may be so bold to ask." Not many people could claim to own their own successful business at such a young age, and Damara respected Caroline for that. "You don't mean Italy, by chance, do you?" The witch had family there - mindful, rather distant family that she had never personally met, but family. "I just finished getting it back together, thank-you for asking. I was lucky, and not many things were ruined. Things certainly broke, but the herbs mostly went untouched, and my supply of vervain and wolfesbane strains were still there. All in all, I'm back in business, myself. Thank-you for asking." Taking out her lunch, she pulled out an extra pair of chop sticks - one never knew when a friend could be joining fo lunch. "Would you like some?"

“Oh gosh, he definitely has a mischievous side already. It’s cute now but…” she trailed off with a laugh. “And I love seeing them playing in the park, I’ll definitely try to convince my brother to get him outside instead of getting him tons of video games. He’s my nephew, his name’s Kit.” She smiled down at him and then looked slightly guilty. “I was supposed to be studying but I got really interested in this.” She held up a book she’d found in the library’s tiny section on magic. “It’s about really old magic. Pretty interesting.” A person didn’t have to practice magic to be interested in books about it, so she figured it was a safe topic.

"But he'll be a heart breaker when he's older?" Damara finished with a soft, playful tone. "All the handsome ones are." She stuck out her tongue playfully at the child and scrunched her nose at him. "Kit's a lovely name. I'm Damara." The witch thought she'd at least introduce herself, if the young girl was kind enough to at least let her sit with them. When the red head pulled the book out, the older woman raised a curious eyebrow and reached over the table to take a look at it. As she did so, she allowed her fingers to graze over Lindsey's, smiling at the feeling. She wondered if the young witch recognized what that had meant; they had the ability to sense other species through touch, but even a hound is unsure of what he's smelling until he learns.

"This book is surprisingly incorrect." She began to flip through a few of the pages at random, glancing over it, but not thoroughly. "You're not going to find anything worth learning out of, from the stacks in a library, my dear." She gave a soft wave of her hand, and without touching the book, she managed to close it using the element of wind. "You do know what you are, don't you, Sweetheart?"

Lindsey had taken Kit with her on a study session in the park since it was such a nice day and she was stuck babysitting. She didn’t mind though, he was so cute and as long as her brother was working and staying out of trouble she was fine doing whatever he needed. She set the baby back in his stroller and arranged the visor to keep the sun off of him, looking up when she heard a voice. “Of course not! As long as you don’t mind this little guy. It seems like everyone has the same idea of coming here today.” She moved her books out of the way to make a place to sit, piling them into her bag, it was too nice a day to study.

"Of course I don't mind the little guy - he looks to be such a sweetheart when he's not being mischievous." The witch smiled brightly at the child, once more feeling the childless void in her own life. "I think it's wonderful to see kids at a park and not inside playing video games. Or doing something on a computer or the like." The older woman looked around them, taking in the kids on the slide, the splashpad, and just running around having fun. "What were you working on, if I may ask?"

Caroline had just had a business meeting , which happened to be at one of the Chinese restaurants in town. The others had just left and the blonde decided to get some work done while sticking around for a while, ordering herself another drink. She’d been scribbling some things from the meeting down when she heard a female voice, someone asking if they could sit with her. The vampire usually wasn’t against that, so while she continued to write, Caroline nodded gently. “Sure, I don’t mind.” she promised, taking another moment to pause herself to see who was standing at the table. The fact that it was a friendly face and someone she knew was kind of a relief because now, things didn’t have to be awkward with two strangers sitting at the same table. She knew Damara. She liked Damara. The witch sitting here wouldn’t be a problem for Caroline at all. “Oh, hey, Damara. I didn’t realize it was you. Please, have a seat.“

"Always such a delight to run into you, Caroline." Damara spoke honestly, as she took a seat across from the blonde. "What brings you to the park?" Caroline was the first vampire Damara had met, that wasn't questionable. The woman seemed sweet and to be in a considerable amount of control, which she couldn't imagine to be easy. "Did you find a spot for the dream catcher?" The witch had personally just finished the last clean up chores for her shop, since the beast had come to town. It wasn't easy, considering her shop was her entire life, and she took great pride in the natural, homey feel to it. Which meant the shelves had to be made a certain way, being hand crafted in this case. Luckily, her insurance covered most of the costs to rebuild the inside. Also luckily, most items actually went undamaged. "How is your business going?"
