Dear Gay People Who Think It's Okay to be Attracted to Only Races of Your Choice
You are racist.
This isn’t about your right to like whatever you want to like. If you feel so compelled to justify your attraction to one race or only particular races, you’re consciously exercising your right to be overtly racist in who you date.
This is more about your inability to look at the reasons why you have decided against dating people in particular group. The fact of the matter is that you have very likely used some very stereotypical or some racially based criteria to determine who you will and will not date. Furthermore, if you think it’s perfectly acceptable to say, ‘I will not date Black/Asian/Hispanic people,’ but fail to realize that there are few unifying criteria in any of these groups of people other than the fact that their skin/physical attributes are unique to their respective races/ethnicities, YOU ARE BIGOTED BEYOND BELIEF.
You cannot decide against dating an entire race of people because you don’t know everyone that exists within that group. That makes you racist.
Since you don’t know each member individually, that would leave only physical traits to be used as criteria. If you don’t like brown skinned people/people with particular eye shapes/people with particular types of hair/people who speak other languages/etc, etc etc, that makes you racist.
You won’t look at your own motives and continue on this openly racist path, then you defend yourself so that you can continue being a racist, bigoted, disgusting, equality-seeking, love-preaching hypocrite.
Once you understand this, it’s very clear to see that your right ‘not to be attracted’ to a particular race is steeped in stigma and drenched in unacknowledged racism.
I simply cannot understand why it’s so difficult for to ask yourself these questions and to be introspective (thus seeking truth and change) instead of parading around declaring your right to be discriminatory in your actions, while at the same time telling everyone that you’re somehow more deserving of your right to be in love than other people are to be considered viable to date and not pariahs of the LGBT community.
Y’all kill me with this shit. Bye.
There is no further explanation.
