In "the revel under the hill" artwork, who's the fae with long black hair and the girl with a long orange braid? Great art btw!

Hi! Glad you like my art :) If I remember correctly (I drew that piece years ago) the Fae with the long dark hair is Balekin, and the woman with the braid is Dulcamara from the Court of Termites.

Hello readers!

I have decided to formally end this project. I learned so much working on it, and will always be fond of the characters I created to inhabit this little universe. But in order to move on to new things, I need to let this one go. It will stay up here, and ultimately I want to find a more permanent home for the project. I may occasionally draw the girls and share them here and other social media outlets.

Speaking of which, I have been busy posting and interacting with people on instagram, and you can find all of my socials and contact on my website danaamundsen.com.

This was my first foray into long form comics, but I am certain it will not be my last. In fact, I may be scheming up a new project right now!

Thank you from the bottom of my hear to everyone who read, liked, shared, or even looked at my comic. You have no idea what your support has meant to me over these last years.

i made the decision to end this project earlier this year but it still feels kind of sad to write this.

this project was really the culmination of the first chapter of my journey as an artist, and officially announcing that it is over feels like an end. part of my is very afraid that i’ll never do anything better than this, that this project was my one chance and i just didn’t work hard enough or wasn’t talented enough to be successful. logically, i know that’s nonsense and my next project will be better because of everything i learned working on Lady Knight. i’m quietly proud of a lot of the work that i did on this project, given my limited resources and experience.

here’s to my chapter two, which will hopefully be more beautiful and joyful than my chapter one.

wow my old snicket fanart has been getting some attention recently. it’s always interesting and exciting when people find my old work and still like it. i wish i could respond to all of the comments in the notes. those always make me so happy! one person said that they had seen a piece in 2016 and had been looking for it and that honestly means so much to me. it’s also wild that i’ve been posting on the internet for so long.

sometimes i feel like my art doesn’t have any purpose, and i wonder what i’m doing most of the time. but knowing that my work has made an impression on anyone, even in the smallest way, makes me feel so fulfilled.

i don’t draw snicket fanart anymore (i mean i might one day, i just don’t have any plans to) but i still draw book fanart. i’ve migrated to a personal blog the posts show up here automatically, or you can follow the rss feed for that blog. i’m reading the mistborn series by brandon sanderson right now and have posted a couple of fanarts from it with the intention to do some more.

ok this is OLD but i drew this after i saw some guys waiting at a bus stop and tbh i still really like this drawing and want to know the story behind these characters.

i really liked the extra story about the younger kids in MZDS with wwx and lwj as their mentors. it’s been a while sine i read it so i can’t remember the details but i drew this little poster type illustration for the story after i read it but i only recently added some color.
