Shoe Box Project
Just finished presenting our shoe box project. My group had to pick different items for the preschool age group and explain why we chose each item. We had a fun time picking out the different items and discussing our reasoning behind it all. Overall the assignment helped us to look back in information we learned earlier in the semester. Great job guys! Pediatric clinical is officially over😊
Med surg sim
Friday we had our simulation for Med surg 1. It was very interesting to work with a sim patient as well as a student actor. It really made me think about how I would act and what I would do if that happened in real life. My partner and I did a great job at handling our patient and the situation before us, but there's definitely more to learn. Overall we applied our knowledge and skills from both class and clinical to our sim. There is one more med surg clinical of this semester and I can not believe that I am so close to ending this class, happy to begin the next one that will bring me one step closer to graduation!
Pediatric Clinical
So excited to havd finished my last peds clinical today! It was a great experience to work with the nurses and patients at CHOP. I really enjoyed applying the knowledge I've gained from class with my different patients. Even though I do not want to work with pediatric patients I have stol enjoyed the learning experience. Im so happy to close those door and move onto the next!
Pediatric Clinical
I have loved every minute of my clinical at CHOP hospital. I have learned so much and have grown as a nursing student. We have had many opportunities and have gained unforgettable memories and relationships with the staff and the patients there. I feel a lot more confident in my nursing schools and taking vital signs. I am excited to continue my clinical journey and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!!
Hey Allison!! It's so great that you've learned so much from your CHOP clinical. I've had the pleasure of working with you during our med surg rotation and you are truly amazing with the patients, I can only imagine your patient interactions in the pediatric clinical. It was so great meeting you this you and getting to work with you, I know you will only continue to excel!! Keep on crushing this semester boo 😘
Sim lab
Yesterday's pediatric simulation lab went great! Each simulation really tied into what we have been studying. We were able to apply our knowledge to a "real" situation and take charge as the nurse. Discussing the simulation afterwards was very helpful in discussing other ways we could have went about the patient encounter. Overall a good experience!
What a WEEK!
These past few tests felt like never ending hurdles. It seemed as if, no matter how much time and effort was put into studying a curve ball was always thrown. The good news is, we all persevered and got through it. No matter what the turn out was, continue to stay the course. This program may be challenging, but we all worked hard to be here today so giving up is not the answer. There are a lot of people who wish to be where we are today but, unfortunately did not make it. So, just by being is this program is evidence of your success so don’t beat yourself up if you don’t do as well as you wish. The Only Way To Get Through It Is To Go Through It <3 <3 <3

Exams on top of exams..
So happy that two weeks of back to back exams are over! Even though some of the exams did not turn out how I would have liked, I did well overall and am happy we are almost done this semester! Everyone take a well deserved weekend break and get back in the grind Monday! #wedabest
