Is anyone else struggling to make right now? Normally I'm a "channel all your anxiety into making art" type of gal, but this week has been rough. Also filling out applications for future endeavors seems a little strange to me too. Been thinking about these cloud buddies, my intention was to create a friend that you can carry with you. Each one has a different pattern, meant to represent the uniqueness of the owner/buyer. They feel like they were made for this social distancing society we are in now. Another light catcher. Right now I'm spending some time writing about these objects, trying to understand this urge to create them. As a former church goer and a person who is recovering from a Christian upbringing, I'm making objects that represent these new rituals I am finding myself in.
