The Living Room, Cathal Brugha Street.
The Living Room
The next venue that we will be writing about is The Living Room. It is located on Cathal Brugha Street, right in the centre of the city and is one of the very best sports bars/nightclubs in the area. While it is open from early times, it is known as a late night club, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. With entry being free, it becomes one of the liveliest venues in the city.
Regarding it’s facilities, it is a reasonably large venue which is primarily seen as a sports bar with plenty of large televisions showing a range of sports all day. There is a beer garden in the back with its own bar and outdoor screen. One of the things the bar is known best for is its shisha lounge. It is very popular among people of different ages which offers a great atmosphere and an enjoyable time. There is also a pizza shack which is situated in the beer garden which provides a wide variety of pizzas to choose from.
Overall, The Living Room is definitely somewhere which should go on your bar/nightclub bucket list of Dublin. It is a venue which any sports fan will enjoy and with its free entry and relatively cheap drinks, you can’t go wrong.
Dtwo NightClub, Harcourt Street.
Dtwo NightClub
This week’s blog will feature Dtwo bar and nightclub. Dtwo is located in Harcourt Street, a few blocks away from the previous bar/nightclubs that have been featured in this blog. These are Copper Face Jacks and Dicey’s Garden. Dtwo nightclub is open on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10pm until late.
The entrance fee for Dtwo is about €10, but this varies. Drink prices are relatively cheap and is very famous among college students and young adults. The nightclub has a capacity of 400 guests but there is also a Beer Garden, an outdoor space that can accommodate 800 guests during the day. Dtwo also have 20 screens and a 20-foot screen that have coverage of major sporting events.
What makes Dtwo popular with students is the 3 DJs that are available during the night that play different types of music from old classics and new ones that are in the charts at the moment. The DJs are also welcome to accept requests of particular music from guests throughout the night.
Like Dicey’s Garden, Dtwo also attracts different cultures and it is a perfect opportunity to meet people from all over the world. With its location by the LUAS Green line, it makes it easy to travel to and from the nightclub. With other nightclubs nearby, it will not be hard to find a club that will not satisfy you.
Tramline, D’Olier Street.
Tramline
This evening, we will look at Tramline. Tramline night club is one of Dublin most popular nightclubs especially among students. It has grown in popularity over the last few years. It is situated on D’Olier Street in the city centre just twenty seconds from Trinity college. Opened in September 2017 after being revamped from previous nightclubs such as Tara Club 21 and Coyote. Tramline has managed to be more successful than the nightclubs that have been in the same locations due to its investment. It now hosts live music and conferences on top of discos.
What makes the club so popular is the different types of music it plays. There is three rooms throughout the club, usually one for a DJ, one for the latest chart hits and one for a live act. There is also a bar in each room. The club is always full to capacity every night its open, which is up to one thousand.
One of the reasons why it attracts so many students is its cheap prices. With most drinks two euro or cheaper during weekdays it is a major catch for the money tight youngsters. These prices are extraordinarily cheap compared to some other nightclubs in Dublin such as Coppers and Everleigh.
Although it is not the most well-known club in Dublin, it still manages to attract big numbers each night. It is growing its reputation as a cheap and enjoyable club throughout Dublin and is a place that is sure to attract many more people over the college seasons.
Dicey’s Garden, Harcourt Street.
Dicey’s Garden
The next bar/nightclub we will be looking at is the very popular Dicey’s Garden. It is located on Harcourt Street only metres down the road from one of our previous bars/nightclubs, Copper Face Jacks. Dicey’s is commonly regarded as the best nightclub in Dublin on a Monday night. Opening times are 4pm until 2:30am every day of the week but it is the events on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays that it is known for.

It has 4 bars and a live DJ, with music differing between 80’s and 90’s hits, throwback 00’s songs and also quite a lot of modern music too.
Unlike many of the other nightclubs in Dublin, Dicey’s is incredibly culturally diverse. You can meet people from countries all across the world. It is one of the most popular venues among students where it is certain that you will have a great night. It is impossible to list the best nightclubs in the city and not mention Dicey’s Garden.
Copper Face Jacks, Harcourt Street.
Copper Face Jacks
The third bar/nightclub the blog will look at is the Copper Face Jacks. The famous Copper Face Jacks nightclub is at the heart of nightlife in Dublin City seven days a week. The most popular and famous nightclub in the country. Located on Harcourt Street in Dublin’s city centre attracts hundreds of students throughout the weekdays and over twenty-ones on the weekend.
First opened in 1996 at the bottom of the Jackson Court Hotel, the nightclub has grown in popularity throughout the years. With three floors of dancing and music, a large outdoor smoking area and given its location it is no wonder that it is Irelands number one nightclub.
For people from outside of Dublin, coppers is the place that you are likely to find them. The traditional sing-a-longs songs are always blaring so it is ideal for college students to enjoy drinking and dancing with their friends. Its peak time for business is during the months of the football and hurling championships when thousands of fans out supporting their county are in town and looking for some nightlife. Although ‘Coppers’ as it is nicknamed, is expensive, it still does not struggle to attract big numbers every night of the week.
Overall, Coppers has everything that young partiers are looking for. It is the perfect place to enjoy some drinks and dance the night away once you are not planning on checking your bank balance the next day.
