did you see the best part?
here’s their writeup–
its true…
No umbrellas we get cleansed by the rain like stevie nicks wanted
At night the beast sleeps
these fawns laying amongst a million pillows is how i want to live my life every day

@podencos
How difficult is it to sheer a poodle at home? I’m not talking a fancy show cut, or even a traditional poodle shape—I mean a flat, even short cut all over the body. Regular grooming would cost me about $75 every 4-6 weeks so I’m interested in the learning curve of a poodle buzz cut (with a good-quality dog grooming trimmer, of course). That doesn’t seem to be a cut many people opt for, but I think it looks cute and might be most practical for tick and burr season. Would it be something I could conceivably learn to do at home?
not to infodump but this is the one thing about poodles i’ve been hesitant on, but i’ve been told that they’re actually surprisingly low maintenance if you’re not going for any kind of a show cut, and if you don’t mind your dog looking just a little bit rough
I’m told that when you’re going for a utilitarian, short-all-over cut, often called (because nobody can ever fucking agree what any cut is called, just like human hair, and you have to show a picture if you’re requesting something) a Retriever Cut, Sporting Cut, or Kennel Clip or (usually with a 10 blade or a 7 blade) if you’re doing it on a fully grown poodle after about a month or two of growth, it will take about an hour, sometimes more, it will probably get faster as you and your hypothetical future dog get used to it! Most difficult parts being the toes, which you have to scoop the fluff out of, and the face, which dogs are understandably sensitive about, but if you bathe and brush the poodle first (and preferably give them a regular brushing once their hair is that long), it should be easier on your clippers! here’s a very goofy video about a middle aged man giving his very cute dog a very rough 10-blade-all over cut, it is probably my favorite video on youtube! the dog has clearly done this 100s of times and falls asleep while he’s cutting, even though she’s a little matted : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu4aVKz7-So
also, if you want to see other dogs with this cut, here’s another of my favorite videos on youtube! https://youtu.be/AHdSG9ZicFs
his tail is so long and wiggly…like an irish wolfhound puppy, or, like, a wooly snake!

i tell all my buddies who are sharpening a stick in order to stand in the shallows and spear fish the same thing: you gotta adjust your aim to compensate for light refraction
Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews Band except on the radio of your dad’s pickup truck, which you stole this morning to pick up your best friend. It’s 1997 and the first day of summer after senior year, and as you drive around the neighborhood that you grew up in together, you both realize you’ve been gay for each other this whole time.

Survival horror but you are inside a fucking IKEA and the enemy is the Staff
Now THAT is a horror game
this is just how ikea is
NO OK but for people who dont know this is a game based off of an SCP! SCP-3008 is a huge IKEA that has grown beond its physical boundries. It has its own day and night cycle, as shown by the lights shutting off. And thats when the Staff become aggresive. Anyway sorry for fanboying heres the link to the game

Didn’t even know people are not allowed to give blood if they are gay
That’s been the thing for years. The HIV scare of the ‘80s prohibited us from donating blood. And they still hold that against us despite the fact that that claim has been debunked over and over again.
the wording on the paperwork is “Are you a man who has had sexual intercourse with a man after 1980” or “Are you a woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man who has had sexual intercourse with another man since 1980” (this was a blood drive at my college where majority of the students werent Alive in 1980.) I donated all the time back when I was a virgin, because o- , but now I’m not allowed to. So a better question for this article is “Why won’t baby boomers let queer people donate blood, even though all the blood gets screened for HIV and aids anyway?” though, theres a lot of room for loopholes in the wording of it
This fucking matters. Bias in medicine is bias that should not exist. Fucking fix it.
Me flirting: did you know the mating rituals of the tailless whip scorpion are incredibly gentle, involving the male caressing the female and holding her hand?
I…I may have gotten a date from this profile
Anyway just celebrated my two month anniversary with my girlfriend who I met with this profile
8??? Months?????
I’m both touched by the wholesomeness of the story but also whipspiders are one of the many reasons why I don’t want to visit the Amazon…how can people live amoungst things like that…
They’re harmless! Even though they’re related to spiders and scorpions, they have no venom. Think of them as shy, spidery crabs that like to live in caves. They’re found worldwide in places where it’s warm and humid enough for them. I used to have one as a pet, and my dating profile features one crawling on my cheek.
