I’m very much a girl that likes to have options. That’s the way I am with fashion, and that’s the way I am with my life.
"Yeah, actually that’s exactly how it usually happens, it’s really just a matter of time to be honest."
"Oh wait...I think I feel something..." Andy's body shakes for a moment, a little sound leaving her lips before moving her hand and pushing out her middle finger. "Oh, that's what it was. That and I almost threw up in my mouth. You were attractive before you opened your mouth, and now...? Now, you look like a little-dicked asshole."
"I think it’d be a little bit of a burden. I’d feel so much pressure if anything [bad] would happen, and I don’t think I would have time to just live, because everything can change, once you know the future and if you try and change it — nothing would play out the way it was supposed to. I think it’s better that life is kind of like a mystery, I think that’s what drives us."
Andy looks around, eyes darting from face to face before turning back to the handsome stranger. "Oh...OH, and I supposed to just fall on my knees in front of you, now? Is that was usually happens at this point?"
"Only potential? So it’s more of a lunch time thing and not a romantic dinner sort of place?"
"Actually, yes. Hopefully when it's paid it's dues and it's been around for a bit, it'll start to know the clientele and hopefully get better. Time will tell on that. I take it you have a romantic date, you lucky man."
"Thank you." Wendy replied with a small smile, slightly taken aback by the brunette’s input.
Realizing she'd overstepped she shook her head. "I'm sorry, that wasn't my business. It's just...nice to see that people have family around this time of year. You're just...very lucky. Do they live near here?"
"Oh! Crap!" Madelyn immediately dropped to the floor and began scooping the contents back into the colorful bag. "I’m so sorry, my mother always said I could lose my head if it wasn’t attached," she babbled on as she finished picking up the items.
Andy made quick work of helping the girl put her things together and laughed in disbelief when she spoke of what her mother said. "You're kidding? That's exactly what mine used to tell me. Damn those parents. Always having to be right."
"…Sorry, what?"
"You dropped your purse. I'm helping you pick it up. All your stuff fell out of it..."
"No… No, I promise, things are good." Wendy reassured into the phone, pausing to let the other person speak. Her lips curled upwards into a sad smile before shaking her head. "I’m being honest. Stop worrying so much and merry Christmas."
Andy didn't mean to listen into Wendy's conversation, but she couldn't help herself. Her own heart ached for a moment, knowing that she'd never have those conversations with her own family, at least not her blood. Giving the familiar face a smile, she took a sip of her drink. "You're lucky. That you have people that care about you so much."
"Officially clocked out. Now ladies, no need to line up all at once, there’s plenty of me to go around."
"These assholes are using my credit cards to buy all sorts of shit, and you’re seriously telling me that there is no way to track them down. They are still in Regium, they decided to buy pizza thirty minutes ago."
Andy kept her arm around Adele, staring daggers into the police officers in front of her. "C'mon, guys. You said you would find these guys, and it's been longer than anticipated." She squeezed Adele's good arm, and leaned across the desk. "You either do your job right, or I'll file a complaint so big your fat ass will never come back from it. They almost killed one of my best friends..."
"Have you heard anything good about this new Italian place?"
"It's definitely not horrible. I think it's got potential."
Diane raised an eyebrow at the young lady, silently disapporiving of her language. “Lost, are we, dear?” she said a little loftily.
Andrina looked over at the woman, everyone who paid attention knew who this woman was. Rolling her eyes, she didn't eve apologize for her language. Andy never apologized for it--it was part of her and if people didn't like it, then...quite honestly, fuck them. She raised an eyebrow back, crossing her arms. "Yes, actually. There was supposed to be a space for a dance class over here...but I can't figure out which building it's in."
"What? No, I do genuinely have a home! I live in that shitty-ass apartment building in town." He made a face, wondering if he should be annoyed or flattered that she was pressing the matter.
"Shitty ass apartment building, huh? That shitty ass apartment building got a bed in it?" Andy raised her eyebrows at him and smirked. "Or is it bad enough you'd rather fall asleep in a public place. If it were the library...maybe I'd understand. You were reading...got sleepy...it happens. But...this isn't the library. So..." She narrowed her eyes before genuine concern settled there. "Are you alright?"
"What? Yes! I do, of course I do," he answered, though he thought that the ‘of course’ was a push as he could see where she was coming from. "Sorry, uh, I must have dozed off."
Giving him a disbelieving look, she crossed her arms over her chest. "That sounded like an over exaggeration to me, if I've ever heard one. Is this the point where I take your word for it? Or should I keep pressing to see if you need my help?" She was genuinely curious as to what he was doing out here, and her instinct told her to ask questions.
"I’ve been wandering these streets my whole life. I just have a really good idea of where everything should be around here.” Clopin grinned, shaking his head. He bumped his shoulder against hers in response to her shoving his arm, knowing there was no way she actually thought she could take him on when he easily weighed over twice what she did. His smile faded as she checked her phone and informed him that her date had bailed on her.
"That sucks. I told you he was probably an idiot. But yeah- I’m free. No work tonight.” He offered, looking over at her.
"You're lucky then. I don't like getting lost. It makes me...incredibly fucking uncomfortable. Like I wanna punch someone's dog." The playfulness between them was refreshing. Leave it to her Palace family to cheer her up. "You wanna go grab a bite or something? Walking in Louboutins is never fun. And also...I have a present for you."
Her smile grew by multitudes as he spoke. "How come you are so quick to think that he's the idiot? It could have just easily been something I've done...My mouth. You know how that gets me in a lot of trouble." Sighing, she crossed her arms over her chest as the walked. "So...I haven't told Ursula yet...but I kind of got a tattoo."
