Inspired by Matthew 6:33 from the New Testament. #lettering #calligraphy #vector #typography #newtestament
Finally, after all the practices and training. It was time. Everything was set. The stage, costumes, make-up, the arena. Itâs about to start.
As the crowd went crazy, she said her own little prayer. Then the performance started.
Tumbles. Power moves. Graceful. Flawless. Beautiful, indeed. She was dancing with her crew in front of a crowd with 10,000 people watching them, cheering them, praising them for how much they were talented and anointed in dancing.
Her crew were amazed by the crowd and appreciation. It was overwhelming. But she didnât even notice a bit of the crowd. She was having the time of her life. She was having her own little world. Sheâs dancing for her first love, her true love. He was the only thing she can see. And she whispered, âGod, this is for You.â
In my misery I demanded an explanation from God. After all, I had done what he asked me to doâI had put âmy babyâ on the altar. And now this? Like Jonah in the belly of the great fish, I was arguing with God and making my case for why God owed me rescue. Worn out, afraid, and angry, I insisted that God give me my old life back. The gentle but straightforward answer from God that I received from the pages of Colossians that morning was simple but sobering: âItâs not your old life you want back; itâs your old idols you want back, and I love you too much to give them back to you.â
I was being challenged by God to more fully understand exactly what I already had in Christ. For far longer than I recognized, I had been depending on the endorsement of others to validate meâto make me feel that I mattered. God began rescuing me from that slavery by forcing me to rediscover the gospel.
I was learning the hard way that the gospel alone can free us from our addiction to being likedâthat Jesus measured up for us so that we wouldnât have to live under the enslaving pressure of measuring up for others.
His good news met me in my dark place, at my deepest need. Through his liberating word, I was being transformed, freed, refreshed
I was realizing in a fresh way the now-power of the gospelâthat the gospel doesnât simply rescue us from the past and rescue us for the future; it also rescues us in the present from being enslaved to things like fear, insecurity, anger, self-reliance, bitterness, entitlement, and insignificance (more on all this later). Through my pain, I was being convinced all over again that the power of the gospel is just as necessary and relevant after you become a Christian as it is before.
because Jesus was strong for me, I was free to be weak; because Jesus won for me, I was free to lose; because Jesus was someone, I was free to be no one; because Jesus was extraordinary, I was free to be ordinary; because Jesus succeeded for me, I was free to fail.
Many people today experience being burnt out from God. We get too familiar with all these church stuff. Or maybe we get too busy with our work that we compromise our time with Him. Or worse, we tend to go back and do what we used to do when God wasnât still in our lives. And thatâs when we realize that somethingâs missing, that what weâve been doing is not what we really wanted. And at times, we tend to condemn ourselves and do everything to gain His forgiveness. But Godâs mercy is always new every morning. We donât need to earn it. It doesnât matter how bad our sins could be. Once we repent, humble ourselves and ask His forgiveness, He graciously forgives us. Our sins are washed as white as snow. He loves us so much that He is graciously giving us the chance to go back to Him and start over. He did this to let You realize that it is only Him who can satisfy you. Remember, itâs not you looking for God but it is God who has always been looking for you. So how about leave all the past behind, and start over? Once you are in God, you are a new creation as is says in 2 Corinthians 5:17. You might be grieving today but remember, no one will take away your joy. Because God is joy. For you are His, and He is yours.Â
6Â Stunning Reasons You Should Be Proud to be in the Advertising Industry
If youâre a graduating high school student searching for the perfect course, or if youâre thinking about shifting for the right college degree or major, or if youâre just waiting for a sign, this is it. Chos.
Here are 6 reasons to love Advertising :
1. People think youâre cool
The average guy or gal's perception of the ad industry is that it's a very cool place to be. This is the only profession without a uniform â from cowboy boots, sneakers, heels, unmatched socks, or even pajamas up to outrageous hair colors and hairstyles, you are allowed explore and express yourself however you want it to be. (as long as itâs within the right given parameters). Plus, you get to work in offices as awesome as these.

If you are a creative individual, an Advertising Arts degree will allow you to expand on this creativity while also giving you the unique and valuable feedback of your peers and instructors. You have the gift that cannot be reproduced nor bought. Hindi yan nabibili sa divi. Cannot be bought in whole sale. Itâs all you. Itâs who you are. And this degree is the perfect avenue for you to reach your uttermost potential and release that beast inside of you.
2. Multipotentiality: Multiple talents, Multiple challenges
Who knew that you could do these?!

It is a requirement of all Advertising Arts students to learn about present and past artistic styles and techniques. You get to learn new styles and refine your skills: painting, sculpting, illustration, digital art, animation, graphic design, photography, film making, copywriting, event organizing, fashion design, production design and game development. Obtaining this information may help improve your own work or expose you to new styles you never thought were possible.
Just like what Emilia Wapnick mentioned:
âIn a world full of multi-complex and diverse problems, we need, you, creative out of the box thinkers to tackle them. You are a multipotentialite! THE WORLD NEEDS YOU!â
- Emilia Wapnick, TEDx
3. Never-ending Opportunities
Once you obtain your BFA Advertising degree, the opportunities available to you. ARE. ENDLESS. Many industries such as fashion, film, television, education, art therapy, arts & culture management, and the entertainment industry are looking for people with degrees. You might as well be the next Yaya Dub! (or the people behind the screens and productions. Yup, thatâs more realistic).
4. You donât chase after the money, the money chases after you.
Students majoring in advertising receive real-world experience. They write actual copy and develop advertising campaigns for the Internet and more traditional venues. Most programs include an internship where students get experience working in an advertising agency or a similar organization. Since there are countless number of real job titles and careers for an Advertising Degree, students are ready to start working once they graduate. *wink*
5. You are THE CHOSEN ONE, you are the MASTER of thee ARTS!!!
Advertising offers students several areas of concentration, allowing them to fulfill their career goals in areas that interest them and make use of their strengths. But usually, the last two years of an Advertising Arts major degree are focused on one or two areas you wish to specialize in. This allows you to claim on your resume that you are an expert in a specific specialization and really stand out from other applicants.
6. Youâre the Guardian of the Galaxy
An ad-man once said:
âAng trabaho natin noble. Sa unang launch pa lang ng commercial, milyon-milyon nakakapanood. âDun pa lang may natutulungan na tayo.â
 - JP Cuison, Associate Creative Director of PublicisJimenez Basic
Working in the advertising industry is a very noble job. There are countless stories that inspired the people and evolved the culture into something greater. The biggest idea might be in your head that the world needs to hear. That idea might be the one that could solve the worldâs greatest problems. Youâre a superhero! You are actually making the world a better place.
So what are you waiting for? Itâs never too late to be what you might have been. Or maybe just love advertising. Finally, donât forget to hit that share button!
(via 20 Ways to Change Your Life in Your Twenties)
Part 1 Wouldnât it be nice if you do your best and there is excellence in everything You do. Excellence in work, excellence in studies, excellence in serving Him, excellence in sports, excellence in music or any other activity. Wouldnât that be amazing? And here enters procrastination and cramming. Whichever way, it is really tempting, especially when youâre fed up and tired doing your best in everything you do.So you choose to quit being productive, which makes you say goodbye to excellence. Then it comes to a point that you compromise and remember that oh yeah, God is forgiving and His mercy is new every morning. Well, that is His character, but is that His will?
Lazy people finally die of hunger because they wonât get up and go to work. (Proverbs 21:25, MSG) Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Lean from their ways and become wise! (Proverbs 6:6, NLT) Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest. (Proverbs 20:4, NLT) Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. (Proverbs 20:4, NLT)
Consider going for diligence. One way to show how much you love God is obedience. See how much a Father He is to us? He even encourages us to:
Winners in life. Donât you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! (1 Corinthians 9:24, NLT)
All-out to giving our best. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
Do your best. Do everything in excellence. Do not compromise. God is an excellent god, so must be excellent Christians as well. ââââââââââââââââââââ- Part 2 But you wouldnât avoid getting tired. Let me cite an exampleâŠ. Letâs say you are a student. So you do your best in your studies. But since you give so much effort to that you ended up not sleeping or resting. And you just say to yourself, âIâm so tired and sleepy but no, God said I should be excellent. I can do anything through Him who gives me strength. Iâll fight this.â Donât you know in that case, you are worshiping another god? And those are grades. Letâs say you still go to church and still have time to meditate on His word, but you put more effort on studying. In that way, you do everything just to get high grades, but not for God. Youâre unconsciously idolizing your grades. Donât get me wrong. Yes, it is His command that we should be excellent. But it is also His command that He should be the center in everything we do. And to be honest, you wonât be strong by meditating or praying on â I can do anything through Him who gives me strengthâ. Well, He does give us strength. But in what way? How?
But he said to me, âMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.â Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christâs power may rest on me. That is why, for Christâs sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
Godâs grace is sufficient for each day. Boasting about your weakness is admitting you are human, that you have limits, that you get tired and need rest. Thatâs when we become strong. Because we just stay still, and let God move. And thatâs what you call faith! That even if you did your best but you still have to do more, yet your body is tired, you rely on God and let Him move. And we must take care of our bodies, for it is the temple of God. Donât abuse it. It does not please Him.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. (1 Corinthians 6:19)
There are five principles that we can get out of this passage:
Your body doesnât belong to you. Itâs Godâs property.
Your body is where the Holy Spirit lives.
God calls us to take care of our bodies.
Your body was bought at a high price. Jesus paid it on the Cross.
We are to honor God with our bodies.
Now think of this. You do your best in everything you do, you do it excellently, yet you make sure you have enough time to rest or sleep. Now that honors and glorifies Him. And people will begin to see that in you and wonder, âHow is he/she able to do that? How does he/she balance everything?â Awesome life, right? God made us to be extraordinary, to live beyond normal.
And at times, we tend to condemn ourselves and do everything to gain His forgiveness. my favorite.
I will surround You with waves of worship and I will float You in the ripples of my praise. For You blew wind in my sails, and set me out onto the water, and I am gliding my way through the ocean, in faith that You will provide me with the knowledge, direction and strength I need to reach my destination. My hands are high, my arms set wide and my heart is completely and utterly abandoned for You. I have given up my life on the safety of land, Iâve risked the comforts and the security of what is known, and I have gone searching and longing to be found in the readings of the tide, out here amongst the storm, amongst thunder and rain. Iâm swimming, Iâm treading water, Iâm keeping my head above the oceans line, knowing that alone I am unsafe, but with You, I am totally secure. Your allowance increases as my refusal decreases, and I let go of my inhibitions, letting myself to be pulled further from the shore; further from the well known and the contentment. Let it be known⊠I wonât wait for You on the surety of the sand, but I will wait for You in the depths of the ocean; ready and eager to rise and walk on its surface when You call me; because though the waves crash over and over again, and could easily be feared⊠All I hear is You.

Christians were killed because of their faith in Oregon this week. I can help but wonder what I would say in that situation. A gunman asking whether or not students are Christian, and killing the ones that say yes. Iâm humbled by the courage and conviction of those who did not deny Christ in that moment. God help me to live for You with the same boldness of these students who died for You.
