Now, after The Final Problem, we have two options for the rug pull: (1) Gatiss turned Sherlock into a low-budget horror film, without detective cases or deductions, in order to alienate his audience and tank his own career OR (2) Gatiss, however cruel, faked a series finale with a spoof of its own show in order to prove a point about what makes Sherlock truly engaging to the audience, by releasing more footage within the week. It’s all a dream. The whole logic of this ep was dream logic. John being slow to realize what the bones were, Sherlock finding a dog dish that never existed, walls falling over, darts hitting three men who no one could have guessed would be standing in those positions or that darts would be needed… Sherlock not being terribly observant, Mycroft not immediately questioning what was up with his movie…I mean, we could go on and on and on.

In these remaining moments before we see an episode air for the last time for a long time I want you all to know that I’ve always enjoyed every moment of my time as part of the Sherlock (and specifically Johnlock/TJLC) fandom. You are all so so so smart and lovely and creative and funny and I have enjoyed every last second of it. I’m excited for what’s to come, and I look forward to continuing to love my time with all of you to follow. Just know that I love you all and I feel so very fortunate to have found you all and to have Sherlock in my life. This show, and the people I have met because of it, has affected me permanently and changed me forever. I’ve learned things about myself and become more educated about others and the world around me, as well. I’ve made some of the best friends I have and have had the chance to have so many exciting new opportunities simply because of this show and this fandom and I am eternally grateful. i saw pride yesterday on the tv and it rly just got me thinking avout this time 2yrs ago when i was so happy and out and proud and loved the litte pridecommunity here on tumblr and i couldnt imagine anything better than being queer and how i now seem to ahave gone backwards and how im so selfhating and how i would do literally anything to be straight idontknow i just miss that person and feeling a part of something and being proud
