In light of what we know now, as I believe that would have been canon (and still can be in season 3) about Robby's mum, this scene makes me even more sick than before. How did she do it? Did he see it? Does he blame himself? Did he try to save her? Did he try to wake her up and couldn't? He was just a little boy... I feel sick to my stomach. This scene is not just about him anymore. Where is he in his head? Is he back there? Still feeling responsible? 🥺🥺🥺 He just wants his mum.

I need more of Jack just relentless pursuing Robby. Just like a dog with a bone. Robby isn't uninterested or anything, he's just not prepared for this level of attention from anyone. Jack is so ready to just lock Robby down for life and he is not letting anything stand in his way.

Jack could have predicted, to some degree, that getting Robby into his bed would be rewarding. Long before he managed it he’d thought about the prospect in great detail, imagined the mutually satisfying orgasms they could work toward, the way they’d likely curse at each other; the way he hoped they’d laugh.

What he didn’t anticipate was this—Robby stretched out in his bed, loose-limbed, post-coital, watching him sleepily with a smile on his face. He hadn’t thought about Robby humming with pleasure while Jack cleaned him up, or Robby catching Jack’s hand just to press a kiss to his knuckles. He hadn’t considered the way that Robby would turn toward him when he finally got back in bed, the way that Robby would blink lazily, like some kind of long, lean cat, and rub his face against the pillow, and continue to smile. Jack hadn’t given nearly enough thought to how badly he’d want to touch him, or how Robby would sink deeper into the mattress under the gentle pressure of Jack’s hand. He hadn’t thought about Robby relaxed. It was fucking intoxicating.

Jack inch-wormed closer, one long shiver running down his spine as Robby clumsily threw an arm around him to pull him in, and indulged them both in a sweet, messy kiss that Robby kept fucking up by smiling. And Jack could only smile in response, tug up the sheets and the blankets, lie there and watch Robby drift slowly to sleep. With his defenses down he looked younger, and a fierce wave of protectiveness washed up from Jack’s heart. “I got you,” he whispered. He hadn’t anticipated just how much.
