ive been experimenting with drawing MAMMALS. specifically SEALS and WALRUSES because theyre just so shaped and so dang cute. mammals are really growing on me. i used to be a very "i like things with exoskeletons" kind of person but mammals are their own class of bizarre and weird that im really starting to appreciate

anyway i want to make a fursona and im leaning towards a walrus. a big fat slug walrus. perhaps a sea slug, even. nudibranch walrus. did you know walruses can pop out their eyeballs to get a better field of vision? weird animals i love em

Many accounts of the legendary mermaids may owe their existence not to a fish-like humanoid, but to the elusive sea beavers (Castor littoralis).

This species of rodent, much like its freshwater cousin, builds complex wooden structures, creating artificial reefs to farm fish and seaweed. Unlike their relatives, though, their supply of wood is limited. While most rely on driftwood or tear down human docks, some populations have opted to construct intricate lures, possibly to attract human attention and provoke shipwrecks. This brings in a new source of materials to grow their ever-larger barriers.

was at the corner store getting a few snacks and a 7 year old with a single packet of two poptarts struck up a conversation with me while I was choosing between Chex mix flavors. weighed in on the flavors. They continued to follow me through the store all the way to checkout and stood there talking to me at the register so the cashier thought they were my kid and I finally said “are you possibly hoping for someone to buy those poptarts” and they pulled out a WAD of cash and said “nope just talking to ya.”
