i watched Obsession, Hokum, and Send Help
Obsession was really good, i had to turn on all my lights after watching, the iconic walking backwards scene almost had me peeing my pants
definitely entering my top 10 horror movies, i think it would make a great rewatch but i think it wouldn't be any better on a rewatch since it's pretty predictable from the start and in addition has a lot of foreshadowing, i probably won't be able to say anything that hasn't been said, almost everyone i know has already watched it and we all have the same opinions on it
Hokum was one that i thought was surprisingly good! especially after the awkward opening. i almost got bored watching the first part of the movie, i ended up focusing a lot more once Ohm spread his parents ashes, and then the bar scene had me really hooked, i focused in on the movie and i loved it afterwards, my heart was pounding, the makeup and costumes used were... too good! i hated it! so much! and tbh i gotta admit, i'm a SUCKER for heartwarming scenes, which is why the part with his mom's ashes had me paying a lot more attention, i already knew that was going to play a large part later on and it sure did! predictable, but like i said, i love heartwarming scenes in a scary movie teehee :3
Send Help was a wild ride, i was disgusted by a large part of the movie, not because of the special effects and whatnot, but because of all the eating and drinking scenes, i think i was actually less disgusted by the grown man i saw picking his nose in the candy aisle a couple days ago
it was a mix of comedy, thriller, and horror, in a survival setting and does a pretty good job blending all those things. other than the gross eating scenes i was comfortably uncomfortable with how the plot was progressing, the music immediately let you know how you should feel, there wasn't really any surprises in the movie, but there was jumpscare later on in the movie actually did make my jaw drop :O ! yikes! they really did a great job with it!
