No post for a long time, that is quite okay.
My wife and I have been fostering kids again ( we took time off because it’s fucking hard!
Since we started fostering again we were placed with a 4month old and a 4 year old (June 2023) the goal of foster care is REUNIFICATION always first that’s the goal.. well it’s been a year and a half and they’re still with us … no one has done what they needed to do to get them back the cw has always tried to help their parents trying to guide them to get the kids back …
On dec 30 there is a court date where they could loose their parental rights. I have so many emotions I know we have been asked to adopt them and of course we said yes . But my god this is devastating either way someone looses. These kids loose so much more than I can fathom. But just like the past year and a half we will be here helping them navigate this next part of their journey.
