Last year I was working on animated short film called showpark as a environment / character artist. The story is mostly political satire. While I was putting together the environtment I was partially paiting and partially using premade assets like bushes and some buildings to save time. It felt awesome to finish the background art and than see how animator gave it life, as stuff started to move. :-) It was also interesting to see how a drawn puppet works.

A short comics about scratchcards. I used a quite new technique for me: liner + watercolor, that never seemed to work, somehow I got over the “looks like shit stage” and I can finally show it here. :-)

I remember some years ago on college I was coloring pictures only on computer and than one day teacher from comics and illustration for children came to me and asked me to draw animals for Pilsen zoo using traditional technique. I had no idea how to do it so I took a piece thick paper, some watercolors and drew a deer... it looked like shit and she wasnt very pleased. I put that picture here for a comparison  of progres. :p

I am glad that after years I finally am quite comfortable with using traditional technique, but its still quite difficult for me and time consuming.

Příběh o čuníkovi, experimentální komix.

V době, kdy sem dělal tenhle komix mi přišlo, že když budu vegetarián tak budu žít v určité iluzi. Budu spokojený sám se sebou a budu si říkat, že ke špatným věcem, co se dějí zvířatům nepřizpívám, ale ve výsledku se tím v reálu vlastně nic nezmění. 

Také jsem opovrhoval tím, když někdo vegetariánství používá k tomu, aby na sebe upoutal pozornost.

Jeden storyboard ůhlem co sem dělal k příjmačkám na Vošku před pár lety. Je to reklama na kadibudku. :-)

This comics sort of ilustrates how I feel about taking animals purely as food, wish there was some way we could live and share world with animals without killing them. (I know another vegetarian cliche :D... nevermind)
