whenever i struggle to draw something difficult and don’t pull it off as well as i wanted to i’m like ah yes. this is it. art is over now. i’m done. done forever. i can no longer draw competently. and then i draw something easy and i’m like wow that was so silly of me i’m such a good artist !

Idk why but sometimes I get super jealous of my younger self's ability to design without a care in a world...yet I know I'm better at designing now...but I don't have that careless wonder and boundless inspiration to design.

Exchanging skill for fun seems to be a common occurrence as an artist.

I want to be carefree instead I'm worrying about being careful.

Just thinking about the time one of my middle school art teachers warned the class against making an art piece centered around their significant others or friends.

I feel like a lot of art tutorials rely on the use of a brush that usually isn't a universal brush or a brush that can be recreated similarly in another program.

I generally used to avoid art tutorials because I didn't have an art program that could do what I saw in the tutorials. I felt like that wasn't for me.

#But that's just me #I came about this thought because I saw someone doing a glitter effect and i wondered how i could do that #And i thought “a brush could do it”#I countered it with “no! That doesn't teach me anything!”
