Some of you may know this, but I used to be terrified of public speaking. Like, terrified. As I progressed in my career, I had to talk more and more, otherwise it would have held me back. I’m believer in being outside of your comfort zone, so I didn’t shy away from these opportunities. But it was painful and scary and anxiety inducing. I just landed back in the US from London where we hosted a big customer event. I spoke. This year alone, I’ve spoken at our Sales Kick Off meeting, All-Hands meetings, in Australia, Fireside Chats and more. It will continue. For those of you that have a similar fear or others, I wanted to share two pieces of advice for you. 1) Fill your mind with positivity. Whether its speaking, a new job, a big project or anything, fill your mind with positivity and compassion. 2) It gets easier, the more you do it. Partly because you are practicing a craft, but also because you are reinforcing positive outcomes. Whatever you’re doing to step outside your comfort zone - you’ve got this. We’re all just trying out best here. I am far from perfect, but I’m making progress as long I’m outside my comfort zone. ✌️ (at Kings Place) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3fAmYnA-NW/?igshid=1qz2ls467kwqc
