Long list of reasons I deleted my @SoundCloud #OnSouncloud #NoMore
I feel like SC hates me personally, and I couldn't take it any more - It's a cynical excuse of a website. Here's a list of reasons why imo. Goodbye and good luck, Myspace... I mean, SoundCloud.
Can't delete Tracks / Reposts in Stream - Stream is over crowded.
Scrolling over User links / profile thumbnails shows Follower counts and nothing else like Track / Repost counts. Unhelpful.
Clicking on Artwork takes you to the Track, not the Artwork.
Clicking on Genre Tags takes you to Most Popular, instead of Most Relevant or Most Recent similar music, rendering the linked page useless. No filters on those pages.
Tracks added to Groups I follow don't show up on Stream (?!).
Seeing Tracks with back ground art on Players is unfair - So they're obviously above us, because we can't have those fancy players???
Why is there a player at the bottom?
Only Most Popular tracks show up on Explore, and not Most Relevant / Most Recent, rendering Explore useless. Needs filters.
It takes 2 clicks to get to Profile. In Classic SC, it took 1.
The design is extremely complicated. Profiles are audio Blogs, not Websites.
Two columns is enough (one for sounds, one for info), with top tabs to actually separate Spotlight / Tracks / Reposts etc like on Classic.
Reposting and creating Playlists pushes down my Tracks - I am being punished for supporting others.
Cannot re-order social links (?!). I want Facebook to be at the top, not at the bottom of my few links.
Social links should be above the description, as long descriptions like artist bios for Press officers, push down network links.
Follower Count and Following Count stats should be placed side by side like before, to expose excessive, possibly spam, follows.
Adding a track to Playlist makes the track go last instead of first. Needs to be optional whether to automatically add track to top or bottom. (Newest should be at the top tbh).
Reading notifications does not always remove the orange light.
I am notified when I comment on my own track (?!)
No delete button for SoundCloud's Messages sent to me.
No more Dropbox. Make Dropbox links optionally link to a User's private Group? (Dropbox was very useful, even if it was flawed).
Following is ordered alphabetically instead of most recently followed - I followed LOTS of Users. Also, users put _ and . etc in front of their user names so that they can be 1st on the Following List EVERY TIME.
'Special' user profiles don't have a Following link, only Featured Profiles (?!).
Remove Special (bannered) Profiles - All users should be treated equally.
Where's the Groups link on Profiles???
Can't pause continuous play (?!). It gives other random tracks meaningless ghost plays.
Waveform with 'Bar Chart' bars looks ugly and corporate. Classic smooth waveform was better, and negative feedback obviously ignored.
Default embed player alters / covers up Artwork that designer probably spent hours creating.
No public Download stats, yet other stats can appear (?!). Less pressure to download.
Liking / Reposting an unplayed Track should make the Track auto play, to reduce spam likes / Reposts (more likes / Reposts than plays is annoying).
Commenting User Thumbnails are too small. I want to show off the fact I willingly supported via commenting.
Can't Reply to a Comment strait from the Waveform (?!).
Can't comment strait onto a Playlist Track.
Can't share a Track from SC Track sharing widget to a Facebook Page, only FB Profiles (?!). Don't musicians have, you know, Facebook PAGES?!
Default Twitter sharing text ("have you heard this on SoundCloud") is too long, unnecessary and patronising for a 140 character limit platform. Just say the Title and Track Short Link.
Bring back Short sharing Links (http://snd.sc/******).
Can't Download all Playlist Tracks as a .ZIP, even if all tracks are Download enabled.
Can't Buy Playlists / Tracks strait from SoundCloud (this takes time to develop, I know).

Integrated Video Player from Classic is gone. I want to show visual version of Track.
Scrolling over Track does not reveal time code (?!). Classic players did.
Not given the option which Player gets shared to networks strait from SC - The big one is default, which looks too big and ugly on most networks.
Three tabs to upload one track (?!?!?!!!!!).
Upload does not recognise pre meta data correctly 100% (ie. ft. = Ft. and hip-hop = hip - hop etc.). Not convenient.
Genre tag is First not Last - to change it, I have to delete ALL tags in front of it, then re type the tags I deleted after changing the genre tag.
Adding tags quickly is impossible, as it auto selects before you finish typing (?!). Try tying in "hiphop" and see what happens - Does the tag say exactly "hiphop", or something ELSE?
I can no longer add ISRC codes (?!). (I mean, they're not IMPORTANT or anything!)
I can no longer add Release Code (?!).
I can no longer add Key. (So many people comment on tracks asking for the Key of a track!!!)
Can't add a Track to a Playlists strait from Upload.
Can't edit the Sharing text (!?).
No default upload text like on YouTube Upload (?!).
Remove the Beta, and just polish Classic Upload.
Audio ads interrupt listening, and make users want to unfollow the user. Change them for non intrusive visual ads only. (It is good that you want users to earn money btw).
The 'view all tracks' button on Playlists, that keep you on the page you are on with no re directs.
Repost feature (when used by non spammers).
Messaging system in general.
The ability to change all track info in a Playlist in one Edit window.
The "Make a playlist when multiple files are selected" function.
A Cover Art Creator built into Upload. Add text onto an image strait whilst uploading.
YouTube integration - Uploading the SoundCloud, uploads an audio video to YT as well (which is currently difficult to do).
Limit the character count of Track Titles more, so any can be shared to Twitter.
I'll never complain about SoundCloud again. No I haven't tried the new app - apparently it's terrible.
