I need help lol I can't seem to do the new story quests released today but have done all the other quests leading up to it. I think I'm supposed to have done all 3 of the daily quests with avalon, evergray, and sive, i've done the first two but cannot find sive anywhere in devils gap and the daily for it doesn't appear in my questlog with the others. does anyone know what I'm supposed to be doing
it's so upsetting when ppl complain about not having fics to read but refuse to read wips like ?? this isn't a book store this is a community... the authors are less likely to finish it if y'all only show their work love after it's done...
this isn't a bookstore this is a community
SAY IT LOUDER ANON
i know WIPs can be frustrating because they don't always update constantly or consistently. sometimes they get abandoned. sometimes they go on hiatus for long periods of time.
trust me, i get it. but the fanfic community and fanfic writers thrive on people supporting their works in progress. "there aren't any fics to read" - no there ARE, you're just not reading them.
ao3 isn't netflix. you very rarely get a finished product all in one go that's not a one shot. that defeats the purpose of being able to upload individual chapters at different times.
we as a society are too used to instant gratification and "binging." fanfic wasn't designed for that. if you want to "binge read," go buy a published book. if you want to participate in fandom, support writers who are putting their work out there for free without any compensation other than your love, support, and encouragement.
@corinne-eaglebridge-sso see I know things about harp straps now cause someone made me google for 30 minutes last night
These are the harps that can be used with straps to make playing with both hands easy and comfortable. They’re flat and V-shaped to rest against the body without moving around too much and you still need 2 hands to play.
Aideens harp looks like this. It would dig into your chest and wouldn’t stay still as you play with one hand unless you stabilize it with your other hand. Myth busted
I ran a hangout club for a couple years where we had weekly activities of just playing games and chatting. Here's a list of games we came up with, and short descriptions of how to play them.
Feel free to take these games and play them and change them around as you please. I don't really claim any of these as my ideas since they're just normal playground games made to work in SSO.
Share these as much as you can, too! I'd love to see more hangout clubs with fun activities like these!
Floor is Lava
We played this in a few different ways. In all versions the leader would call out "The Floor is Lava!" and we'd all scramble to climb up on top of something. Either there is a time limit and whoever is still on the ground when time is up is out, or there'd be no time limit and it's just whoever is on the ground last is out. Repeat until you have a winner. Sometimes we'd all gather together specifically to play this and we'd all be ready. Other times the leader would just call it out randomly while we were doing other activities. This was a fun way to spice up trail rides and such.
Hide and Seek
For small groups: One person is chosen as the seeker. They leave, or just trust them to cover their eyes, while everyone else hides. After a set amount of time, or when everyone confirms that they're hidden, the seeker hunts down all of the hiders.
For large groups: One person, or a few people, are chosen as the hiders. Everyone stays together in a group and the hiders run off and hide. After the hiders confirm that they are hidden, the seekers go on the hunt. When you find someone you hide with them. Eventually the hiding spot become a chaotic stack of people. It's very fun!
Remember to set clear limits of where someone can hide! For our small group we liked to limit people to the inside of Firgrove Village or Silverglade Village. We also had the hiders on foot and the seeker on horseback. For the large group we set the entirety of Moorland area as the limit, and everyone stayed on their horses.
Never Have I Ever
Set a finish line. A fence works best. Everyone line up an equal distance away from the finish line. Take turns saying something you've never done. Everyone who has done the thing moves forward one horse length. Everyone who hasn't done the thing stays still. First person to reach the finish line wins!
We made it a rule for the things you've never done to be related to SSO, just to make sure it was kept appropriate for our younger club members. Feel free to set whatever theme you'd like!
Fashion Show
Everyone meets at a storage container. Either at the mall, in the club riding arena, or in someone's homestable. Choose a theme for an outfit. Everyone dress yourselves according to the theme. Either choose judges(we usually had whoever won last be the judge) or just have everyone vote on the winner(in which case the prize can be choosing the theme for the next round).
Truth or Dare
The first person asks someone "truth or dare?" If they choose truth, they have to answer a question. If they choose dare, they have to do a dare. Once they are finished, they ask the next person "truth or dare?" Repeat this until everyone has had a turn. This is yet another game that we limited to SSO-related questions and dares only. We also had some rules about not daring to break the rules or have to buy anything. Just no mean spirited dares. It'd be a good idea to set some rules of your own for this game.
Tag
Choose an area everyone has to stay in. Choose someone to be It. The person who is It tries to chase down everyone else and tag them. To tag someone we either had the person who is It do an emote at them or send them a group invite if you don't wanna play with chat open. If you get tagged you are now It and must try to tag someone else.
Tag is a game well known for having multiple different versions, so go ahead and make this game your own, using this basic idea to invent multiple different games.
Simon Says
Choose someone to be Simon. Everyone else line up in front of them. Everyone do what Simon Says, but only if they start it with "Simon says...". If you miss an order, or follow an order not from Simon, then you're out. Keep going until you have a final winner.
Scavenger Hunt
The host of the game will come up with a list of things to hunt for. They can be specific places, items, npcs, or a special pose or action. The players run around the world and take pictures of the items on the list. First person with a picture of each of the items on the list wins. This is fun to do in groups or pairs, as well!
Relay Race
Split into teams. Plan out where the race will be. We often used the races, but you can just pick a start and finish line somewhere on the map instead if you like. Station the team members along the route you chose. They wait until their teammate tags them and then will race to the next teammate. Keep going until the last member of the team races to the finish line. We used the emote/group invite method to tag each other, just like we did with tag, but you can also use just reaching an area if you'd like.
Room Bingo
Take turns saying something that's in the room you're currently in. Everyone who also has that in their room gets a point. First person who gets a set number of points wins. We usually went to 10 points, but you can change that.
20 Questions
Choose a person to think of something. Everyone else takes turns asking yes or no questions about the thing. The aim is to guess what the first person is thinking of before you've asked 20 questions. You can change the number of questions or make them unlimited though. This is another other we limited to SSO things.
Eye Spy
Pretty similar to 20 questions. Choose someone to be the Spy. They look around and pick something to be what they spy. It has to be something they can currently see in game. Everyone else takes turns asking questions or guessing what it is they spy.
Story Time
We liked to play this game around a campfire. Choose someone to start. They start telling a story, and then each person takes a turn adding to the story. We limited people to one sentence, or a few words. These stories almost always ended up getting pretty wild!
Two Truths and a Lie
Take turns telling two truths and a lie about yourself and having everyone guess which one is the lie. This one was limited to SSO-themed truths and lies.
Guess Who
Choose someone to be the impersonator. Their job is to dress up as much as they can as someone else. Everyone else has to guess who they dressed up as. We limited who they dress up as to club members one time, and SSO NPCs another. Feel free to set up your own themes and rules!
Duck Duck Goose
Choose someone to be the farmer. Everyone except the farmer get in a circle. The farmer goes around the circle calling everyone a duck by emoting a certain emote at them. At random, they choose a goose by doing a different emote at them. The goose then gets out of the circle and chases the farmer, trying to catch them before they can make it around the circle again and take the goose's spot. Whoever gets around the circle and back to the goose's spot again wins and the loser is now the farmer.
Musical Horses
Choose someone to be the DJ. Everyone else park your horses in a line, except park one horse off to the side so there's less horses than players. The DJ plays music and everyone runs on foot around the horses. The DJ pauses the music at random and everyone scrambles to claim a horse. We claimed horses by standing in front, behind, or underneath them. Whoever is left without a horse is out. Remove one of the horses from the line so there's less horses than players again. Repeat until there is a winner.
I’ve been gone for so long so I’m very confused, who is Chiyo and Jay? New dark riders?? I just see people talking about it but haven’t seen anything about them officially
When they’re out of the saddlebag running next to you they’re tied to the saddlebag and the animation is just them constantly trying to get away and escape
remember when Kris Deltarune ripped their heart out of their chest for some unknown reason and toby fox was like well have fun wondering what that was all about! see you later! and we’re still wondering
