It has been some time since I last wrote a diary entry, but...thankfully, there hasn't been a great deal to report. All has been going smoothly, for the most part.

Strange. I never expected to be blessed with a mundane life after Brennenburg.

Due to the busy affairs of my everyday life, I never really found the time to attend any. However, I certainly wouldn't mind doing so sometime.

I apologize for the… ‘sensitive’ question, but I must ask about one of Alexander’s servants. The ‘brute’. Some sources say there is multiple, but I’ve evidence to believe that there’s only one. If that’s the case, I suppose one could call it the butler, as it was likely the ‘head servant’. Regardless, I hope this does not pose too much strife to you, have a good eve.

I cannot be entirely sure, anonymous sender. I came across one of these beings in the sewers of Brennenburg, and in a few locations around where I found Agrippa.

What do you mean, dear sender? It has been some years since Brennenburg, but not nearly that many. Thanks to my travels with Agrippa and Weyer, I was able to get my hands on this...very interesting contraption, which has allowed me this method of communication.

The cursed date is approaching...the date I lost my memories, and began my path to redemption.

It's never gotten easier to remember, but I suppose that's the point, isn't it? The pain that comes with memory...

I will not forget what I learned about myself in that castle. To remember is to avoid making the same mistakes I once did.

what kind of person do you not get along with very well? i’m sure you’ve met and taught many different people at the university, is there anyone that makes you think ‘ugh, i’d hate to be in their regular social circle?’

To be honest, I am often too busy to ponder on the subject of others' friendships. Of course, there's the odd individual here and there that I'd rather not deal with more than I must, but thankfully, such people tend to be few and far between.

She does not, but the thought has crossed my mind...

However, the power and broad spectrum of futuristic knowledge that this device contains, which makes this correspondence possible...that, is what holds me back.

I have meddled so much in this space-time continuum, that I believe it would be irresponsible to subject Hazel to that as well.

Daniel, have you read about djinns or genies before in any textbooks or leisure reading at the university? if you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for? but you can’t kill anyone, can’t revive the dead, and can’t make people fall in love

I've read about djinns and the like before, certainly! Just for fun leisure, or in stories I've read to Hazel in the past.

I honestly would not wish to have any part in the supernatural again, but if I had to have three wishes...

I would wish for Hazel's illness to be fully cured, a promotion in my career, and to have never encountered the Orb to begin with.

Then again, the whole debacle with the Orb lead to my friendship with Agrippa and Weyer...

Daniel it's so good that you were so protective of Hazel growing up. Many people would just take their anger out on their younger siblings.

I wouldn't even dream of treating Hazel poorly because of our situation. I wanted her to be happy, in spite of the chaos going on around us.
