“Owning your own business seem stressful enough, interior design though, that is quite impressive” he nodded “ Listen I have time, I have some good ears and do not mind listening and doing my best to try to help out in any way even if that is just me lending you an ear”  he could notice the frustration on her “I can take you and your dog for a coffee? I know a place where you can bring your dog”

Natalie sat there, she was trying to get her work done but she also needed to be a good mom, juggling both was hard but she knew she could do it. It wasn’t a problem and it was the life she loved. She looked over at the guy when she realised it was Daniel so she was relieved Daniel hadn’t been angry with Lucas scrambling under his table. He looked over at them as Lucas laughed at Daniel and she smiled as she looked at him, “Honestly, you don’t have to do that, I am almost finished here, but you can come to the park with us if you would like? I am sure Lucas would love you there.”  She wanted to take him up on the offer but  she hated asking for help just because she technically needed it. 

“I don’t have to, but I will do that, because the quicker you are finished the sooner this little man will get to the park “ he smiled “ it is really no problem Nat” Daniel loved kids. His older sibling has a bunch of them. He knew his mother was always reminding him how disappointing she was that he had none in his age. He was thirty three, but all of his siblings got them quite early in their life and had a lot more success when it came to love and family than Daniel. Then again Daniel did not want to fit into their stereotypes and live his own life as it came to him. He sat back down with Lucas on his lap. “Yeah I would love too I have nothing else to do really, I was just gonna grab my coffee and go home”

Hearing the manly voice startled her even though it shouldn’t. It was common for people to be in the park especially around this hour exercising. This further proved how caught up she was in her own mind. Work was really not going her way lately. “Oh no it is fine, it is just work being a bit of a mess” giving the male a friendly smile she shook her head running her hand through her brown hair. “ Thank you, but I am fine, just got to deal with this in my office I suppose, i’m Madelyn by the way” she was not sure the male was even interested in knowing her name, but felt it was the polite thing to do.

San Francisco always was a busy place. It was uncommon for any place there to be unoccupied. Daniel loved it. It gave him more opportunities to get to know people. He was not the most social when he was younger, being too focused on his studies and providing for his family so now when he was older and got everything under control he wanted to make up for all that time. “It is nice to meet you Madelyn, i’m Daniel” he smiled politely “I hope whatever is going on with your work will sort itself out, what do you work with? if you don’t mind me asking, maybe I could help you out?”

As much as Natalie loved not having to be in an office every day, she only had to go in two days a week and the rest of the time she could work anywhere. It worked perfectly for Lucas and childcare was cheaper but sometimes it was harder. As much as he was a smart 4 year old, he was like any 4 year old always needed something to do. She was working on her blog post and her column at the same time in Biscoff Coffee Corner whilst Lucas was drawing something. She started typing before she saw her son under someone’s table, she turned around, “Lucas, you don’t go under other peoples tables do you.” She gestured for him to come back to the table, “I won’t be long and if you behave we can go to the park.” She said looking at him, before at the table of the person he crawled under, “Sorry about that, hope he didn’t disturb you or anything.”  @tbchqstarterblog​

Daniel was enjoying his day off grabbing some coffee from one of the coffee shops he knew off. He usually would brew his own coffee at home, but at times he enjoyed treating himself with a coffee when he could. He made his way and sat down after ordering his coffee tapping his fingers a bit nervously on the table. He hated just sitting and waiting and usually needed something to do. Lucky for him the coffee came real quick, but as he was going to get up he heard a familiar child's laugh under the table smiling as he peeked under “hello there, are you being a little menace?” he smiled lifting him up smiling towards Natalie “do not worry it is just me, how is your chompers little man?” he asked, smiling. He noticed that Natalie was working “ I can look after him while you work if you want, I don’t have anything to do and I don’t mind spending some time with this little fella” he smiled tickling Lucas stomach for a minute.”I will keep him entertained and you can work, you know I don’t mind”

It was usual for Madelyn to get phonecalls during her free time and most of the time she had no issue answering them. She have not managed to get a free day for herself in soon two weeks which was her own fault being the workaholic she is, so when her phone bussed during her morning walk with her dog Milo the one day she had the whole morning free frustration ran over her. She could easily ignore it and call back later, but for some reason her mind seem to work on their own and answer without really thinking. Getting calls for new clients was always fun and would most likely calm her down from her frustration, but lately the only thing that seem to be happening is that something gone wrong or something not adding up to plan. “What the hell do you mean no one is there? are they answering their phone?” at this point she let her dog sniff around as she ran her hand over her forehead with a small groan. “Well, if they do not answer and is not there then leave it, I will try to get in contact with them, hopefully it is just a mishap” as the woman closed her phone she groaned one more time to herself or she thought she was. The noise that she made caught attention of someone else in the park. She gave them a small little wave with a sigh feeling her day was absolutely ruined. @tbchqstarterblog​

It was one of Daniels free days of the week. He had no appointments , but even so he was up early for his morning run. He liked circling the parks in San Francisco since they all was so beautiful. He was just taking a turn as he heard a woman seeming annoyed with a loud groan. He felt awkward when she waved thinking that the woman might of felt he was starring when he shouldn’t. “You okay there?” he asked still catching up with his breath from running across the park. “Do you need help with anything?”

Daniel Lazano was born on a winter night in San Francisco by his mother Juana Lazano and father Miguel Lazano. At that time they had nothing. His parents just moved  from Mexico to the US together with his four other older siblings before he made it to the world. Regardless of his mother and father struggling financially to keep the household together with only his father working they always tried to have a good spirit. They wanted to give the kids a happy upbringing even if it was impossible at times. As the kids became older they all took on a job on the side of school. Daniel had managed to get a job at a local grocery store on the weekends and worked there as much as he could to help his parents.

His siblings moved out pretty quick after they turned eighteen leaving him alone with his parents. Even so they still struggled, but not to the point where Daniel had to give up his studies. Daniel refused to let himself go without an education and wanted a job that he found interesting and that would keep him and his future family without struggle. He was looking to work in the hospital field, but ended up interested in being a dentist. The only issue was that his parents did not have the money for college. Daniel managed to fix this by grabbing the savings from working at the grocery store. Even if he helped his parents he had placed money on the side for himself which was something his parents were not pleased about, but soon forgot when Daniel graduated on the top of the class and got a job as a dentist. He moved from his mother and fathers home in The Mission to his own place in another neighborhood not wanting to leave the city like his siblings did, but refusing to stay in The Mission. Even if they often came to visit and their family relations were tight Daniel always held a grudge to his older siblings for leaving him to take care of their parents.

Daniel does not really look back and think his life was difficult. Sure they struggled, but he would not be the man he is today if he didn’t learn compassion and hard work from growing up in a family in need. Even if he was teased for not being able to get new clothes and toys and having his childhood cut short due to having to help out at home there was no grudge against his parents. He is proud to say he has climbed his way up on his own, having a job he loves and a life worth remembering.
