did perfectionism ever truly protect you from harm or neglect as a child though. ultimately. Lol
[REALLY NORMAL AND WELL-ADJUSTED VOICE] well you never know maybe it COULD have saved me. if i ever actually achieved perfection. it could have happened then. if i was actually ever enough. Which i was not

Smoke and flame swirl around you. Conjured fire is spontaneous, dangerous magic. When set loose by its caster, it is quick to spread and difficult to control. Already a wall of fire flares across the exit. Escape is impossible… For anyone who isn’t a Wayfarer. ➛ 1. You can’t run. Not when innocent people are dying. You have to help. ➛ 2. You don’t owe this city anything. Don’t risk your life when you’re so close to making it out.
WAYFARER is a dark fantasy interactive fiction game. Take the role of a Wayfarer, a mercenary from a dying order of warriors marked by their immunity to magic, and explore a world of cutthroat politics, chaos, and danger.
Customize your protagonist, including their ancestry, origin, and appearance
Navigate hundreds of branching choices—every action, big or small, matters
Develop relationships with a cast of diverse characters and factions
Enjoy a highly re-playable experience, with over 900,000 words of epic adventure in the current demo

Which OC has this hat?
Leila Chatti, “I Too Was Worthy,” in Wildness Before Something Sublime
“Tact, like empathy, is based on a certain form of mutual understanding. But while empathy implies the idea of entering someone else’s mind inasmuch as it is linked to the presumption that ‘I know how you feel’, tact exists to create a form of bonding between individuals that is not based on the idea of intrusion but, conversely, on the respect for existing boundaries, and on a willingness not always to assume that one knows. While empathy requires resonance and proximity, tact is there to restore distance, and to accept the difference between the individuals involved in order to protect and preserve their dignity. Tact is based on an attention towards otherness.”

i think my favorite ff14 narrative gimmick is that the savage raid unlocks are explicitly just the WOL having adhd daydreams about the cool shit they've done. the omega raids are even explicitly about cid trying to put on an ASMR tibetan meditation spotify playlist to calm them down but the WOL is unmedicated so it really only makes the problem worse
and, reflecting the long-lasting medicative effects of xibruq pibil, the arcadion savages require someone else to draw it for you
tbf whenever anyone draws fanart of anything i've done i immediately go into a similar frenzy so this makes sense to me
no rest for me and im not even that wicked ?
Okay now I'm seeing so many cold weather glams on my dash...

Watching my knight absolutely destroy an enemy knight and I mean like completely obliterating the poor guy and then have him turn around, blood all over his armour, just to look at me and waiting for my praise.
look i know that the patron deities they make you pick in character creation for ffxiv are purely aesthetic at this point but i did just realize that i’ve been thinking of oriane basically picking a confirmation saint
(it’s halone for her midsummer-born ass, fwiw. tiny tomboy elezen with poor impulse control hears about the fury during lessons and doesn’t wait for an answer.)
whoo boy
ok heavensward. make me cry AGAIN. no worries
Everyone who plays around with Tarot cards long enough winds up with a “bad” card that they love. I just barely persuaded my husband not to get the Ten of Swords tattooed on his body; traditionally, it shows a corpse with ten swords stuck in their body and means “utter ruin,” but he thought that if it took ten swords to kill you, then you must have put up a pretty good fight.
honestly this is the most badass ten of swords interpretation i've ever heard. i'm stealing this
WIZARD TIP: They will run out of swords eventually.
Having a blorbo is SO wonderful bc you get free joy for thinking about them being happy but also free joy for thinking about them being miserable. No losing
