Darren looked at their hands, then back at Danika. “Yeah, well… I guess I can take a small break.”

Danika smiled. “Alrighty then. What are we doing this time?”

Not this close to finals.  If anything I don’t have time to relax.

Danika sighed. “You’ve been studying 24/7, you can relax for a little while.”

Darren shook his head. “I can’t, finals are happening too soon.”

Danika grabbed Darren’s hands. “Calm down. You’ve studied harder than anyone I know, you’ll be fine.”

“I don’t think I take myself too seriously.” Cade pulled out a cigarette as he walked behind a couple of bushes. “Sometimes you have to be serious.”

Danika shrugged her shoulders. “Yeah, but you don’t have to be all the time.”

“I think I do alright, actually. Thanks for that, though. Your permission changed everything.”

Danika made a face. “I was being friendly, no need to snap at me. Rude.” She scoffed.

Max sat down on the comfy couch in the common room while she sat in the chair, he leaned back a moment then turned to look at her after she asked her questions, “Huh? Uhm,” he began to blush lightly because of his bashful nature. He nodded with a warm smile, “Yeah - there is.. I - uh - went on a date the other day with Bethany..” he swallowed. “What about you?”

Danika smiled broadly. “Bethany ey? She’s a nice girl. I think you two will make it far together.” She predicted. “Well that is, if you like her?” Danika’s voice raised as a question, and cocked an eyebrow.

Danika smiled. “It’s because I’m a pretty girl, but I’m glad you say so.”

“You take yourself too seriously, it’s OK to relax sometimes.”

“Danika, have you seen yourself? Youare telling me that I am one of the prettiest girls in this school and you are drop dead goregous. I look like half the time that I am mad at people cause my eyes.”

Danika smiled. “Well of course I am, I’m half veela, so I was born having no choice but to be this way, if I wasn’t then I would be faulty, but you’re just naturally pretty.”

“I…you are going over the top. No one is jealous of me, Danika. I am not that pretty.”

Danika chuckled. “You’re too modest, you’re one of the prettiest girls at this school.”

Albert knew he was stalling but in a way he was thankful that she made the first move because she actually knew what she was doing. His eyes closed immediately when their lips finally touched, after a moment he even opened them to make sure this was actually happening. He closed them again before he pressed his lips slightly more against hers. Seeing that he didn’t know what else to do he figured that would be a pretty good start.

‘Alright. Good start.’ Danika thought to herself. ‘Now let’s get him to actually do something.’ She started moving her mouth, just a little bit, enough so he could understand what was going on and hopefully follow along, that’s all kissing was anyway, follow the leader.

“Why would I do that? I’m not really a mocker about things that really matter.”

“OK, well the thing is... I’ve never hated relationships. I never really thought they were silly, I want to be in one, quite bad really, but I just KNOW I’m going to end up hurting the other person. I’m going to fuck it up because that’s what I do. I don’t want to do that, and I’ve never brought it up before because I never had anyone in mind but more recently... Things change. I just....” Danika sighed. “It’s foolish, really.”

Albert appreciated that she didn’t treat him like he was stupid in all this. He looked at her when she put her hands on his shoulders, nodding slightly and realizing how crazy all of this was. His thoughts were jumbled, “A-And you.. just..?” He asked as their faces got closer together, his nervousness keeping him from actually doing it.

Danika understood he was nervous, but at this rate she knew it would never happen if she didn’t make the first move. She leaned in the rest of the way, closing the gap between their faces. She didn’t do anything else for a moment, to avoid freaking him out completely, she could tell he was already going crazy and didn’t want to add to it.

Albert blinked as he was dragged into the nearest empty classroom, looking around before he carefully set his books down. “I-I don’t.. even k-know where to b-begin.” He admitted in a flustered manner.

Danika put her hand on her hip. “Well luckily, you have a professional here who does in fact know where to start!” She said, putting her hands on his shoulders. “Okay so this is gunna be pretty simple. Just lean in and....” She said leaning in herself.
