Retouching Blueprint of a Beauty Portrait
The purpose of a beauty retouch is to enhance details that are already present as well as smooth skin tones and textures. Later a color grade is sometimes applied. This is different than an edit where generally the photog makes a few adjustments most likely in Lightroom, Raw or Capture One, then dropping a filter either created by the photog for batch editing multiple images or a purchased preset.
Below the final image is my Retouching Blueprint to show the pen strokes of the main layers to a retouch.
