A sleepy dog is a sleepy dog. I couldn't resist this shot of a dhole (Indian Wild Dog), curled up for a snooze on a rock and perfectly framed by the trees in its enclosure at the Bronz Zoo in New York. It looked no different than my own dog when he takes a nap in a sunny spot. Shot on a Canon AE-1 Program mounted on a flexible-leg tripod that I set up on a fence. I used the self-timer to let the camera still before it took the shot. A wading bird at Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I need a little help on this one. I think it's a young great blue heron, but its colors seemed much more brown than gray or slate blue like on the adults. There were several of these around the reserve.
