jeremy trying to go off to another man during one of his anxious moments where he just needs a quick lay, except jean refuses to let him leave. jean crowds him against the apartment door and jeremy stares at him, stunned. “jean, watch out,” he tries, but jean refuses to budge. “no,” jean tells him, and jeremy looks a little frustrated. “I’ll be back soon,” jeremy promises, pushing gently at jean. he’s rewarded with jean taking his wrist and carefully pinning it to his side, gray eyes looking down at jeremy. “none of us will have to worry about when you’ll be back if you simply do not leave,” jean says matter of factly. jeremy frowns. “jean, it’s fine,” he starts to say. “it is not,” jean says instead. they stare at each other and jeremy sighs. “jean, let me go,” he says. and this is jean, not one of those other men, so of course he does let jeremy go at his request. but the frenchman also then proceeds to rest his forearms on the door on either side of jeremy’s head, his body pressed as close to jeremy’s as possible without touching; not pinning jeremy but still effectively caging him in. it makes every single hair on jeremy’s arms stand on end. brown eyes stare up at jean and the electric charge in the air is almost enough to rival back in their hotel room pre-banquet. jeremy’s mouth is totally dry under the weight of jean’s gaze and when he tries again to move, to squirm, to leave- jean presses a careful knee between jeremy’s, not quite close enough to brush his groin but just close enough to make jeremy mentally swear because holy shit, jean really is pinning him to this door right now. jeremy knows it’s so that he won’t go off to another man who might hurt him; he knows that jean is just looking out for him, or attempting to. but the hungry look in jean’s eyes says something a little different, and so does the raspiness in the frenchman’s voice when he leans down a little farther to speak, putting their faces only inches apart. jeremy’s heart is hammering away in his chest and for a moment he thinks that jean might be about to kiss him. jean definitely wants to. but even if his desire and need for jeremy grows more and more every day, he still has some sense of self control and discipline. so instead of bridging the gap between their mouths, jean settles for very quietly murmuring “jeremy. please stay.”
