this town was suffocating. lux had always thought so even as a child, and being stuck here was her own personal hell some to fruition. she had been about to get out. she had been so close and then it was ripped away from her.
lux lay on a bench in havensdale park, passing the time away like she always did. there needed to be something to entertain her and she'll be damned before she would have anything to do with the magic box.

danny was very careful when he was above ground. he didn't need to be told twice, he understood the dangers posed up here to a mcreid better than anyone. his trips topside were often short and sweet, and he was focused on the task at hand. he'd finished doing a sweep of lua harvelle's perimeter when he cut back through the park and saw lux morrison. danny was no shrink, but it looked like she was in full existential crisis mode. he approached carefully, clearing his throat first before pulling on an easy grin.
"ah, c'mon, lux. it can't be all that bad, can it? you know you can always come down and visit me any time. something to look forward to," he teased.
