This is Dante poks, a human priest from the church , wich when asked says he is part of the sincretism between the divine and something weird he calls the plan, wich was why he was sent here? He spents most of his time in the confessional he made, welcoming anyone to confess their sins, especially after concluding vampires have a soul. He is weirldy nonchalant about the existence of the supernatural, even one he espicitiy calls unhortodox, including the mention of a weird family curse he has?.

I just imagine that when everyone gets trapped in oakhurst and the hole drama begins nuves would just be chilling and trying desperately to make some more friends, especially with the fellow animals of the town.

Also I just imagine nuves having a horrible sense of humour and comedic timing, due to them never really having had a lot of social interactions.

In the cannon blog, new oakhurst au Dante poks is a character with a lot of differences. The question is more based on the fact that, if the claim is true, then other angels may or may have not have revealed it to church higher ups.

ok so for the new Oakhurst au the angel would probably not have changed and still be on the idea that nonhuman=evil

How woudl Nuves react to someone wich can talk and understand him and other animals for clearly supernatural reasons?

They would believe that that person was a vampire and never be convinced otherwise, because only vampires can understand bats no exceptions. Would also claim that person as their best friend and talk their ear off and occasionally bring them vampire food out of affection.

Dante would probably start trying to clear up the misunderstanding to them, but would probably give up after seeing his his stubborness, treating him as an informant at the start with it probably growing in a genuine friendship with time . Also, this probably means that Dante is the "unfortunate resident", right?

How woudl Nuves react to someone wich can talk and understand him and other animals for clearly supernatural reasons?

So, the Dante poks in the new oakhurst au is very different:

First of all, the mission for why he was sent here by the church in this au is to investigate the demonic corruption caused by avid death, wich is fully official so he is honest about his true identity as a high demonologist from the start, even if the true mission is only revealed on a need to know basis;

This doesn't mean this Dante doesn't have secrets he hides, even having two: the first was that he used to be a exorcists and a pyramid agent(the pyramid is the conspiracy all poks consistantly talk about) that did a lot of things he regrets now while letting a lot of actual evil slide, changing position as a demonologist when he turned into a divine plannist by betraying his boss after they broke the last straw in an hunt against rogue werewolves. The second secret is that he is a sanctioned werewolf himself, wich he mostly uses to communicate with all kinds of animals, especially wolves, but he can transform into one if he is really desperate.

This means that this version of Dante is a lot more ruthless in his objectives, but also a lot more obsessed with redemption and understanding at the same time.

"Hello, Priest." Fern greets as a whisper on the wind, choosing to keep where they are on their perch in the tree, and using their magic to speak from such a distance.

"I see you're keeping yourself busy."

"Yes, I need to be when my predictions about Avid happened when I was away and when the false angel shows up" dante says, pointing to the two of them "but at least Avid is very clearly not possesed and the false angel doesn't seem to be planning something" before pointing his eyes to your voice general direction "by the way, do you know when Avid came back from death, and did the false angel say anything to you?"

Fern takes a moment to mull over the question before replying, still using the wind, "Avid came back a little while after the barrier broke, and for that... Angel."

The priest can hear and see a few of the trees around him bristle in Fern's dislike.

"Let's just say I've had a brief encounter with them, and they do not seem to be someone who sees others as more than just their species and beliefs as far as I can tell."

"Way earlier than my predictions" the old demonologist mutters to himself when you confirm the period where Avid came back. When you mention the false angel, Dante sighs "that is the reason I think it's a demon. If it only cared about beliefs, or cared about both but still gave beliefs a bigger priority, it could actually be a particularly zealous angel, but the fact it cares more about curses and species seems like a plan to lure them to sins than something a being so close to the divine could believe"

Avid does notice his touch, though he doesn't mind. He follows his lead with dancing, trying his hardest to mimic what he does.

"Ah, that's probably for the best then!"

His voice is cheery.

As Avid says this, the dance does become an easier, tough still standard and elegant, as the fact that Avid mimicking is neither eccellent or incompetent is yet anither proof he isn't possesed "oh, sorry for the fact I haven't introduced myself yet. She snaked behind him, looking over his shoulder to asses the pair. If they didn't know better the two could be presumed an angel and demon, such foolish thoughts should have been gone years ago, everyone is struggling through life the very same. Let them eat, cake be damned.

It didn’t take long for the host to notice one of their guests half-hidden in the shadows. It didn’t take long either for her to be right behind him, looking over his shoulder.

“Good evening,” she greeted him calmly, the faintest hint of curiosity piercing through her voice. “Dante, is it not?”

"Dante Poks, yes" the priest says, only looking at her for an instant before focusing on the two "You are Ama Mcfaye, host of this celebration, right? In that case, could I ask you two questions about some of the guests?" he says, while keeping noting down stuff

”That’s me indeed,” she confirmed with a short smile. She looked at his notes, her brows furrowing for a moment before she took the time to answer his question. “You may ask your questions, though I give you no guarantee that I will hold the answers.”

The notes are about Avid and the angel, and the worlds the priests lets you read before he hides the notes from you are something about perfect illusions for the angel and something about not being possesed by the demonic corruption for Avid. He then asks the questions "Do you know when Avid came back from the grave? And, if the false angel starts a fight with their insults towards vampires, how do you plan on stopping him?

“I know not when Avid rose back from the grave,” she started calmly, her gaze moving from Dante, to Avid, to the angel and back to the demonologist. “As for your second question, I wouldn’t worry. I have my ways of preventing and deescalating conflicts.”

The shadow stepped around him and gave him a sharp smile, not enough to be truly threatening, but just enough to be… convincing.

While Dante reflects at your first answer, You notice that the angel is staring back at him "in that case, I should warn you of something: if my theories are trues, and it is a demon as powerful as I suspect, then it is probably able to mess with your perception, so keep that in mind"

Instead of answering, Ama just let out a long hum. She tilted her head to the side and straightened her back, her hands crossed behind her back. “Noted,” she said calmly. “Though, pray tell, what evidence are these theories based on?”

"It claims to be an angel, but someone I talked confirmed that it keeps saying to vampires that they will go on hell purely because they are vampires despite the fact that you clearly have an immortal soul and free will, so it very clearly isn't an angel . A non demonic false god wouldn't waste their time doing that, so the most likely answer is that it's a demon trying to lead vampires to damnation by convincing them they are already damned. However, it doesn't show any of the tipical signs of a shapesifting demons, and any demon wich is skilled enough to hide all of these signs while taking the form of an angel would have been better at manipulating people. Therefore, illusions, wich don't need as much skill to hide their more obvious signs, but to have illusions this strong it must be a powerful, even if not particularly skilled, demon"

being undead defies the natural order of His creation, which is enough cause to go to hell

While undeath is inherently a curse, if a simple curse was enough to be damned then I would have not been capable to serve the divine, and If being a vampire was that much unholy and you were truly an angel then they wouldn't have been capable to stand in your presence no matter how much you limited it" as he says this, you notice some very powerful darkness sourround, but not corrupt, his soul. You very quicly realize it most likely comes from some ancient family curse, and you notice the priest hands becoming paler as a secondary effect.
