Welp... Kendrick fulfilled his destiny of destroying Drake and "watching the party die." Because now the one thing he loves is suffering from the aftermath. Now the damage is irreversible.
Rap is dead in the mainstream. This decade has failed to produce superstars and so many of the current big names are people that debuted in the 2000s and 2010s.
And let me address the elephant in the room as a hip hop head (I'm going to keep it real here. I think there's definitely a difference between hip hop and rap. Hip hop refers to more than just the art and the music. It refers to the culture and the style and sound. Rap is the act): I feel that a lot of the newer rappers just are not impressive skill wise, and overall are not very compelling as artists. And that translates to limited replay value. It's also oversaturated as hell due to the low barrier of entry.
Also I think people have moved on to other genres of music. The genre didn't innovate much in the last fifteen years, and there's more exciting stuff going on elsewhere.
Edit: Billboard and mainstream success should not be seen as the metric for quality when it comes to music. And even as it tapers off in the mainstream, it will always exist in the underground.
I’m glad. Stop getting your taste from the charts and listen to the music. Drake been spoon feeding the masses appetizers from 2010 - 2019. If you think rap is dead it’s because you was never really listening. Rap don’t need superstars. Rap needs fans who buy concert tickets and buy albums.
I’m sucking on that Coochie til my nose clogs up I can’t breathe but I need her to squirt and cum. Cry for me baby.

i'm going to make a life i love even if it's not the one i expected or thought i wanted. and i am going to let myself be proud and grateful of what i do have. i am allowed to be proud of it without other people realizing the gravity of what i have accomplished in scale to my life and abilities. i do not need permission.
Stay genuine & everything will naturally reciprocate or remove itself.
