On Shopping While Fat 2: Son of Fat
I feel the same way. Itās amazing.
The only thing I would add is that, as a fat person, I feel both invisible and hyper visible. People stare at me all the time. I donāt get catcalled, but I getĀ āfat calledā and any time I go to the grocery store, people criticize what I have in my cart. If I get salad, people say things likeĀ āgood for youā orĀ āwho do you think youāre fooling?ā If I getĀ āunhealthyā food, people tell meĀ āthis is why youāre fatā and other stuff. Reclaiming my image has been powerful. If I like how I look, I donāt care what other people think. Of course the fat phobia still hurts, though.
