Zine Queens Vol. 2
Zine Queens is back and ready to make your zine dreams come true! Zine Queens Vol. 2: The Library Is Open will be a zine fest for queer and trans folks to showcase their work, talent, creativity, and magic. As an event, Zine Queens exists to create a space for zine writers and artists that are often invisibilized and ostracized in the punk, hardcore, and DIY scene. Zine Queens is for the sad gay boys, for the angry girls, for the soft butches and hard femmes, for the non-binary cuties, for the lonely queer punks, for the black and brown babies, for the trans women of color that we must support, for the struggling artists, for the divas, for the underground drag queens, for the band that you’re trying to start, for the girls in the pit, for the weirdos, for the freaks, for the losers, for the cry babies, for the younger ‘you’, for your broken heart, for the times your straight crush never kissed you, for your voice, for your place in this universe. Zine Queens is for you. To apply, please fill out this form: https://goo.gl/IINimi
Your heartbreak is not the most important event in the world. Still there are people getting up to start their days, driving to work, making dinner. You think your pain is so loud that it could stop traffic. But know that there is a healing in your insignificance. Your missing them will not stop the highway buzz outside the window. And so? Isn’t there satisfaction in knowing they are not the world? You look for their face everywhere, but no one else sees it.

I can’t fit them all into one post so the rest can be found on my blog! They are so fun to do that I will probably keep drawing and adding new ones to the collection forever.
This punk band from the 80s is so sick the little girl singing is named Venus and it’s her mom on bass and her dad on keyboard and drum machine. In an interview she said “I used to sleep in my dad’s bass drum when I was a toddler” haha so cute
Oh my god the band that sings “BEER”! I’ve been trying to figure that one out for a while now. Thanks @babbystrange
I feel like society really pressures you to choose one gender, and that’s not how it works. I mean, a lot of transsexuals or transgender people that I know have gotten full gender reassignment surgery and then regretted it because they felt this pressure to be passable. I mean, passing privilege is such a real concept and people don’t think about it - people just want to be normal. It’s OK to not be normal, and I think there needs to be more representation of that gray area.
