hi everyone! this is kind of a self promotion kind of thing. i’ve started a new blog - dumplingart.tumblr.com

i’m a fine arts student and i love drawing but haven’t drawn for myself in a long time because all my time is taken up by making work that my lecturers want, really. so i’ve decided to get back into what i want because this year i’ve become so drained with my degree and need to get back into what i want to do, for me, not for others.

because i don’t have much purpose with what to draw, and i’m still trying to really get anatomy and such down because my favourite thing to draw is people, i’ll be drawing and posting images of what i have photos of and adding some song lyrics alongside them because i listen to shit tons of music when i draw and that kind of directs me to take photos of what i imagine would pair well.

ok like i just have to say this

i know nancy is pretty shitty and like probes people way too much about death like SAW and often brings her moms death into conversation out of the blue

but honestly one of the most comforting things when you’ve lost a parent is to hear someone tell you “i’ve also lost [insert parent here]” because you can both understand grief and it’s like a weird connection you can have with this person like if nancy told me that i would instantly open up more because yaass bitch we have shared experiences that are really shitty

obviously there’s a time and place for everything but, like, it’s sometimes nice to just know someone feels the same pain you do

while i know it’s disappointing that we haven’t heard much of anything yet, i hardly think there’s some conspiracy going on with herinteractive. they wouldn’t have bothered to release character art if they weren’t planning on releasing the game at some point, and it’s not like they’re a group of evil geniuses directly aiming to disappoint life long fans by stringing us along only to say “lol, nevermind! we spent tons of time and money in developing this but we’re not ever releasing it! try codes and clues instead!”

and honestly, i think it’s kind of shitty to take that attitude towards it and harass them about it on social media. yes, it sucks that we haven’t heard much. yes, we should’ve had two games by now. i get the frustration!

but hell, things change and maybe…just maybe…they’re really busy. and it makes all of us look like whiny, entitled brats when people repeatedly try to call them out on fb/twitter/etc. over the same things every time they post something. chill out a little, ok? it’s not like companies can’t develop things simultaneously.
