Flo bent over, rummaging through her bag in front of the university library. She had tried going to sleep, forgetting about the diary until she could look for it the next day. Tossing and turning in bed, sleep never came and so she got dressed and left her apartment. That was how she found herself in the position she was in now: standing outside in the cold at 3 am. With a sigh, she groaned, tugging at the strands of her blonde hair. “Come on.” The door was locked, but she tried it again. That was when a light flashed on, flooding her view. “It’s not what it looks like.” Florence held her hands up in the air, spinning around to show that she wasn’t hiding anything. “I promise…well, actually…what does it look like?” She asked. The last thing she needed was to incriminate herself and worry her mother.
It took him some time to reach the university, texting his friend to let him know that he hadn’t seen their dog up until that very moment. It was the only reason why Dario was awake, the fear of going through that situation and almost losing Zeus made him unable to sleep. And then, he saw her. “Florence Hart, you’re in big trouble,” he tried to use a lower tone than his one, it was just for the sake of scaring his friend, before he found himself chuckling. “I don’t know, you tell me. I mean-- in the end, I shouldn’t be here as well, a neighbor of mine lost their dog and I’m helping, well me and Zeus,” he pointed at his own dog which didn’t bark at Flo, since he was used to her. “Do you need anything? I don’t have the keys right now, but I could grab it for you tomorrow morning.”

Emilia enjoyed her job as much as anyone could enjoy working retail. The boutique was charming, and her hours were convenient; her boss was more than understanding when things came up. It just wasn’t what Emilia wanted to do with the rest of her life. … not that Emilia had any idea of what she actually wanted to do with her life. In many ways, she felt stuck – stuck in Port Briar, stuck in place, stuck in just about every which way. The few changes to her routine were cherished. They were simple ways to add excitement to a life that she’d chosen for herself simply by necessity. Today was one of those days where she absolutely needed to stray from that routine. After finishing up at work, she made her way to the docks and stopped at Scooper Doo for a treat. Getting in line, she stirred up the courage to make small talk with the person in front of her. “Crazy that it hasn’t gotten that cold yet, isn’t it? I mean, it snowed by this time last year, didn’t it?”
He was checking his phone over when he heard someone talking to him. Her question got him pensative, at first, prior to finally answering it. “Are you going to hate me if I say that I really don’t remember? But it’s sort of cold to me, not too cold but I prefer when it’s Summer. Maybe because I take some time to visit my parents and Santa Monica or, even Cuba is warmer than this,” he chuckled. Though, he wasn’t lying. Any free time he had, Dario would make sure to leave the city and head straight to meeting his family, even if Port Briar offered it as well. “But I’ll say that you’re right for the sake that you probably have a better memory than I do. What are you ordering?”
aiyla erdoğan:
aiyla nodded her head. “ no problem! something to celebrate our victory tonight, you know? ” she reached into her pocket, pulling out her wallet and placing the correct money on the counter for the beer he had just ordered. “ keep the change. ” she told the bartender, smiling as he gave a cheers. she grabbed her own drink, holding up to join him in his cheers. “ cheers! ” she took a sip of her drink. “ and i will consider letting you buy me the next round, if there is one. ” although she was having a lot of fun, her intention wasn’t really to get drunk. so, she knew she’d be getting a bottle of water soon to keep herself sober. “ glad to see you’re enjoying yourself! ”
▬
"I kind of wish there were more victories here and then, anything that gets me to get to know more people is something worth celebrating. I’m just wondering if next week's work will be easier or not. I’m sure students will be experiencing sobriety for the first time after long nights of drinking and having fun,” which he couldn’t judge. He’d be doing the same if he was in their shoes. “Ah,” he pretended to be hurt, his hand pressing against his chest alongside a chuckle that resonated from his mouth. “Come on! Allow me to offer you a treat, maybe something to eat or drink, you name it! There’s no need for your choice to be a beer!” The company was what mattered, it was usually what he was searching for. “It almost feels like all of the energy gets to us, they’re happy and we get too eventually.” That’s how he felt, at least.
Tammy Thompson. I wanted her to look at me. But… she couldn’t pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair. And I didn’t understand, because you would get bagel crumbs all over the floor. And you asked dumb questions. And you were a douchebag. And- And you didn’t even like her and… I would go home… and just scream into my pillow.

Dario and his puppy eyes could honestly get anything (or maybe almost anything) out of Kitty, but if she was still standing there and he was still breathing properly, then that meant she didn’t actually mind it. Damn, those puppy eyes. “As long as you’re the one who keeps the drinks coming, I promise to be on my best behavior.” Ever since their last trip to this particular bar on a karaoke night, Kitty hadn’t exactly been the biggest fan of this place, yet, here she was. Whoever dared saying she wasn’t a good friend was too much of a damn liar. “You’ll also let me dogsit your child.” She said, basically threatening him while holding onto her phone.
His question made her roll her eyes at the thought. “Babe. Look at me. Do I look like someone who has any type of stage fright?”
▬
He chuckled. “Alright-- just let me know what you’d like to drink for the night, and your wish is my command.” Pampering his friends was a thing and it wouldn’t change with Kitty; whom he was glad that he formed a friendship with. Sometimes Dario had this point of view that Kitty knew him even better than himself. “You already want to steal Zeus from me? Outragious! You know that he’ll cry and miss me all too much and when you least expect, you’ll be calling me asking me to come back and pick him up.” He winked, finally getting to the door and keeping it open for Kitty to get inside the bar.
“So, what are you singing, then? I need to be prepared to appreciate you on top of that stage.”
eddy gilbert:

“Are you kidding me? Mad?” Eddy scoffed, rubbing his hands together with obvious mischievous intent. “I’d be mad if I didn’t get to see this.” It was one thing to overhear his roommate singing in the shower, and a very different one to see him perform on stage. Eddy hadn’t realised they’d been looking forward to such a thing until they were stood right there outside of the bar, ready and waiting. “As long as I don’t have to do any Christmas songs, I’m all good. Consider that you’re final warning,” he insisted with an arch of his eyebrow, half-joking.
▬
"But if you use this against me, I’ll be heartbroken. The foundation of this friendship-- broken.” He stated, though the grin over his lips was offering a different scenario. How could he be mad at Eddy? Impossible. It was one of the reasons why this friendship worked so effortlessly, Dario felt like himself around Eddy. “Ah-- see? Now, that’s sad. Not even some ‘Let it Snow by Frank Sinatra’?” Just one attempt that didn’t last for too long. “Okay, okay! I’ll respect that, we’ll get some drinks and just see what you’ll end up singing. And how was your day, by the way?”

with the final score displayed on the screen, the place was filled with cheers and claps from those around her. whitby university beats maine. that was definitely going to be the news headline for the next few days or so. a valiant effort from the opposing team, but in the end, they were simply no match for the town favorite around here. aiyla sported the colors of the team - navy and orange - and she wore them proudly. to celebrate the win, she decided to do a kind deed. walking up to the bar, she smiled and looked directly at the bartender. “ hi! uh, whatever they want to order, i’ll pay for! ” for no reason other than to celebrate the victory of whitby over maine (and the fact that a random act of kindness could go a long way). @portbriarstarters
He was taken over by the competitive spirit from the moment students started to talk about it over the week by the university. And, of course, he wanted whitby university to win! Like every other person within that room, so when it did happen, Dario felt compelled to hug everyone nearby him as well as enjoy the rest of the day drinking with strangers and friends, welcoming whoever wanted to be part of said celebration. He just wasn’t expecting someone to, willingly, offer him a free drink. “Ah, only if I can buy you the next round or else I’ll feel bad. But, hey, either way-- thank you!” He wanted a beer, which was exactly what he ordered. “Cheers, to this amazing game and to this night, right?”
