ㅤ⮡ㅤi   would   say   that   a   sound   jacaerys   probably   finds   peaceful   is   his   mother's   voice.   he   is   such   a   mama's   boy;   i   can   see   rhaenyra   singing   him   to   sleep   in   high   valyrian   when   he   was   a   babe.   i   would   add   the   laughter   of   his   siblings   &   baela's   voice   to   this   list   too,   just   because   i   think   listening   to   those   he   loves   is   what   grounds   (?)   him   and   reminds   him   he   doesn't   have   to   be   vigilant   at   all   times.

ㅤ⮡ㅤthis   was   a   tough   one,   but   ultimately   i   think   something   jace   struggles   with   admitting   or   even   acknowledging   is   weakness.   he   wants   so   much   to   be   of   use   to   his   family   and   to   prove   himself   a   worthy   heir   to   the   people   who   believe   in   the   black's   claim.   he   would   never   openly   admit   his   weaknesses   to   anyone   because   he   thinks   a   prince   &   most   importantly   an   heir   to   the   iron   throne   has   to   be   strong   and   politically   intelligent   if   he   wants   his   reign   to   be   long   and   prosperous.

ㅤ⮡ㅤwhen   he   was   a   little   boy   jacaerys   suffered   a   lot   because   of   the   accusations   of   his   parentage   and   that   of   his   little   brothers.   i   think   he   knew   from   a   young   age   that   he   was   seen   as   different   for   not   possessing   the   valyrian   traits   other   children,   like   his   uncles   and   aunt,   had,   and   this   led   to   a   feeling   of   self-consciousness   that   rooted   deep   in   his   mind.   i   think   then   that   his   favourite   lie   could   be   that   he   is   truly   laenor   velaryon's   son   and   not   ser   harwin's;   better   when   it   comes   from   his   grandfather   viserys   or   his   mother   trying   to   defend   him,   lucerys   &   joffrey.   he   knows   this   most   likely   isn't   true,   but   he   grew   to   be   proud   of   his   targaryen   side   and   focus   on   this   rather   than   what   other   people   think.   still,   from   time   to   time,   he   likes   to   hear   it.

ㅤ⮡ㅤdefinitely   being   disrespectful   about   someone   he   loves   or   cares   about   deeply.   jacaerys   doesn't   tolerate   any   mistreatment   of   his   family,   especially   his   mother   and   brothers.   he,   like   rhaenyra,   is   fiercely   protective   of   his   kin   and   hates   when   lies   are   spread   about   them.   it   is   well   known   that   when   someone   defies   a   member   of   his   family   or   threatens   them,   jace   doesn't   stand   idly.

ㅤ⮡ㅤi   don't   think   jace   sees   it   as   a   matter   of   being   worthy   or   not   of   the   love   he   receives;   he   just   appreciates   it?   he   grew   up   with   a   loving   mother   and   brothers   who   have   his   back,   was   given   a   dragon   who   looks   after   him   and   protects   him   at   all   times,   and   was   betrothed   to   a   fierce   girl   who   would   go   to   war   for   him.   if   anything,   i   think   jace   sees   the   love   he   gets   as   a   response   &   product   of   his   own,   because   he   fully   reciprocates   those   feelings.

ㅤ⮡ㅤthis   might   seem   obvious,   but   jace   always,   alwaaaays   carries   his   sword   around   with   him.   as   a   little   kid,   he   learned   the   art   of   combat   quickly,   and   a   blade   is   his   way   of   showing   he   went   from   a   baby   who   sparred   with   wooden   swords   to   a   man   capable   of   protecting   not   only   himself   but   others   too.   he   is   proud   of   his   journey   and   the   things   he   has   accomplished   as   a   person   and   as   a   prince.   i   also   fully   believe   that   if   his   mother,   brothers   or   baela   were   to   give   him   something,   he   would   carry   it   around   like   a   prize.
