Hope is a fickle, dangerous thing. It steals your focus and aims it toward the possibilities instead of keeping it where it belongs - on the probabilities. || Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
This man is absolutely smitten, only Xaden Riorson is capable of simping, giving himself a pep talk all the while schooling himself about boundaries 😭

Killian Jones is, hands down, the easiest character to be a fan of. I have never seen a character have as much meaningful development as he has. I have never been more proud of a character like I have been of Killian Jones on multiple occasions. He started as a bit of an ass (a loveable ass, but still an ass), as a villain (a morally grey villain, but still one nonetheless), and along the way has become an honorable, loving, integral part of the hero group and did it because he wanted to be a better person. He doesn’t do things now to benefit himself. He does them because they are what a good man would do. He goes out of his way to right his wrongs, even wrongs he wasn’t in control of, and he doesn’t shirk his responsibility for his bad deeds. He outwardly apologizes to those he did bad to and he doesn’t expect forgiveness and understands that even if he does get forgiveness, it doesn’t mean his journey for redemption is over.
He is a gentleman and a hero and yet never shies way from the fact that he’s still a pirate - he can be both and he accepts the good and the bad in himself and is truly trying to be the best person he can.
were you his boy? were you his number one boy?
