me: a mixture of every character i ever read before, not complaining tbh

sometimes, i have no motivation to do anything. i don't want to study, to clean, to do laundry, to reply to texts, to charge my phone, to eat, to even go to the bathroom.

but then, other days, im do motivated. i get a spark of ideas, and i can write a whole book, make orange juice that can last me a week, do all my laundry, study for FUN, exercise for FUN.

and then go back to being unmotivated.

but then i open tumblr, and the dark academia guides, and book recommendations, and the cottagecore recipes, and pretty skirts inspo, all that gives me faith that i can do something. even if its just writing a tumblr post, after a week and a half of not postings.

im very weird and idk where i was going with this post to be honest, but i just wanted to say this i guess, idk.

learn latin, french, greek or italian

study everywhere you go, but only if you're genuinely interested in the subject

always have a book with you

rewatch dead poets society 374673 times to the point where you memorise all the words

dress very academically, on every occasion ever

they can really make you feel things. they're so beautiful, with each metaphor, you feel closer to the person who wrote it, even if you dont even know WHO wrote it.

i just realised how dark academia is in most peoples everyday life. always wanting to learn something new? dark academia. reading until 3 am cus ur bored and ur hooked? dark academia. listening to music in the bath with only candles lighting the bathroom? dark academia.

i want to be a “never sleeps after 12 am, cleans their room everyday, aces all their exams, is always productive and organised” person, but instead im a “is never productive before 3 am, sleeps when the sun rises, wakes up at like 4 pm, never cleans their room except every 3 months or sth, never wears anything other than sweats and gets a B in everything” person :(

i wish there was a library next to me that i can go to in my free time to read about poetry or astronomy, or to study peacefully, but all i have are cafes that 13 year olds go to and scream at the top of their lungs for a few hours then leave just for another similar group to come in

read whatever the fuck you want. whether its fanfiction, the secret history, percy jackson, if you want to read it, then read it. dont be pressured to read books by certain authors just because people say you HAVE to. dont push through books because youre SUPPOSED to read them. read whatever the fuck you want, dont let people tell what to read.
