Tony waited for his knot to subside and when Peter went limp beneath him Tony pulled away to look at him. Peter’s head was turned to the side and his eyes were closed and his cheeks were wet with tears.
Tony’s stomach sank horribly, panic creeping up his spine. He pulled back completely so he was no longer touching Peter at all, and grabbed a blanket, draping it over him.
Peter curled up on his side, burying his face in the collection of blankets.
“Peter?” Tony asked, worried he had missed some sort of sign that Peter had wanted to stop. They had a safe word but he didn’t hear Peter use it. “Baby, what’s wrong?” Tony moved to lay beside him, keeping space between them.
“I’m sorry,” a small sob left him and he inched towards Tony, pressing his forehead against his chest . “I’m okay, I promise. I just–” There was a pause and Peter looked up at Tony.
Tony’s arm was lingering lightly on Peter’s shoulder, his fingers barely even touching his flushed skin. Peter’s eyes were glossy and wet but filled with adoration.
“I just love you so much,” he said, all other words seeming to escape him.
Tony felt the concern he was wearing on his face melt away and he smiled down at him. “I love you too,” he said, placing a kiss on Peter’s forehead. “You make me so happy.”
He then shifted so he was laying on his back and pulled Peter in so he was tucked on his side, his head resting on Tony’s shoulder. Peter snuggled in closely, seeming content for the time being.
Tony knew his heat wasn’t over, and they’d have at least one more day to get through, but right now Peter seemed like he may be able to rest.
Tony got up to get a warm wet rag, getting them both cleaned up and into some fresh clothes. He did what he could with switching out some clean sheets and fixing Peter’s nest for him as best he could, though Peter didn’t seem too picky at the moment with the exhaustion setting in.
He tried to encourage him to eat something, but after some gentle back and forth they agreed that Peter would drink some water instead. He couldn’t win them all.
Peter was nestled in, covered with a thin blanket so he wouldn’t get too hot. He looked at Tony as he placed the replenished glass of water on the nightstand, Peter having just finished the last.
“Will you rest with me?” Peter asked, hopefully.
Tony looked back at him and he could physically feel the love he had for his omega filling his chest. “Of course I will,” he agreed and crawled into the bed to join him.
He wrapped his arms around the boy from behind, burying his face in his soft brown hair. He listened to Peter breathe, his breaths becoming deep and even as he slipped into unconsciousness and Tony allowed himself to do the same.
Tony was captured by villains, and by the time the Avengers found him, he had been clearly dosed with a drug. He was itching at his skin, twitching in pain on the ground as he told his friends to stay away. He clearly panicked due to whatever was happening to him.
Nevertheless, it seemed manageable. Steve collected a sample of Tony's sweat by wiping at his forehead, and he didn't have any significant reaction. Natasha joked with Tony about the way Bruce ran to the back of their Quinjet to examine it, and he replied coherently.
It seemed manageable until Peter swung inside the cell. Tony was suddenly much more feral. His stares were lust-drenched as he eyed his young mentee from his spot on the ground. He whimpered the boy's name, clenched his teeth, and doubled over to hide his crotch, cursing.
Everybody froze with realization.
For a moment, Tony seemed to wrestle with himself, trying to keep himself down. Natasha pestered Bruce to hurry over comms. Peter stood there, all wobbly, and the only thing he thought about was how he could get rid of everyone else in the room.
Tony pushed himself down again, and the pained noise he made took Peter's breath away. "He's in pain!" the boy yelled, taking off the mask to reveal his desperate expression. Natasha pulled him to the side with difficulty. "You need to leave."
"No, you need to leave!" Peter snapped. Everyone stared at him like he was crazy, and Peter knew how messed up this was—the age difference, the mentor-mentee thing they had going on, the nature of this whole situation—the list could go on, but all Peter knew in that moment was that Tony was in pain, and he could help.
He would do anything.
"He called my name." Peter pointed out. Everyone came at him with arguments and reasons. But all that logic vanished once Bruce delivered the worst-case scenario news and told them the drug was toxic and might end up killing Tony if he didn't get release.
Tony moaned for Peter again, and before anyone could react, the boy immediately webbed his teammates up together and swung them out of the cell like they weighed nothing, then slammed the metal door and hooked it shut. Leaving no way in or out.
"Get out of here, kid," Tony said, yanking his shirt off and breathing hard and fast.
Instead, Peter removed his suit like it was on fire and rushed to Tony's side. This was insane—very insane. But he wasn't going to let Tony stark die because he didn't fuck him.
Peter didn't want to think about why he was the one the older man's called for, and he didn't have time to consider why it made him feel excited, either, because the second he was near Tony, the man lost all control and tackled Peter to the ground, smashing their lips together and catching Peter completely off guard. He was frozen for a second before he responded by kissing Tony back with equal fervor.
The others banged on the door and yelled at Peter over comms, so he threw his earpiece aside and let Tony practically fuck his mouth with his tongue. Tony's hands glided over his body, and when they found his boxers, he feverishly ripped them apart.
Peter was dizzy with pleasure. Tony Stark was kissing him.
